posted a message on Minecraft Loading screen Upside Down and GUI invisible

Ok so the strangest thing happened to me. When I launched MC for the first time on 1.16.2 it loaded after a while and opened up, I was brought to the main menu except it was upside down and the gui was invisible so the main menu and buttons like singleplayer and multiplayer were not visible. Also I couldn't change the version of MC, even in installations, it was just Lastest release 1.16.2 and nothing else, even in the drop down menu.

Help, if possible (which I doubt), would be nice

posted a message on Minecraft Installation stuck at "Downloading Update Files"

I have 27 ping, 27 download, and 13 upload mbps which is strange since it felt like it took a minute to download a 3mb exe file.

Google said i have 0.5 mbps and 16 upload mbps which seems more accurate.

posted a message on Minecraft Installation stuck at "Downloading Update Files"

Hi, so I wanted to download MC on my windows 10 pc but whenever i start downloading it it gets to Minecraft Updater and then gets stuck at "Downloading Update Files" for 30 minutes without any progress. It might be because my wifi is very very slow and its just taking forever but the green bar doesnt move at all. Sometimes it says unable to update Minecraft Java Runtime or something to that extent. I tried downloading the alternative exe download and the msi download, both of them got stuck there. Maybe I am downloading it but it just doesn't show and will eventually just spike and it will download. Anyways, help would be appreciated.

posted a message on Minecraft not working on VMware

Hi, so my friend wanted to play on this server called 2b2t (I'm sure you guys will be familiar with it), but the whole premise of it is survival with no rules. I'm not a big fan of these types of servers but its the only game we can play together so I would feel bad if we didn't play. So basically you need a hacked client on this server to even compete against other players since 99% of the people on that server have some sort of hacked client. So I wanted to get a hacked client called Impact but its a hacked client for Minecraft so it seems a bit shady. So instead of running it on the host machine I decided to set up a VM using Vmware that was running Ubuntu.

I got Minecraft, the latest version of JRE for Linux x64, and Optifine for 1.12.2 since that is the server version. Whenever I try to run MC on 1.12.2 regardless if it has Optifine or not, the green bar at the bottom loads for 1 second and then the launcher disappears without finishing loading the green bar and then it opens up the launcher again saying "an unexpected error has caused the game to crash." I tried to see the crash report by going in .minecraft directory, but no reports come up so I'm assuming its a problem with JVM.

However, when I launch the game on 1.16.2, I successfully open up the game but it gets 3 fps at most on the lowest graphics which is weird because the host machine gets 80 fps at the minimum on the highest graphics, even without Optifine. In addition, the VM seems to be running fine, nothing seems to crash. I will tell you the specs of the vm

    4gb RAM

64 gb storage (I only downloaded an antivirus, mc, java, and optifine. I downloaded MC before any other application and I still had these problems so it's not any of the applications)

    768mb Graphics memory

I gave it 2 out of 4 of my intel core i5-6400t cpu 2.2ghz

My GPU is Intel HD graphics 530 on the host machine (idk if this comes into play)

I did not tamper with any linux features as i am new to linux and i dont want to mess with anything (the only reason i used it is because it is free.)

Also, it probably would've been smarter use VirtualBox instead of VMware but I'm not too sure if it matters. If it does, then please tell me, but I don't want to go through the hassle of making a new VM or tampering with VMware settings or whatever if it doesn't matter.

Anyways, help would be appreciated :)
