    posted a message on Mod Entity Problem - Updated with Forge
    Hey guys,
    I saw this post and realized that this has been my problem all along. My mod was at a standstill. Thanks! Btw, I tried using this method for the entity register and spawn:

    [/spoiler]
    public void load()
    {
    ModLoader.registerEntityID(EntityCustomCow.class, "CustomCow", -127);
    ModLoader.addSpawn(EntityCustomCow.class, 15, 3, 10, EnumCreatureType.creature);
    }
    [spoiler/] too bad spoilers don't work

    Apparently, Id -127 is not taken, so if you're planning on only adding only one mob to the game, use that number. I'm not sure if this fix is very reliable, but it kept me from recoding everything and it works (I know because I tested it in-game). Hopefully there will be an eventual fix, but for now I'm gonna use -127.
    Thanks for the help

    posted a message on [Creating Mods] Mob Making & Modelling [08/04/2011]
    Hi,
    I'm having a problem with Techne. I've made my model, but when I try to export as: java, it says that the exporter 'threw an exception' and asks if I want to send a crash report. I've looked all around the wiki, and at the 'bugs' section, which talks about an exporter problem, but I'm confused-my problem is with Techne, not MCP. What should I do?
    Thanks.

    Same here. I've been trying to start modding, but all the tutorial examples don't work anymore. What should I do?

    Hey Mo'Creatures,
    You guys probably dont read these that often, but I think since you guys have birds already, you should try making nests. They would act similar to kitty beds, where a bird will stay by a certain tree all the time after a certain amount of time and then a nest would appear. The bird would stay with its nest and the nest would be filled (kind of like how a cat bed has food in it) with a few eggs. After some more time, the eggs would 'hatch' and baby birds would be found all around the nest. The mother bird would then fly away (or stay near the hatchlings, your choice). If you break a nest with eggs in it, it could have a chance of dropping a bird egg, and they could act much like chicken eggs (a random chance of a baby bird appearing when thrown, can be placed in dispensers, etc.). Also, I saw that you guys are going to add snakes, which could be similar, and they could make snake holes (very small underground caves) for their 'nests', and lay eggs like the birds (because they do, kinda). Thanks for reading this if you do and hope you think about it and maybe give me some credit. Also, thanks alot for your contributions to yogbox, I have it and I love it!!! If anyone else likes this reply, VOTE IT UP! This will never be read if you guys don't think it should be! Anyway, peace!
