Thank you so much for continuing mine and Xaivern's work so diligently. It's nice being able to jump back in every once in a while and still get a taste of the game as I remember it.

    Rock on!

I think i may have finally gone a bit too far...

I've decided i'll be redoing my wool now that carpets and hardened clay are out.

I'll be adding a wool top texture for carpets, wool sides will be wallpaper, and hardened clay will be tiles.

Here's the thing... I'm using random ctm and adding at least 10 varients per material per color.

    3 materials X 10+ varients each X 16 colors = 500+ textures.

So... yes, just between wool and hardened clay, my pack will have over 500 textures... for 2 block types.

The question here is, how bad of a performance problem would this likely cause? Is it going to fry anyone's GPU, or just require a bit more ram allocated to minecraft to run properly?

    Anyway, have a picture.

Holy crap! Well, if you ask me, its worth it. That green tile is beautiful. Have you noticed any hits to your FPS?

Xaivern and I are both taking breaks due to vacations, but I'd still like to fill you in on what we have planned for the near future!:

*Horses!- Our first priority is finishing up support for 1.6 and that means Horses! We are already bouncing ideas back and forth and I think you will all be happy with what we have in store.

*Revisions Revisions Revisions!- After such a long break from the pack, Xaivern and I both are taking a fresh new look at the pack and actively working on improving many of the older textures.

*Bug Fixes!-Wondering what happened to the font? So are we! That, among other things, we plan on correcting. There are lots of little things such as item re-centering, file misplacement, missing textures, and more that we plan on bringing back to normal in a coming update. This is also where you- the community- comes into play! We need your help in pointing these things out so we can give you all the smoothest experience possible. So be vocal, post any issues in this thread and we will be sure to take note of them.

*[CLASSIFIED]- With the new 1.6 update we have the ability to bring you all a wide range of new content to continue our theme. We are keeping our eyes and ears open and listening to you guys, and already have a lot of crazy stuff planned that we want to bring to you in one form or another. I suggest you stick around to see what we come up with.

Wow. Just one day after our grand return and we are already onto the future! That's a lot of stuff for you all to remember, and it's just as hard for us too! Luckily for you (and me) we have a public Google Doc that you all can check into anytime where we post our current projects and plans and update them regularly. It's worth a peek if you are interested in what goes on behind the scenes. Feel free to post comments and discuss either in the document itself or here on the forums! Click on through this link to have a look yourself: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1R9i3mOnrb0WVAV8oudWDO9LFNxouLqnEvHyD2v4Oueo/edit?usp=sharing

We are so excited to be back and bringing you fresh content once again. Go ahead and download the newest version for 1.6 and get ready for an adventure unlike any other. It's just the beginning.

I like them, but they seem a bit noisy (Assuming they are for Xaiwaker)

Call it a new style? :) We are trying out a few new things. I'll try whipping up a few with a bit less noise and see how they work too. Thanks! :D

Really nice ones, but i think that the top left one could be used more as iron block, and they have a blue tint that is.... extremely nice :)

Thank you! We thought the warmer colors in default just didn't feel right. I think this fits our pack better.

It's been a long time, but Xaivern and I are back at Xaiwaker! I'm really glad to see that the Union is still just as lively as ever.

And, as such, I would like to hear your opinions on our Quartz materials?

Hello there everyone! It's been a while but Xaivern and I have made our return! It was one of the most sudden and out of the blue decisions we have made, but in a matter of 48 hours we created textures for almost everything updated and are so happy with the result. Here is a taste of the things we changed, hope you all enjoy!

Really loving this pack, Steel. Been lurking around, following this for a while now and I have to say it is really becoming something wonderful! Really unique art style and colors. In a way almost reminds me of Frenden's pack! (Do people even still remember that pack??) Anyways, I would definitely choose this over Sphax, or just about any other cartoon pack. Keep up the good work :)

I am really curious as to why my name has been taken off of the license and tags. I may have stopped working on this pack, but my textures are still just as much a part of the pack as ever before. I would like it if you would respect my additions to the pack and the work I put in. If you really do not want me in the license, then I would have to ask you to remove any work I have put into this pack, but I don't think that is something anybody wants.

I will not be reviewing applications on this thread any longer, as I will likely get infractions for responding to applications. If you are really interested in Muddy Puddles feel free to PM me. There is a possibility the staff of Muddy Puddles will take this thread over; however, do not expect any replies from this thread until that happens. Thank you, as always for you interest in Muddy Puddles!

Looks like I need to post this again. Thanks for the censorship, moderators. Must suck to have to censor people to make yourselves look good.

This is unbelievable. Maintaining a popular thread is NO REASON for an infraction. Multiple times we have been thanked for our interaction on the thread, people enjoy it. We are not bumping the thread, or looking for more applications. Hell, we hardly have space for anybody else. Our whole goal is to make the application process as smooth and enjoyable as possible, and one tier of that is maintaining contact with the applicants, walking them through the entire thing. No, i would not say we are posting excessively. Mopy edits posts when posting about downtimes, multiquotes applicants, and makes use of private messaging. If this is how you plan on treating quality threads- COMMUNITIES- I'll let everyone know, this is not the place to go to try and start a quality thread.

As the community continues to grow, (YAY) I thought I would put a little word out there about peoples building styles. We do encourage many, any, and all building styles, but make sure to communicate with your neighbors. Collaborate, build in similar styles, or find out that your styles clash, and maaaaybe building in a different place would be a better idea!
So keep on applying, I am excited to see you guys in game! :D

Thought I would give this server a little bump because it is so great! Now, I may be a little biased considering I have been working on it since the start, but we are working our hardest to create a pure, simple, and exciting experience to enjoy with others. So tell all your friends! Muddy Puddles is ready to take your minecraft experience to the next level!
