    so basically, in a snapshot they had a "reload chunks" button which i really liked, because sometimes i get chunk errors, as anyone does with a piece of **** computer

    people play minecraft with piece of **** computers it just happens and we payed for it just like you did.


    so after one snapshot they removed it calling it "useless"
    that pissed me off honestly since it was clearly not useless ESPECIALLY with 1.3
    i just started a world and a chunk wasn't even solid, like literally you could fall down the world

    and aside from that, when i generate a new world it is about 60% unloaded chunks until my character is right on the chunk, it's less smooth if anything and if they kept the "reload chunks" button on r or whatever it was it would basically be a huge solution to this, atleast temporarily while the chunk loading sucks because let's face it, they ****ed minecraft. but beyond that it is still really useful for when chunk errors do occur because it completely gets rid of them i think


    what makes me angry is they don't even play their game enough to know it's actually useful and it was as i said, retarded to remove.

    i think they should bring it back because its an insult to their own intelligence and ours to call it "useless"

    okay, this has always been a problem in minecraft ever since early beta when they really started adding stuff, squid for example, we waited 3 weeks for, and when the update came, there were no squid (yeah big deal) it was a big deal at the time because of the hype, now atleast there is a tiny bit of atmosphere to the EMPTY oceans.

    they add cool stuff like the iron golem, then practically remove it from the game, making it TOO RARE for an average player to ever notice is a thing, it ruins the features and mojang's hard work, and frustrates me to no end.

    and no "when you do find the rares it's more worth it"
    no it isn't, it has to be possible to find in the first place, without having to explore 2000 blocks from spawn, this is about atmosphere, not reward.


    look at HEXXIT, nothing is too rare in hexxit and it makes the game alot more fun and adds ATMOSPHERE. if it is too rare, it's worth it massively, how did 3rd party modders not being payed 50 dollars an hour add 10 times more stuff in a fraction of the time it has taken mojang to? it just doesn't make sense.

    -witch huts
    -nether fortresses again, because they're SO RARE.

    okay let's start with villages
    they said they were going to make villages spawn in more biomes around 1.2 but that turned out to be a lie
    -the only spawn in "flat areas" and most of the time they just don't spawn period.
    My current seed I'm using doesn't even have a village anywhere on the 4:4 map and that makes the world more bland and empty and dead, and when you do find a village finally? they have crap trades and crap AI, you have to build a fence around the village so they don't get slaughtered and light up every block or they get slaughtered anyways, jeb didn't even take the time to light all the buildings so that they generate with light. villages need to be revised to atleast spawn properly.

    and iron golems? I've NEVER seen a village equipped with one, you say they're not supposed to? well then why were they added as a "village defense" if you have to have the village fortified anyways? iron golems are a great feature, there atleast comes a tiny bit of justice with being able to craft iron golems. I want to carry one around on a lead for some help with zombies when trying to get records.

    -mob spawner dungeons
    and how exactly are we supposed to find them? the way I recognize as legitimate is using the X-ray machine, a track, a minecart and a redstone block, I never would have found a dungeon yet without this in my current world, even though I've searched for HOURS in the caves, finding nothing, and even then you might not find a saddle for the horses, so the average player would think you just can't ride horses.

    -zombie villagers
    okay an alternative to finding a village, yay!
    NOPE once dinnerbone saw that docm77 had a villager farm he had to "nerf" zombie villagers
    now it took me 3 whole nights in minecraft to find just one villager with a garbage trade
    -that brings me to another point, dinnerbone is somewhat corrupt in the fact that he only adds stuff that his FRIENDS like docm77 and etho want, he plays UHC with the popular kids and suddenly it's in the game as a solid feature? this can be good or bad, but also a waste of time. like the "UHC snapshot" that's a bit corrupt doing things to help out friends don't you think, dinnerbone? especially considering I had a conversation with you and you lied, saying you have never added features based on what your friends ask for.

    you're a great dev dinnerbone, you have made a huge contribution, but you need to stop working so hard just to impress your FRIENDS etho, docm etc.

    -nether fortresses
    I spent SIX HOURS looking for a nether fortress before finally giving up and finding one with MCEdit, this is very frustrating considering you have to find a nether fortress to fight the wither and to find blaze rods for brewing, and SERIOUSLY what else does the nether have to offer that you don't find within the first 100 blocks? nether quartz? get real, this is a ruined feature, the nether has no atmosphere how do they expect anyone to find nether fortresses when you can't even navigate the nether without leaving a trail of torches/cobble? did they even think that through? don't even get me started on how sometimes you can just spawn in solid netherrack. oh one more thing, now my DIM-1 folder is TWICE THE SIZE of my overworld. yeah. no, that's unacceptable.

    -witch huts
    -they're hideous and never spawned witches for me until 13w39b
    seriously? you guys saw the witch towers that awesome mods added and then added an ugly watered down version that is too rare for even advanced players to really find? you realize that not everyone can make big 5 gig worlds looking for this stuff, I only get usually one swamp per world and I got very lucky to see that the swamp I have does have a witch hut, but before that I NEVER saw it other than in creative with a seed. and when I did see a witch hut, there was no witch, period. witch huts might as well have not been added.

    -nether fortresses again. COME ON, they're the ONLY THING to find in the nether, and you ofen can't find one without 6 hours of searching. this seriously needs to change. someone. please hear me out.

    -iron golems in villages
    yeah as I've said, I have never once seen an iron golem spawn naturally not even in a superflat world, adding them as a "village defense" was their original purpose but then jeb had to make them extremely rare so people couldn't farm iron but they DO IT ANYWAYS. villages need to be looked at again, and made alive and solid and functional, not just clusters of houses ofen too buried to identify, villages were so hyped too, and they are a ruined feature because they're too rare, and not alive.

    okay horses spawning in plains makes sense and sure they can be rare, but what's not okay? making none of the stuff craftable.
    when jeb added horses he said something like "we made saddles etc dungeons only so the player will find them metagame rather than at spawn, well, you can just get a seed with a dungeon and horses and there you have horses at spawn, what this really does? ruins it for the average player.
    this is equivalent to adding something, then completely removing it *cough* COLORED GLASS*
    it's like, you spent hours coding this allegedly, why did you just ruin all of your hard work?

    well that's my big rant, Idk if anyone will read through it, but you didn't have to, so if you disagree, I won't be taking any of your opinions into consideration, this is a suggestion and I don't care what you have to say disagreeing with me. so go ahead, quote the entire post, disagree down to the last period, I won't be reading it.

    I made no mention of jungle temples/desert temples because they're kinda just loot houses and are ugly, they should atleast have spawners to make it a minuscule challenge.

    the game is fun sure, but they promised this stuff would add atmosphere to the game, but most of the time you spawn you get a forest 1000 blocks in any direction, the game is very dead, unless you get a PERFECT seed like xbcrafted found for me.

    I sincerely hope they don't change the flint and steel and creeper thing. because if you can automatically detonate them then that is very useful. very. you don't have to hit them with the sword and deal with them. another use added to flint and steel.

    Kay so, with 1.6, they added baby zombies, spawning what I think to be randomly, they are a menace as the title explains, a huge menace.

    my suggestion is that they make them half the speed or 1/3 the damage that they do now, or ATLEAST burn in the daylight like regular zombies

    I've lost 5 hardcore worlds, all to one thing, baby zombies.

    FIVE WORLDS of which I wouldn't have lost in 1.5, I would consider this a game breaker.

    I put this in suggestions because it will be considerably a Feature to have them function correctly, and that mojang MIGHT see this. but probably not.
    and no, I can't put it on mojira because the mods there are rude, unresponsive, and don't believe me on bugs, they literally just resolve them pretty much automatically, and bugs seem to have priority in there, obviously I bet somebody reported baby zombies as a bug by now so say like how horses move Very laggy? that will get pushed to the back while furnace texture in an item frame is top priority on fixing bugs. mojira is still a pretty bad system.


    so what's wrong with them?

    -they're fast, pretty much 5 times faster than normal zombies
    -they do just as much damage as full grown zombies, but are tiny, this is an unfair advantage
    -they drop NO reward, exp, or even worthless zombie flesh, they're just a detriment and a game breaker
    -they DON'T BURN IN THE DAYLIGHT
    -if they pick up an item of yours, they keep it even after death.

    when 1.6 came out, I asked my friend if they were implimented as a glitch, but they weren't I guess, they're glitchy, they're TOO POWERFUL.


    now, don't get me wrong, I LOVE the new feature of 1.6, the mobs are everywhere, it turns into a battlefield at night, going out at night is something you regret, and that's how minecraft is supposed to be, like alpha, ever since alpha I wanted HOARDS of zombies to come at me because well, they're zombies.

    and this is finally true, now you have to have skill to go out at night, so remember, I'm not complaining about any other mobs OTHER THAN baby zombies.

    but the one thing that puts a peg in all of this is when I lose a hardcore world to baby zombies, I even lost a world in the daytime because one didn't burn and got me.


    one final point- this is just another reason why mojang needs to start releasing snapshots again, to adjust the bugs from 1.6 like baby zombies, can't shift click while on a horse etc
    it's no effort for them to upload the snapshot so I HOPE it's for some kind of reason that they're not adding any, if its really just because they were taking a break then that is pretty disappointing.

    I personally think they're a great feature as is. It's nice to have something different every once in awhile when fighting Zombies. I have not been killed a single time by them, they are pretty damn easy to kill.



    Mobs have the "persistence" tag added to them if they pick up an item off the ground, which prevents them from despawning. They also have a 100% chance of dropping the item they picked up.


    wrong. zombies actually RARELY spawn with armor, making them probably 2% of all zombies and they're a single, slow target.

    you CAN'T say they're good as is, they need to do less damage, and drop the items that they pick up and drop EXP then maybe they'll be acceptable
    and burn in the day unless they have a helmet, but mind you the helmet rapidly loses durability so your statement is also invalid to some degree.

    honestly, hardcore worlds are for those who expect to lose them sooner or later. its a game mode for people who see challenges like that and say 'seriously? thats the best you can do?' its a game mode for masochists, really.

    just play a regular hard map. difficulty is subjective, and changing 'hard' to be easier just so you can feel manly when you tell your friends you play on hard isnt a good enough reason.


    this reply is inferior, how do you know I'm not a masochist?
    I play for the reward of defeating the ender dragon without dying once, kinda like being legendarily good, it's rewarding in it's own way, kinda like feeling more realistic, you die and you're done, if you can make it to the dragon, you're awesome.

    and this is completely besides the point, the baby zombies are overpowered and broken, saying "just don't play hardcore" is equal to microsoft saying "buy a 360 if you don't want your xbox to always be connected" or "#dealwithit"

    yep minecraft upgraded to 32X32 but it's a spoileralert easter egg secret feature and you're the only one who got it, good job man.
