Yeah I trust you.You are using common sense not like some other users....
The point of the program? Why?

Well the thing is that pretty much anyone can learn Java but they do not have the motivation or they just get scared of a 1.5h long youtube tutorial. Or if it is in text form than people will see this block of text over the whole screen and they will just give up.
That explains why I made the text pop us in my web page. The page is kinda of a user friendly upgrade to jcm2606's Why MCreator sucks file. And I can bet that 90% or people that it is intended for did not read half of it. The starting impression just makes the user get over loaded wit text so they leave.
So you can compare lets say Pahimars/ScratchForFuns tutorials as the article that jcm2606 made. And the program as the web page that I made. It's pretty much the same thing but one is user friendly and interactive and the other one is not. The difference is small but the effect is huge!
So basically the catch to the program is to let the user know that it is really not a big deal.
And trust me when someone wants to learn a computer language he will over exaggerate intensely. Because there will be thoughts like: "Oh man I am going to try and understand this super fancy thing and If I do it I will be the cool guy!" but in reality it is really s much simpler than that.

So to sum up: the program will be more of a moral support to the user than a tutorial. (but of course it will be both)

I see! It'd be great! I would love to help, maybe being a beta tester. :)

I don't know if you will read this, but anyways, I'll try...

First of all, thanks for your help! Really!

Secondly, my veredict is that both sides are kind of right, (I'm really sorry I haven't read some parts of the discussion, but...) here's what I think:

LapizSea and jcm260, I have noticed it, maybe you don't and you do it with no intention, that you speak (write) sort of snobbishly, as if everyone knew as much as you, I'm not complaining nor intending to offend, just an opinion...

Cork55, as I see it, it's not very good to explode like that, if you don't like how some individuals behave, just ignore them, in order to avoid this type of discussions.

I would also like to remember you that I'm not in the side of anyone, you three did something wrong (well, not "wrong", but, not good seen) and also helped me, hope you understand and don't want to kill me for writing this...

    Welcome to the forums! XD
This isn't an argument. We are merely discussing our views. Such is the purpose of the forums. Changes won't be made to the system if we don't sound our voice; support for the system only exists when people actually support the system. You were never (and still aren't) obligated to respond to everything or anything posted. As I have stated I see it as more of an open discussion which helps the developement of the game, which is the reason I came to the forums in the first place. And, quite frankly, the reason they were ever created.

Hey! I came to the forums to learn, to discover, not to discuss most of the time! XD
Sorry if I didn't use the right word, but I really meant discussion, "open discussion" if you want to.
I'm morally obligated, if you responded me, I should respond you, just for being a good person, or at least a fair one.
    Thanks for your time!

I really think that if you made a program like that, it would be very similar to a modding tutorial, don't you think so?

I wouldn't botter even on asking someone to make a program like that, because learning how to mod with Java, as you said in your webpage (yes, I read it), it's much more efficient.

Yes, it's quite ironic that I'm writing this, but you gotta trust me, I know MCreator is not the way to make a mod.

I'm not angry nor nothing alike, I'm just giving you my point of view... really, don't misunderstand it. :/

    1. Mods can change game mechanics. A lot. Just look at iChun and survival overhaul mods.
    2. The game as it stands needs more mobs. Especially ambiance/sea/boss mobs. The statement that it lacks creativity is borderline insulting to the entire community. We all want more mobs, and it's almost calling shulkers, guardians, withers, and blazes uncreative.
    3. Blocks are blocks. They are neither uncreative nor creative. As long as they are well balanced, new blocks can only help because they are building materials and minecraft is a game about building.
    4. You are saying new mechanics only? This whole thread is full of people who hate change and would be willing to rage over any new mechanic. Perhaps reworking old mechanics before adding new ones would be optimal. Although I also agree a few new ones would still be nice as well every once in a while.

I'm gona be honest: I'm tired of this, aren't you?
I'm not gonna answer this time, I do have arguments, but it's pointless to debate about opinions, don't you think so?
I wrote what I don't like about 1.9, my job here is done, thanks for the arguing, anyway, I really liked it.

This is probably the worst MCreator thread that i have seen in a looong time.

Please read this page that I made that is explaining the issue! http://lapissea.byethost8.com/WhyYouShouldn'tUseMCreator/

Yes, I know, MCreator is very limited and so, but, I just needed one block! I'm not going to learn how to mod for just designing a single block. :c I do will learn, eventually, but not this time!

    Thanks for answering!

    -_-
You know, mods aren't the answer to everything. Just because there are mods out there for it, doesn't mean it shouldn't be in vanilla. You'd be suprised how few people are willing to install a mod to play a nice map. Or even a resource pack. I would know, as a modpacker who makes modded maps.

I didn't say it mods are the answer to everything, ._. I meant that adding new mods and blocks is not a good idea, there're already a lot of mobs and blocks out there.
And adding more mobs and blocks is lacking of creativity.
New game mechanics is what they are looking for, because for more blocks and mobs, you can mod your MC.

Yeah, more blocks and mobs would always be nice. At least we got purpur and the 2 new command blocks for mapmakers. And shulkers.

If you want more blocks and mobs, just install a mod. ._.

My analogy was a general analogy, so I didn't go all out to make sure it's 100% accurate. And by a physics professor I mean a generic physics professor, whether that be a professor studying and specialising in astronomical physics, quantum physics, or anything really. Again, just a general analogy.

Well, yeah that is more correct, but again my response was directed at saying that modders should know how to use a mod generator.

Ok ok, I see, but again, I'm not asking how to use it, I'm asking another sort of thing.

I wouldn't say it is a nerf. I am pretty sure that you can go a bit faster than sprinting in boats, but with no increased hunger loss.

It may not be a nerf, but it's tottaly unnecesary. >:c

NullPointerException is not only caused by version conflicts. NullPointerException is caused whenever a piece of code is referencing a null value, a variable that is null, empty. ArrayIndexOutOfBounds can be caused whenever code tries to access an element at an index outside of the array's bounds, if you have an array that has 4 reserved spots, 4 "holes", and try to access something in the 7th or -3rd hole, it doesn't exist, so it throws an exception.

It is possible to compile source files (.java files) using MCP, there should be some tutorials around the place, just have to drop the source MCreator gave you into the src directory of MCP and recompile and reobfuscate your mod using the scripts.

And before I was addressing the comment saying that it's a mod generator so the forums should know how to use it. Doing so would be the equivalent of walking into a physics lecture hall and asking the professor how to simulate radial velocity within a random simulator you downloaded on the internet.

Thanks, I'm gonna make a little of research...
And no, what I'm doing is the equivalente of walking into a physics lecture hall and asking the professor how to calculate pressure because I saw it could be calculated with a random simulator I downloaded on the internet, but it doesn't work.

By the "we" I'm referring to the other regular members; grimallq, Lapis, and basically every other person who scours to find threads to help people on.

And let me ask you something. Do you think you could answer why some random code generated by MCreator gives a NullPointerException, or an ArrayIndexOutOfBounds exception?

When a mod gives "NullPointerException" is because it's not for the version of Minecraft you're using.
No idea of the ArrayIndexOutOfBounds exception, but no matter...
I'm not asking anything TOO specific of MCreator (like, how to import a texture for a mob), I'm just asking if it's possile to compile a mod manually with nothing more than the raw java file that MCreator generates.

Because they are strongholds, mineshafts and dungeons, not houses.

We don't know who made it. But we can infer they were at war with the endermen. Shulkers are end mobs, but take no water damage. Meaning endermen did not create them. #storybehindminecraft

My bad, the question is "Where do they come from?", not "What/Who made them?". That shulker part plz. XD
    Quote from AMPPL50»

The same could be said of dungeons, strongholds, abandoned mineshafts...Just make up your own headcanon, as the game has no plot. It's just there.

    Villagers.
