So we're going to be able to have like, two sets of clothing per skin? o-o
I wonder if in the future they'll be adding the ability to swap PARTS of skins on the fly whilst in game, how awesome would that be?! O.O
Being able to literally change clothing in a Roleplay server, have work uniforms and special regal outfits for royalty and space-suits in sci-fi role-play that could be drawn from a list by a command block or something, only covering specific portions of a characters body on the hat layer and reverting to their original skin texture when done! O-O

Sep 23, 2012cerberouse posted a message on Minecraft News - Witches, Bats & Sound Effects! That's hilarious that people seem to think MC is an RPG xD I guess it can be an RPG, if you use the sandbox game to make it so. Role Playing Game doesn't = Minecraft. I love the bats, they seem so neat! and i'm sure someone will make a mod that'll let us have them as pets, maybe have a bat sitting post and have them seek out ore thats like, at most two blocks deep with echo location :3!Posted in: News

Aug 24, 2012cerberouse posted a message on 12w34a Snapshot Available for Testing!Holy crap, i was just thinking and realised that the dying of armor could have a much larger impact than we all think. With things like MCpatcher and texture pack creators being able to make mobs and such have multiple textures, i can see dyed leather armor actualy taking on different appearances in texture packs. Perhaps then a mod might come out that segregates a color(s) to certant ranks as well as using these texture packs, so blue dye might make leather armor look like elven armor, grey dye like dwarven etc etc...Posted in: News

Aug 24, 2012cerberouse posted a message on 12w34a Snapshot Available for Testing!I'm adoring the looks of this snapshot! Though with all this food now, I'd love to see them have effects. Sure you could grow all kinds of food, but as it stands they only fill your hunger, you could have a wheat farm or grow potatoes and carrots, or go kill a pig or two and be fine for 3-4 days. Giving different foods varying effects (cooked fish gives a slight swim bonus, cooked pork gives one extra hunger bar that goes away when you becoming hungry, cooked beef gives one extra heart that goes away when you're hurt, cakes gives a slight speed buff, carrots raise your sight by one light level for five minutes, potatoes make you slightly harder to knock back, apples make hunger drop slower etc) would defenitly make new foods an even more welcome addition as well as encouraging us to expand our pallets and making a full on farm a great boon! Not only that, but it would also make farmers in say, RP servers a good deal more interesting than just growing a 8x10 field of wheat to sell to folks.Posted in: News

I can dig having Essentia and Vis effectively converted into more
ecological niches rather than the very mechanical methods we've used to
acquire these resources. With that in mind I'd kill for some more
environmental Thaumaturgy, something along the lines of Herbological
pursuits, as it stands we've only got a very few items related to
nature. If this conversion were to go forward it'd make sense to want to
enrich the environment and Aura with symbolic buildings, items and
natural aspects like special trees, bushes, flowers and even water
features that could nurture a stronger and more diverse selection of elements in the aura to draw from.
Maybe certain plants and effigies could infuse the Aura with compound aspects that could
assist with infusion and wand-works! :3 I do love my in-world-builds that offer tangible effects!:D

I had no problem with my first Thaumcraft world, but i've been thauming it up since TC2 and was able to connect the dots of what-was-what with some critical thinking. How ever! I know i'm far from a good barometer of how hard things can be for some folks, so to say, "This was easy" would be super disingenuous!
Maybe having your character make a small comment in the bottom right when a black or item is rightclicked on the first time to give a hint as to what aspects might be involved? At a certant point you gotta hit the wiki, regardless, even in Vanilla Minecraft if it's your first foray in.
When i first got the game back in the first launches of Alpha Survival i had no idea how to craft, so i punched stone blocks out of a mountain to build a house, then after finding out tried to plant seed and watered them by dumping a bucket of water straight onto the sprouts x3

Looking at the OP and their comments, i'd be more afraid that idiots are taking over minecraft than fan-boys...
