Oh wau! 5:1? It looks rather .. huge to be "only" 5:1 scale?
Not an complaint, and I must confess that I have no idea about the size of Millennium Falcon.. :P

When I initiallly decided I wanted to make this project, I looked up some technical information in regards to length and width, which conviently was given to me in meters. With minecraft blocks being the equivalent of a meter cubed, I simply went from there. The actual Millenium Falcon is 34 meters by 25 meters. If I remember correclty this one is ~212 by ~157 or somewhere in there for that matter.

I really want to build this in my single player world but the download says archive download blocked. Is there anyway you could re-upload it or somehow have a direct download? It looks awesome by the way :D

That's amazing! Do you have any screenshots of the interior by chance? Or are you not bothering with that part. :P

Trent, Ill have to try and dig deep to see if I can find that file. It's been so long since I've even thought about this project haha. Craftpowered, I didnt both with that part once I realized that making the interior to scale would have been near impossible. Minecraft blocks are just way too large to make a quality interior of the detail I had initially wanted.

    Epic Build!!!!!:Notch:

This is so detailed and amazing!
must have taken a long time though.

Sweet mantits. This build is amazing! I also love the Legend of Zelda pixel art in the background.

Thank you :) I honestly can't believe that you guys found this after it had been buried deep within the screenshot forums for a long time. I should probably give an update on it considering its been a long time since I've even checked this post. The server that I was hosting my work has been shut down unfortunately. However, the vette is still very much alive because the owner gave me a copy of the server file. Currently the build is on a hiatus since being a pre-med student in college consumes a tremendous amount of time. The plan is for me to resume working on it this summer since I'll have a considerable amount of extra time on my hands to work with it. Additionally, Starsword, at the time that this project was last updated, I was just beginning month 7 of progress on it. It certainly has taken a lot of time to get where it is at, and will take much more time to finish all that I want to do to it. That includes finishing the front half, detailing the whole outside, and also a full interior that will be as close to the original as possible. Again, thank you for reminding me that this project is just as amazing as it was nearly half a year ago!!

on quick glance i noticed that you didnt keep a center line in the ship. the hull comes to a one block point, but just a little bit down further, the center is defined by 2 blocks. when making larger builds, it sometimes helps to have a straight line below to know where the axis of symmetry lies

I don't believe your FPSs. I get about 5 on a good day, with optifine MT a good 12 or so. My computer isn't crappy either, and this is with all settings as lagless as possible. I don't believe this.

You obviously do not know a thing about computers then. Yours sounds like its better off being a dinner plate.

Now everyone here needs to be smart about their frames and utilize vsync for smoothness

There's not much point in posting the thread now-- it'll sink into obscurity so when you upload the pictures, nobody will see them.

Then you probably should have just waited to post this topic. Doing it this way only will ruin the possible fan base because they see you are one of the people who post a topic without pictures, and because of that they don't bother to check again.

umm, you are very new to minecraft and the mcforum aren't you? I would take the time and build something that has the possibility of being critiqued. We are always happy to give people pointers on how to make their builds better.

You're same as me then! :D I'm not too good at designing stuff, but I am an illustrator - I can make good illustrations of existing things :P

Exactly! If there are pictures that i can reference, i can make it. Granted i need to be able to find a lot of pictures from different views to make something like this happen, most often times replicas have bilateral symmetry that i can use to my advantage if i can find pictures from every possible angle :D

This is really stunning, have you thought about designing your own spaceships? You seem to have more experience than anyone I have ever seen. Great work!

Believe it or not, i have actually tried that before. However, that venture was not successful at all. I have found i can replicate anything through a barrage of pictures, then develop something from my mind. I know it sounds contradictory with how amazing my previous and the corellian corvette look, but we all have our limitations some where. This build is going to be the foreground of something i have never attempted before though. Im going to build a full interior, to scale, and to as close to the original floor plan as physically possible with minecraft limitations taken into mind.

As a huge Star Wars fan, always great to see your builds!

Thank you for being a fan! Its nice to see that people still look for what i am building :D

I was going to say that it's too big.. And then I realized it's 5:1, not 1:5.. :D
Nevertheless, it looks amazing and we want M0AR! :)

Believe me, you will get much more, and for the first time ever with any of my Star Wars model builds, im putting a full interior in this beast

Hello Minecraft forum, THIS IS NOT A HOAX as some of you may have thought, but i am back once again and this time with a build that is currently a work in progress. Some of you may remember me for my Millennium Falcon that won the SWTOR contest back in January. However, back in December, i began my largest project to date, a 5:1 Scale model replica of the Tantive IV from Star Wars Episode 4. Ill let my intermittent progress pics i have thus far speak for the work that has already been accomplished. This build has also been on and off work due to the immense amount of school work I have had this year, but I'd say I have a lot done. Please leave feedback, as for it is greatly appreciated :) I would like to apologize for the pictures not being of the best angles, i just took them as i remembered to along the way. When i do finally complete the build (around July or August) ill take full pics and produce a video for everyone so that all of the hard work i have put into this build can be seen.

I had to move it up with the new height increase, so here is a pic of when that occured. It was a very difficult move.

I began some hard work on detail following the move upward of 40 blocks :D

And then I began moving forward from the engine section

This is how she currently sits, with 710000 blocks

posted a message on The Death Star
personally, as a star wars fan, the idea of doing the death star is cool, but as a massive scale minecrafter who recreates star wars builds, there is little point to doing the death star. i say this because a lot of it is made from one command, making it an extremely easy build to accomplish, and second, making an interior is pretty impossible to accomplish due to how little room there is on the inside. this is just my opinion, and dont want you to stop making the build. However, i do look forward to seeing what you do with this project
