If you right click on the item in the item frame it will rotate and increase the amount of redstone signal coming out of the comparator!!!

Nov 22, 2013chadmart posted a message on Snapshot 13w47a Ready for Testing!Isn't it funny when people think that every snapshot should contain exactly what they want fixed. Did it ever occur to you that this has been in development since before the release of 1.7? Perhaps, since this update was based on the 1.7 code, they have to get it in place to see what happens before they start doing bug fixes? I'm not a programmer, so I don't know... just speculating. The point is, even with bugs in the game (not that I've even noticed any... I'm not saying that there aren't bugs, just that whatever they are, they don't affect my game play, certainly not enough to make 1.7 unplayable), it is still a great game, and has fantastic support and updates. And you know, if you believe that 1.7 is unplayable, well, then isn't 1.6 still fun enough of a game to play until such a time as 1.7 comes up to your standards?Posted in: News

Oh, new portal frame sizes.. Although I haven't had any need for other size portals (yet).
I just like the fact that I can center a portal in an odd-width room now. ;-) -

May 14, 2012chadmart posted a message on Snapshot 12w19a is Ready For Testing!I tried it out on one of my machines. The Cocoa beans plants are awesome, but I was playing on an existing world, so I didn't see the larger biomes. Maybe I'll start a new world just on this machine. Anyway, the one thing that I don't like is that I can't truly "pause" my game. WhenI hit escape which usually pauses the game, I can see the stuff moving behind the pause screen and still hear the sounds. I can understand this type of setup for a multiplayer/server environment, but for single player I would like to be able to pause the game to go get a snack/use the bathroom/whatever rather than having to log out to ensure that I'm safe.Posted in: News

Thanks. I appreciate it.

I have to say that this mod so far is amazing! I played it for a couple of hours today and can't wait to play more! Are there saddles available in Middle Earth? Or do I have to find them in the over world?

Any help would be appreciated. I liked the look of the black stone bricks.

Direwolf20, this has been my introduction to mods and I jumped in feet first! It's a little confusing having all of these machines and such that don't necessarily work together, but I'm having a great time learning it all! Thanks!

As has been said already, the wiki is a great place to learn. I really don't use maps that much, so I can't help you there.

My melon farm is fully functional, and is triggered by pigs, so I just let it go. Everything drops into the collection streams and ends up at the sorter. I have to do the same for cactus and sugarcane still. I also need to build harvesting features into the other farms (wheat, carrots, potatoes.) I think I'll have a sorter at the wheat farm so that the wheat goes to my storage room to be sorted, while the seeds stay at the farm to be re-planted. Don't know what I'll do with carrots and potatoes... as I want them to go to storage, but I also need them to re-plant... hmmm.

Other than that the only real option is the village where carrots are already growing. If you have only been playing a few days then it is likely that there will be a village not too far away. But sometimes they just aren't right there, and you have to go farther to find them.

I'll post some screencaps later, as well as try to find the seed number if I can.
Has anyone else seen a floating village?
Update:
Here is the seed: 76361434
I did make a mistake however, the buildings and farms aren't floating over the water, they are just in water, with the doors a couple blocks above the surface. Still it makes for an interesting village. These screenshots are from a fresh gen. of the world, but in the one I started the other day we built dirt paths between all the buildings so we could get around.
