    1.13 Update (part 1):

Discontinuation of 16x support. 32x will continue, but version 1.12 is the the last time the 16x packs will be updated (I also removed adfly from the main download link). As for the 1.13 update, Mojang renamed every texture in file and code so most of the time was spent fixing that.

New: wolf, cod, buckets of fish, horse armor, saddle, spruce trapdoor, blue ice, seagrass.

There are also new spawn egg images for nonvanilla mobs--but you need to keep in mind with these textures that I have no control over the automatic color overlay that totally messes up most of the images. I'm making them anyway in the hope that eventually Mojang will allow customization in that regard so I can remove the filter entirely and just show the images.

Updated: texture for "oak trapdoor" is now "dark oak trapdoor.

posted a message on How to change color overlays on eggs and recipe book?

This is all pertaining to version Minecraft 1.13 (though these problems have existed for several versions now).

    First question:
I've figured out how to change the item that shows for spawning eggs but I can't figure out how to get rid of the color overlay. Does anyone know of a way to do this? Some of the images are downright unrecognizeable after the color overlay goes on, so I'd like to get rid of it altogether if that's an option.

Second question: Does anyone know how to change the colors in the recipe book? Example below. I'm not referring to the square texture under "all" (already changed that), but the overlay color overlay in the actual crafting area itself.

These things have been driving me nuts so if anyone can offer any insight it would be much appreciated! Thanks.

Another 1.12 Update: It may look small but there was a lot of back end stuff that needed to be updated.

Brown terracotta core changed to light grey so that the brown can now be the "virtual reality assistance core." New light grey, black, white, and brown cores. All core animation code was also updated and the broken animations were fixed.

So every terracotta is now officially an animated core, hooray!

Anyways, one of the features in the game is that you can play with a robot dog. So where am I going with this? I want the Wolf textures to be changed to the robot dog, the tamed Wolf to be a blue-eyed version of the robot dog (don't know what to do about the collar, though), an the aggressive Wolf to be a red-eyed version of the dog.

Here's a video of the dog in action.

Interesting! I'll have to give that a look. I definitely want to switch out some of the mobs at some point, but it depends entirely on feasibility/time/etc.

Hey man, can I come with a suggestion?

Could you add some music to the game, as in portal music? :)

    Edit:

    Btw, I've read the permissions, but I want to be sure;

So I've added some sounds to the pack, but not any textures. If i want to share it with people I can do that if credit to both you (and the maker of the sounds) is given right? also if it's a non-ad downloadable link correct?

Music is tricky because that gets a lot more copyright-infringing. It's also tricky on a technical level since I don't really have access to good sound software ...so this is unlikely to be added in the future, sorry. If someone ever makes a good sound pack to accompany them I'll check it out and possibly add the link to the main page, but I don't think sounds will ever be added in my resource pack as a general download.

And yes to your permissions question, that sounds fine.

    Another 1.12 update:

New: Lime/green beds textured to look like the bed in the opening scene of Portal 2, a random red bed, Elytra, Husk/Stray, and cracked Normal/smooth granite walls to accompany the "dirty" diorite ones.

For some reason, when I try to download the resourcepack using the links on this page, I get a 1.10 or maybe even 1.9 version. Can you please change the links so that the 1.12 version is downloaded instead? Thank you in advance.

Wow, you're totally right! I have no clue how that happened because the packs had definitely updated... and seem to have reverted to the 1.10 update somehow. Huh. I'll have to talk to my admin and see if it isn't something server-side (I didn't even keep a copy of that particular version, so it's actually quite handy that it reverted because now I can archive it in the change logs XD . I'll put a backup of 1.12 in there as well just in case it reverts again). Anyway, the "correct" links are back up again and with a bonus: light and heavy pressure plates now look like portal buttons.

One day later EDIT: Oh no! Mojang broke the beds as well! (Dissatisfied noises). I might as well make this a full-on update then. So along with the new pressure plates I have also fixed the language files, recipe book and crafting guis. The old bed has been retextured into a white bed (other bed colors may appear in the future), and there are also new Vindicator, Evoker, Witch, Illustionist and totem of undying.

I whipped up a temporary fix for the "missing cores" issue. I still plan to have the cores as terracotta in the future (so that is unchanged), but copying these files to your pack should make the cores wool again until Mojang releases terracotta officially.

Sorry for the inconvenience. Again, I'll try to make sure going forward that I don't make large changes with snapshot textures.

Are there downloads for older versions? I'm dissatisfied with some of the textures that were changed in the current version.

Yes, in the change log. The most recent backup was for 1.9. When I change textures I tend to try and keep the old textures in the "alternates" folder whenever I can, so if you dislike the new glowstone or something you're welcome to switch it out yourself.

    What
happened the cores? they were my favorite part of this texture pack
when i downloaded it 2 years ago, but now i can't find them anywhere...

The cores are terracotta in the most recent update so they can match the "hard clay" cubes (it makes a bit more sense in-game with the crafting recipes). It's currently a snapshot texture, but will be released officially whenever Mojang gets around to it. I hadn't actually thought about it but I guess it's a good idea in the future not to make big changes for snapshot textures--In the future I'll try to hold off those changes until the official releases so no-one feels like they got a "broken" pack.

    I
will add my request to Quazamaster's for older versions. This looks
very good, and I would like to use it, but since 1.12 is still in
snapshot form (not an official release yet) and terracotta does not yet
exist, I would like to use the previous version of this. Is that
possible? Also, it would be nice - not just for me, but for others who
might want it - to be able to use older versions for the textures that
have since been changed that some might not prefer to the older ones.

    It
is absolutely your prerogative to design/update your pack exactly as
you want it, not how others do. That being said, the ability to choose
which of your wonderful textures to use by choosing which version to
download would be a welcome thing. Thank you.

Yeah, I tend to keep some older versions in the change log from time to time. It looks like the last "saved state" is the 1.9 update. So you guys are welcome to use that if you wish, or any earlier version that I backed up, like 1.8 or 1.6, etc. And I do keep "older" textures in the "alternate textures" folder so you guys can mix and match as you wish--I understand people have their own personal preferences, and I've tried to plan for that as much as I can.

    1.12 (sorta) Update

"Personality cores" are now Terracotta instead of the colored wool. I'm sorry if this change is annoying to anyone, but it makes more sense in-game and frees up the wool for me to make some useful carpets and decorations with. On that note: you might want to avoid using the wools/hardened clay I haven't gotten around to texturing yet because eventually they WILL update to match the others. If you want to build with just solid colors use concrete instead--I plan on leaving concrete untouched for color purposes.

    New:
-Glowstone lamp and Redstone lamp. The old blue ones were dated, dated dated. These new ones fit in with the overall aesthetic better.
-Brewing stand and potions (textured to look like IV bags).
    -Sign

    -Prismarine variants, Sea Lanturn
-Brick (I might tweak this later, this was mostly a quick fix to make it make sense with the clay textures)

Brewing Stand and Potions are IV bags

    Prismarine blocks

and bonus gif (shows off the diorite and andesite walls from the last update):

    1.11 update

I simultaneously love and hate Mojang. It's frustrating after a few months away to return and realize that what used to be one mob is now somehow 15 different freaking variations and many, many more changes needed even just to catch the pack back up to what it "should" be. So this update is mostly fixing things Mojang broke on the back end and playing catch up. A few nice new things, though!

    New:

    -Evoker and Vex mobs.

    -Zombie villagers
    -Observer Block.
-Animated Command blocks (includes Repeat and Chain variations).
    -Animated Structure blocks
-Diorite/polished diorite is now a "dirty" two block high wall.

    Updated:
-fixed Shulker (and added the different color versions)

    -Chorus fruit/popped chorus fruit
-updated miscellaneous outdated textures with Faithful 32x32 versions

Please note that the 16x version is not "quite" up to date yet. I'll finish updating that one over the next couple of days.

Next time I update I'll look at those textures and see if there are any I can use in the pack. A few of those I think I already made textures for, but the vine one will definitely be useful with a bit of resizing! =) Thanks for sharing. As for the "non portable" block, I just called it that because I don't know the official name. The portal 1 versions of unportable surfaces are all "Quartz" and the portal 2 (old aperture) versions are "End Bricks."

Can you make the entire pack portal 2 like the moon rock walls and non portable walls ?

The pack has some Portal 2 elements, but I'm not going to make the entire pack like Portal 2 because I still want Portal 1 included. I'm planning on adding a few more dirty wall versions like Portal 2 has, but haven't gotten around to that yet. As for "moon rock walls" I already have textures for the normal portable surfaces (like this screenshot from Portal 1) and non portable walls from both Portal 1 and Portal 2.

    First 1.10 Update

New: nether wart, nether wart block, red nether brick, cactus, magma block, black/grey/white wool. The "obsidian" texture is now hardened black clay (so it can go with the other cubes) and there is a new obsidian block. I've also included a grey "crusher plate" version of the magma block in the alternative textures.

    Fixed 32x nether quartz.
