    posted a message on Chest/Chunk Time Capsule

    i know this is a stretch, but i was wondering if it were possible for someone to make a sort of time capsule type chest or chunk that allows you to, rather than waiting until your favorite mod gets updated- if it does at all, update the newest version of Minecraft without permanently losing any items that are mod specific.


    i don't mean having the ability to still actively have the modded item, but to be able to get the content back if the mod does get updated.


    i will use HarvestCraft as an example because i am familiar with it

    Let's say i have a big garden/farm going on, made up primarily of HarvestCraft items. i am also stocked up on potato salad. Both the garden and stockpile of potato salad are precious to me, so much so that i am willing to wait on updating my Minecraft.


    I am wondering; however if it were possible to put this potato salad in a chest and this garden in a chunk that remembers i have these items, despite no longer using the mod. And when the mod is updated, and i reinstall, i can go get my stuff back.

    I keep a copy of my world so that i can enter it in Creative and test large projects/designs/endeavors before wasting days of my time on something that does not work. I have never actually done any real village manipulation before, but came across an overlapping village and decided to enter my world in creative to see what the librarians had to offer. Between the three librarians in the village, there was a Frost Walker, Mending, and Silk Touch book.

    i was rather peeved when i maxed out the librarians in my real world, and got none of the above at all. So i figured it could be one of two things, or both: 1. the next tier is random rather than all being predetermined upon spawn and/or 2. i should trade like i do in creative; that is, not restricting myself to the cheapest/easiest trades. Since i am in creative, it is easier to just stay with the librarian and cheat all the items i need in my inventory rather than running around collecting paper/emeralds and sticking to paper/glass/bookshelf trades.


    i googled this and found no info- which makes me think that it is possibility number 1, and not 2.


    in the mean time i have been trading (as i normally do; cheap trades) while every now and then going Anakin Skywalker on the village so that more spawn. i have gone through about 4 or 5 Librarians now; all with fairly lame trades and before i continue to waste my time, i just want some clarification:


    1. Are all the tiers predetermined upon spawn, or is it random as they unlock?

    2. Is only trading cheap material the wrong way to unlock the better trades?

    After watching the first video of OOGE playing Spellbound Caves (by Vechs) video one Etho's YouTube channel, i realized that i want to play a map that is, essentially, a very large room, somewhat open ceiling, with waves of baddies at regular intervals (every night) and you are unable to break any blocks, but can create structures/generate blocks with the materials given/earned. i guess like a simpler Dungeon Defenders. To me, it sounds awesome and so i searched the internet for a map because surely someone else thought this was a good idea and made this map.


    i looked for such a map and i could not find one that looked like what i was looking for. i don't mind downgrading to 1.9.2 if need be. So if anyone can recommend something, that would be cool. i'd like to think i could make such a map if i wasn't so preoccupied with school and lazy. Perhaps i will... but i probably won't.


    and in case anyone is curious about the video: it is an older video, but i enjoyed OOGE.

    hey can someone tell me how to get the buttons (other than the one that says options) to show up in my existing world? It shows up fine in my creative world. I am sure it is because when i created this world i didn't enable cheats. Forever Enough Items requires you to /feiop to get those buttons to work (so i have gone back to Forever Enough Items for now)


    How do i enable full control?


    also i tried starting it as LAN and enabling cheats that way and it didnt work.


    Edit: Never mind, i got it to work somehow. i think i manually switched to creative and then set the options or something.

    Does ChickenChunks for 1.10.2 work with Single Player. When /chunkloaders command doesn't crash the game, it doesn't show any loaded chunk. Not even my spawn.

    Similar to what Balkon's WeaponMod use to be. i have been trying to look for a mod that adds a variety of weapons, without adding too many ores and other things. And if there is already a mod like this... feel free to reply.


    Also, i'm forever in search for a new Useful Pets mod and a Custom Recipes mod
