posted a message on Making Rain more Interesting

I think it would be a nice add if rain could be either "heavy" or "light". Maybe like a little drizzle sometimes, and other times the rain falls faster?

Yeah, and things would adjust, like cauldrons filling and crops growing faster or slower depending on whether the rain is “heavy” or “light”.

EDIT: In the case of crops in rain, they’ll grow slightly faster in light rain, and noticably faster in heavy rain.

This is needed ASAP. But I think it should just be two slabs next to each other. Move chisel recipes to stonecutter and have this fix slabs (and stairs if possible).

In retrospect, yeah. 2 slabs for one full block would make more sense, since 3 blocks = 6 slabs in a crafting table.

Edit: And stonecutter splits a block into 2 slabs. Forgot about that.

A crafting recipe that turns slabs back into full blocks. Maybe 3 slabs all in one column for 3 full blocks. Sometimes you need to make them back into blocks so you can craft stuff with them.

posted a message on Is there something wrong with my Minecraft PE?

I wasn't talking about the splash, I was talking about the tips that show on the loading screen.

Anyway, today I found it again, sorta leading me to believe that it's an actual tip message.

The black particles weren't from an enderman, as they were literally black rectangles, not purple curly things. This is probably just a bug with my Minecraft PE.

Also I sorta see now how my comment makes me look like some child afraid of Minecraft, lol.

    Tl:dr: probably just a coincidence.

posted a message on Is there something wrong with my Minecraft PE?

I started up my Minecraft world, and the first tip message I get is "DONT LEAVE TREES FLOATING" in all caps. Then when I spawned, black square particle-things appeared at my spawnpoint. When I save and quit the opened the world again, nothing strange happened.

Is that message an actual tip message and the black particles just a bug? I wanna know, because this is kinda freaking me out.

posted a message on What is the best Minecraft platform to play on?

    In my opinion:

    1. PC

    2. Xbox/Playstation

    3. Portable (Smartphone, tablet, etc)

    Switch = ???

I've played on all these platforms but the Nintendo Switch, and I'd say that Xbox is a pretty close second, and would be tied for first if the Xbox Edition supported mods. I'd put playing on a portable device last due to how Pocket Edition crashes occasionally and glitches a bit.

posted a message on Cave update ideas

I like the idea of adding more ores and gems into Minecraft, but I don't think we need to introduce so many at once.

If Mojang decides to add new ores/gems, I think they should start with adding only 3 new ores maximum in the supposed cave update, as:

    1. Adding 4 or more new ores would require at least half of them to all serve a function, preferably new ones, as having 4 or 5 different ores which are only used for armour and tools would be a bit bland, and wouldn't introduce any new mechanics.

    2. Adding too many ores at once would maybe confuse people a bit, as adding a bunch of ores with varying spawning levels and biome specifications would in fact be confusing.

So in my opinion, I think they should add two (three maximum) ores that serve new functions, such as:

-An ore that can level up an enchantment on an item, or one on an enchantment book, through the crafting table or other means.

-An ore that could possibly be used a lower (or higher) form of currency in villages.

-An ore that can be infused into a piece of armour through an anvil, and will give the armour piece a random potion effect, which will be bestowed upon its wearer (the selection of the potion effect when infusing the ore will be random, but the potion effect will not randomly change.)

These features I said will probably not be implemented, but it's fun suggesting them either way.

Edit: Stalagmites and Stalactites are a cool idea. They would give some more atmosphere to the caves, which as of now are just tunnels, ravines, and sometimes abandoned mineshafts and strongholds.
