I'm just kind of on the edge, finding out exactly who Ordelia is (sounds like it's derived from ordeal... nice) and how/why she 'cursed the land'.
**If you write past tense (easiest and smoothest), keep it past tense. If you write present tense, keep it present tense.
(Present tense = 'has' instead of 'had' and 'is' instead of 'was'.)
(Past tense = ... the opposite. XD)

i'm not good with past tence but i'll fix it and i have to rewrite all three chapters i did earlier becuz they didn't go with the prologue i made up on the spot and they were stupid
