yes you can villages can have obsidion and get to nether is number 1

it is very possible i did it before i placed it on the forms
hint on super flat there it a 10% chance that when you die your spawn changes

The slime survival is a challenge in which you have to go to the nether but you have to put it on hardcore and super flat
therefor you have to find a NPC village to get food and weapons also in a NPC village you can find a smith with a chest inside that may have armor, food,weapon, ores or ingots, and sometimes obsidian. also since you are on super flat it is only four blocks deep so slime can spawn everywhere while you find NPC villages
