I recently checked out the city, here's what I think:
It's pretty good, but what makes it unique? I couldn't help but notice the glaring similarities to MYC. But there's already a MYC. It's not a bad thing to be like MYC (MYC is awesome!), but the city could definitely be more successful with say, a different scale, a different theme, or something, anything, that makes it unique. Try some different shapes and sizes and architectural styles from different decades, try building a small town, etc.
You're off to a good start, and I would love to see more from you.
Although I've stopped development of Metropolitan Industria, and there will be embassies in The City of Wasaga, if you would still like a building to represent your city, I'd be glad to PM the link of the map and help select a building of which the bottom 4 floors would become your embassy. PM me if interested, this also goes for other cities which I didn't build their embassies in time.
Good news, 0.12.0 is supposed to be released on September 8th, that will leave a September 11th release open. I'll keep this thread updated as I choose.
I usually build the lobby and one or two floors by hand to see how the layout looks. Then I build an appropriate facade and build a large wall of it to see how it fits with the city then I just copy/paste the floors to make it taller. That I do for skyscrapers, for shorter buildings such as midrises and the buildings in Chinatown, I hand build them.

So, err, it's August 28th. The grand release of Metropolitan Industria before summer break ends for me, has been, huh, delayed. Not because I'm adding more stuff in or whatnot, but 0.12.0 hasn't been released yet, and a release would have to be simultaneous and available for everyone. With that, however, I still want people to experience Metropolitan Industria in it's fullest, so I am continuing the PM me and I'll send you the map system until 0.12.0 is released.
Wow there is a beta for the city? That was.surprising!
Anyways, regarding about the Financial District, can the area be expanded? Is it a limited, well-planned
Business District? (When Wasaga will be completed, is there only a set amount of space for skyscrapers, regarding the space of the Financial District) this also applies to some mid and low rise district.
I would definitely say that the City of Wasaga has been waaaaay more well thought out than my previous cities, with buildings carefully placed to look good. As for where skyscrapers are, or are planned to be, I would refer to this map:
Pretty much anywhere in the purple zone will be several skyscrapers, with lots more midrises and lowrises.

Sure, check your PM!
On that note, I'm deciding between a October release or push it further to December, we'll see.

Here's the "height map." It shows all the planned towers and buildings in the downtown area.
Dark gray rectangles show buildings over 90+ m high
Orange rectangles show buildings around 50 m high
Red rectangles show buildings around 60-80 m high
Yellow rectangles show older, shorter buildings max 40 m high
I've only currently marked the buildings near downtown, but I'll post an updated height map later on.

All good ideas, I'll have a height map available soon with the approximate placements of buildings, and how tall each one will be.

I like it! It's well thought out, the detail is nice, and the scale used is awesome.

Have you tried first making a superflat world, then pasting it into there?

New building! If you like hand built buildings, it's good to know that this building was completely hand built! Thanks to
CheezLordy for the suggestion to build something like this, it's an interesting addition to my city!

Blues Clues! First show I ever watched in Canada! Nice to see a Minecraft map dedicated to it.
