i started with the default drivers the i downloaded the latest ones i have both 32 and 64bit java i think i have adobe flash player i if thats the one needed for youtube but i dont know what shockwave is
Ok i have installed both and the cpu clock speed is 3910 MHz and the GPU Temp:33c usage: between 0-80% fluctuating Core clock: 300MHz how do i check the load percentage on the GPU
according to windows task manager (CPU history) the load is mostly spread between the 1st and 3rd cores with very little on the 2nd and 4th
??? sorry i am a noob at this i have no idea what you are talking about please explain.
Edit i'm guessing they are programs that let me check clock speeds and load pertanges
although it works graight my fps when playing minecraft (FTB) is a lot lower then i expected so i was gust wondering if there might be something i messed up or was unaware of when i got it all set up as this was my very first build.
The fps is between 15-20 no mater what i do and the cpu never exceeds 60% i am almost 100% shore its not the hardware as i can even open a second instance of minecraft and they both stay between 15-20 fps.
every now and then when i start my computer (only happend twice sofare) i get this message "Secondary Master Drive - ATAPI Incompatible" any idea what this means ? could it have any conection to the low FPS ?
my internet is curently to slow to upload them but i am working on getting a new plan so i will upload them as soon as i can
Edit: dosent anyone have some idea what might be cousing the low FPS? my system seems to be under very little load the cpu never goes past 60% maby there might be something else limiting the FPS?
i just updated my drivers but it didn't help the FPS i just loaded one of my slightly more developed FTB modpack worlds and the FPS is between 20-25 on normal render distance i was hoping it would be a bit better than that.
the default max ram is 1Gb and there are plenty of times where that is not enough especially when running the ftb mod pack but that's not the point if i have 8GB installed i should be able to use more then 1.4GB
Edit: after many failed attempt's i just managed to get java 64bit installed and that fixed the problem i was having with multiMC and it terns out the problem i was having with the ftb mod pack was due to a problem with the world so that's fixed to but i am still concerned about the fps i'm only getting between 60-70 on the ftb modpack (even on a new world) vsync is not on and between 100-190 fps on vanilla.
oops that was when the game was paused while playing it fluctuates between 80 and 100 the lagmeter is flat lined as if i were in a void world so there is no lag but i just want to know why the game closes whenever i increase the render distance.
another thing i am happy about is the cpu never goes much past 40% on my old pc it never went below 90%
Edit: the fps isn't much better on vanilla (with optifine) except that i can turn the render distance right up to extreme and the game dose NOT close but i know it isn't a problem with the mod pack because i copied it straight from my old PC on which it worked fine.
Edit: i just discovered something while playing with my multiMC settings if i allocate more then 1.4GB of ram
i get a "could not create the java virtual machine" message dose this indicate a problem with my java or my ram?
Of course that goes for everyone that helped out but you were the biggest help.
I just got my minecraft transferred over and the performance is insane i have gone from 15 to over 170 Fps (on tiny render distance)
but i do have one problem that i wanted to ask you about i'm thinking i just need to update my drivers (i'm using the out of the box drivers because of my slow internet connection) or maby because i haven't installed 64bit java yet again because of my internet.
the problem is when i increase my render distance or use a 64x texture pack the world seems to stop loading and the game closes i'm using the ftb DW20 mod pack with optifine any ideas anyone?
Ok i will do that as soon as i can but i will need to waight untill ether my internet refills or i get my new plan setup (which ever comes first) becaus my internet is just to slow at the moment.
But once again thankyou mainly to BKrenz for all of your help i dont think i could of done it without you.
My first post from my new PC I just finished installing windows and all of the drivers and of corse my anivirus softwear now i think i should tidy up inside the case a little its a bit of a mess.
