It works fine with 1.7.10 though lol

Really? I guess i'll have to download a copy of MC 1.7.10 Forge and test it out on my free time.

    EDIT: Update released!

    1.3.0:
    - Fixed a problem where Normal Human Knights do not play the sword swing animation.
    - All human mobs that attack now look directly at their target.
    - Normal Human mobs that attack will now attack the Ender Dragon.
    - Made Ruby Ores much rarer to find. (Levels: 50 to 75 instead of 25 to 50).
    - Human Mobs will now drop EXP Orbs depending on their type (Normal = 2 EXP Orbs, Evil = 3 EXP Orbs).
    - Added 18 new names to all Human Mobs.
    - All Human Knights now deal different damage rates depending on their sword.
    - You can now "upgrade" your bow to a Ruby Bow by putting both a Bow and a Ruby in a crafting table.
    - Added the Rapid Fire Bows. There is a Rapid-Fire Bow for both versions of the Bow and you can ether "upgrade" your respective bow by putting your respective bow and a Diamond into a crafting table, or just craft a normal Bow/Ruby Bow with a diamond in the middle.
    - Added the Giant (Boss). This new version of the Giant is considered a "boss" mob, and it is much smarter than its vanilla counterpart. It also has 50% more heath than its vanilla counterpart.
    - All Human Mobs now get extra health depending on the type of armor they are wearing.
    - Added the Golden Medkit. This Medkit upgrade gives 5 hearts when used instead of 3.5 hearts. You can craft this like a normal Medkit (Gold Ingots instead of Iron Ingots), or you can "upgrade" your Medkits by putting a Medkit and a Gold Ingot in a crafting table.
    - This mod now supports the World Generation Manager mod!

This Is Awesome Cant Wait Until It Updates To MC 1.7.10!

As of right now, there are no plans to update this mod to 1.7.10. This mod WAS going to be made with 1.7.10, but there was some major issues, so I built the mod using 1.7.2. I hope to port the mod to 1.7.10 one day, but as of right now, use 1.7.2 for it.

Anyways, expect an update to come out soon. :)

For those who are wondering about the mod's development, there are some things planned, but you guys have to wait until next weekend for a new mod update.

hmm.... i see that black steve steve and rana are beng added DO NOT MAKE THEM HAVE A WALKING ANIMATION! IN OLD MC THEY HAD NONE DO NOT MAKE THEM HAVE A ANIMATION PLEASE!

also stone armor and ruby armor prehaps?

When I add those mobs they will not have walking animations. That was the plan from the start.
Also, I might add ruby and stone armor. (Fun fact: the ruby stuff is not assigned to one material, In fact all the items were coded by themselves)
    Quote from Cheeyev

Also, have you thought about adding more Mob heads in the mod?

    I might plan on that.

I'm going to do a mod showcase of this most definitely!

Thanks! Be sure to post that in the topic and I'll put it in the main post.

This mod seems pretty awesome! Would you mind adding some Rope Bridges into the mod? I always wanted Rope Bridges in Minecraft after I saw the Zipline Mod. (Unfortunately, that mod is stuck in a perpetual state for only Minecraft Beta 1.7.3.)

I'll consider that, but I don't know If I have the coding skills to put it in.

    Anyways,

I recently released a new version of the mod. This version does not add any new items, blocks or mobs, but it adds some new features! Hopefully this does not contains some mod-breaking bugs like 1.1.0 did :P

    1.2.0:
    - Medkits will now only work if the player has less than his/her max health (20).
    - Fixed a bug where Medkits heal more than 3.5 hearts.
    - Ruby Bows will now detect the player's total max health (this means that you can now increase/decrease your max health and the bow will still fire infinite arrows as long as you have max health).
    - The Ruby Pickaxe will now deal +5 attack damage to mobs like the Diamond Pickaxe.
    - Human mobs will now pick their own unique names on spawn. You can rename them if you want.
    - Everything in the mod will now load when the mod loads, instead of before it loads.
    - Normal Human Archers and Knights will now follow the player if the player is holding a Sword or a Bow.
    - Added the Stone Sword to the Human Knights (Normal and Evil).
    - Human mobs no longer spawn with Chainmail Armor.

    1.1.0:
    - Added 5 new mobs:
Human - It wanders around the world and randomly spawns with armor. This mob has a very rare chance of dropping the current armor it is wearing.
Human Archer - Attacks mobs and slimes with a bow. Spawns with either a Bow or a Ruby Bow, and it randomly spawns with armor. This mob drops the current bow it is holding. This mob has a very rare chance of dropping the current armor it is wearing.
Human Knight - Attacks mobs and slimes with a sword. Spawns with any of the swords (including the Ruby sword), and it randomly spawns with armor. This mob drops the current sword it is holding.
Human Archer (Evil) - Like the Human Archer, but it targets the player, other human mobs, and villagers instead of mobs and slimes.

    - Fixed a bug where the Ruby Sword's damage would be the fist's damage.

    - Both the Primed TNT Spawner and the Ender Crystal Spawner will now work like Spawn Eggs in Dispensers.
    - Added a new item: Medkit: Almost out of health and you don't have anything that can heal you? Try our new Medkit! This handy Medkit will heal 3.5 hearts so you can finally beat up that Zombie trying to bring you down! Make sure you have plenty!

    UPDATE:

Sorry for bumping this after a few months, but here's a little update.

I have been working on a big project, so I have not gotten to work on Sandbox Mod II in a while. However, I have plans on adding some more stuff to the mod.

Sorry for the inconvenience and an update might be released soon.

Hi, I am Bitl, and welcome to the official thread of SANDBOX MOD II! For those who have played older versions of Minecraft, you might remember my older mods, such as the Gravity Hammer Mod, the Human Mod, the Hard Wooden Planks mod, the Mob Tools addon for the Custom Stuff mod, and of course, the Sandbox Mod. One of the main points of this mod is the fact that anyone can post suggestions for new features to be added to the mod. As of right now, mobs from Sandbox Mod 1 are not currently added into the mod, but they will be added in later updates. Here are all the current features you can expect out of the mod:

    ITEMS:

    Ruby:

Rubies were the predecessor to the Emerald, but were not added due to many reasons, but one was that the ores would be confused with Redstone Ores, making them confusing.
    Crafting:

    Smelting:

    Ruby Sword:

The Ruby Sword is a sword with lots of power thanks to the Rubies that made it. In fact, it has a "merging power" allowing up to 5 swords to be stacked. It emulates the Diamond Sword's damage very well, but it lacks in durability.
    Stats:

    Crafting:

    Ruby Pickaxe:

The Ruby Pickaxe, like the Ruby Sword, gets its power from the rubies it is made out of. Like the Ruby Sword, up to 5 pickaxes can be stacked at once. It emulates the speed of the Diamond Pickaxe, but it is weaker.
    Stats:

    Crafting:

    Ruby Bow:

The Ruby bow is the most powerful bow man (or Steve) has created. Thanks to the power of the Rubies, this bow is unbreakable, its arrows do double the damage, it zooms in faster than the normal bow, and it fires infinite arrows (even if you don't have arrows in your backpack) as long as you have full health. Like the normal bow, you can use normal arrows, which is a plus.
    Stats:

    Crafting:

    Iron Apple:

The Iron Apple was made for the people who don't have that many gold in their pockets. It is slightly weaker than the Enchanted Golden Apple, however it provides Strength for 1 minute and 40 seconds.
    Stats:

    Crafting:

    Diamond Apple:

The Diamond Apple is for those people that want more power with their apples. Despite it being made with a inedible material, it provides longer effects compared to the Enchanted Golden Apple, and it provides Speed for 2 minutes and 30 seconds.
    Stats:

    Crafting:

    Ender Crystal Spawner:

This item is a Creative Mode-only item and it allows you to spawn Ender Crystals. If you use this with the Ender Dragon Spawn Egg, you can create an intense boss battle like in the End! This item can be used in Dispensers.

    Primed TNT Spawner:

This item is a Creative Mode-only item and it allows you to spawn Primed TNT. This item is useful for traps or just wanting to blow stuff up faster than normal TNT. This item can be used in Dispensers.

    Medkit:

Almost out of health and you don't have anything that can heal you? Try our new Medkit! This handy Medkit will heal 3.5 hearts so you can finally beat up that Zombie trying to bring you down! Make sure you have plenty!
    Stats:

    Crafting:

    Rapid-Fire Bow:

The bow from Minecraft Beta 1.6.6 and under, now in your modern Minecraft.
    Stats:

    Crafting:

    Rapid-Fire Ruby Bow:

Like the OTHER Rapid-Fire Bow, but with the stats of the Ruby Bow.
    Stats:

    Crafting:

    Golden Medkit:

Do you want more out of your Medkit? Upgrade to the Golden Medkit today! The Golden Medkit gives you 5 hearts instead of a normal Medkit's 3.5 hearts.
    Stats:

    Crafting:

    BLOCKS:

    Ruby Block:

If you want to show off your Rubies in a stylish way, or you just want to control your Ruby mining habits, this is for you! This block can be used for storing 9 rubies at once.
    Fun Fact:
The Ruby Block's texture is a redesigned version of it's older texture which you can see here in this comparison:

    Crafting:

    Ruby Ore:

This is an ore that you can get Rubies from. You can find this (possibly) between layers 25 and 50.
    Fun Fact:
The Ruby Ore used to drop Rubies. However due to some complications, it now can be smelted into Rubies instead.
    Smelting:

    Old Wooden Planks:

This block is an older version of the Wooden planks from Minecraft version Pre 0.0.9a (rd-161348). That is all you need to know.
    Fun Fact:
Bitl's "Hard Wooden Planks" uses the same texture on this block!
    Crafting:

    Crying Obsidian:

The Crying Obsidian was going to be a way for the player to set their spawn location, however this was scrapped after beds were released.
    Crafting:

    SPAWN EGGS:

    Giant Spawn Egg:

    Ender Dragon Spawn Egg:

    Wither Spawn Egg:

    Iron Golem Spawn Egg:

    Snow Golem Spawn Egg:

    MOBS:

    Human:

It wanders around the world and randomly spawns with armor. This mob has a very rare chance of dropping the current armor it is wearing. This mob spawns with a random name.

    Human Archer:

Attacks mobs and slimes with a bow. Spawns with either a Bow or a Ruby Bow, and it randomly spawns with armor. This mob drops the current bow it is holding. This mob has a very rare chance of dropping the current armor it is wearing. This mob spawns with a random name.

    Human Knight:

Attacks mobs and slimes with a sword. Spawns with any of the swords (including the Ruby sword), and it randomly spawns with armor. This mob drops the current sword it is holding. This mob spawns with a random name. Depending on the type of sword, it will deal 2/6 hearts of damage.
    Fun Fact:
The Human Knight used to be called the "Human Swordsman" in the Human mod and Sandbox Mod 1.

    Human Archer (Evil):

Like the Human Archer, but it targets the player, other human mobs, and villagers instead of mobs and slimes.

    Human Knight (Evil):

Like the Human Knight, but it targets the player, other human mobs, and villagers instead of mobs and slimes.

    Giant (Boss):

Like a normal Giant it is a towering beast from the undead, but it is much smarter and stronger than normal Giants.

You are doing it completely backwards - DO NOT create a 'new FOVUpdateEvent' - that's not how it works. The event and your right click have nothing to do with each other, except for the fact that on right click, you should set your item in use so you can get it during the fov event.

Please re-read the tutorial, carefully, until you understand how events work.

Then look at EntityPlayerSP, NOT as a class to use for anything, but merely to see the calculations that the vanilla bow uses to determine the current FOV - that's what you will want to base your own calculations off of. Again, you do not use EntityPlayerSP for anything. It is only a reference point.

Finally, you can check for open source mods that have items which change FOV (like my Zelda mod, for example), and see how it's done there, which is the same way that EntityPlayerSP does it but changing the FOV during the FOVUpdateEvent.

I looked at your Zelda mod and used a bit of it's code in my event handler, and the FOV works now! I am sorry If I made you mad in anyway, it's just a long time since I was coding minecraft mods and i'm trying to get used to things again.

That's what spoiler tags are for... (making long posts shorter).

Why do you have @SubscribeEvent above your onItemRightClick method? That makes no sense, nor does posting FOVUpdateEvent from your right click - it gets posted automatically and you 'listen' for it, then do stuff when it happens.

Check my profile for my Forge Events tutorial.

I used your tutorial to know how to use events in the first place. :/

Anyways, I think I found the problem.

    FOVUpdateEvent event = new FOVUpdateEvent((EntityPlayerSP) par3EntityPlayer, 0.5F);

    java.lang.ClassCastException: net.minecraft.entity.player.EntityPlayerMP cannot be cast to net.minecraft.client.entity.EntityPlayerSP

Pretty much I cant cast EntityPlayer with EntityPlayerSP. Is there an alternative way to do this, or do I have to modify the method?
