~A NOTE TO ALL MINECRAFTERS~ If you experience troubles connecting to the server, it's not the server's problem. Minecraft.net messed up again making players unable to join SMP servers.
What he said. The server is down (more precisely, minecraft.net is having issues), we'll whitelist as soon as it gets back up.

You know how to speak "Japan"? And you know "Korean" (adjective, AKA Korean-esque)? It just so happens that 日本 is what you (incorrectly in this case) get when you type "Japanese" into Google Translate, and 한국의 is what you (incorrectly in this case) get when you type "Korean" into Google Translate.
I speak nihongo.
Sep 20, 2011Wisconsin is a nice state. It's peaceful, not under any threat of nuclear attack (Milwaukee isn't too huge of a city, and Chicago would be bombed before us. I've thought these things through plenty.).Posted in: General Off Topic
There's plenty of milk and cheese, wine is pretty nice up here, and the cold winters keep the bugs away. I have a ludicrous paranoia of insects and bugs (especially bees!), so that's a nice plus. The cold weather is cozy for cuddling up in your blanket at night.
Overall, I can't think of too many problems with Wisconsin. The only thing we really have to worry about is the occasional snowstorm or Canadians attacking from the north.

Quoting things is one of the most obnoxious and socially awkward behaviors possible. It is only acceptable if you know for a 100% fact that the person will get it and it is actually funny (not just funny in your head).
Agreed. Those kids that on the drop of the hat will quote something angers me to no end.
An example: Back in high school, our English teacher said something about the Salem Witch Trials.
Then, in pure Monty Python fashion, a jumped cloud of "does it float like a duck?" or something to that effect rises from 10 or so people. It was almost embarrassing.
Sep 20, 2011Memes occasionally infiltrate normal conversation, but for the most part, it's sane. It's a sad tale when I'm talking to a cute girl and occasionally say something along the lines of "Yeah, that football game was packed, there had to be over 9000 people there in the stands...". "Over 9000" is an ages-old meme that I am entirely annoyed with, but I can't drop it. It has seemed to replace anything meaning "a large amount" for me.Posted in: General Off Topic
Sep 20, 2011First of all, use google. That would really help get these idiotic threads out of here.Posted in: General Off Topic
I think "illiterate" would work nicely if you are just blatantly insulting someone for their apparent lack of grammar.

You should be ashamed of yourself for having such a cluttered desktop and a geniuinly terrible background. Sure, that game looks friggin' amazing, but I would recommend something a bit more simplistic, lighter, and less desktop icons.
Sep 20, 2011Holy ****, I wasn't expecting this. I was thinking this would be some sort of "Idea Guy" thread where some kid just thinks up a game and expects others to do the coding for it, but this is actually pretty cool! Good luck to you!Posted in: Computer Science and Technology
(Also, you won't find many skilled or mature coders/artists/other trades too easily around these parts...)
Sep 19, 2011When kids are young, they shouldn't be exposed to things like pornography, how to make explosives out of household devices, or generally other stuff only mature adults should be looking at.Posted in: General Off Topic
The perfect way I see it is have a whitelist-based parental control at a young age, so kids can only go to certain websites. Eventually, make it a blacklist and content filter, and slowly phase it out. Eventually, there are no parental controls.
Those who say "Parental controls are evil and should be banned!" are usually kids that are under parental controls themselves.

This is my windows Vista theme, in extreme blue-HAXX0RZ rainmeter theme. Just trying something out, and it isn't too taxing on my RAM.
This is my Debian Virtualbox, which I frequently use.
And this is what I use when I'm not playing minecraft, Crunchbang, the best Linux distribution in existence. That's an old screenshot, by the way.
