With the addition of the new stone types in 1.8, I wondered why they stayed in their naturally generated state when mined.
So I have a suggestion: Add in Cobbled, Smooth, Brick, and Mossy versions of the new stones.
Smooth Stones
Same as the usual. nothing different here. They are the naturally generated versions.
Cobbled Stones
These have the exact same cracked pattern as Cobblestone, and the new stones will drop this when mined. Can be smelted to their Smooth versions, can be used for Mossy Cobble Stones, etc.
Bricks
The exact same recipe as the original Stone, but the new stones use Polishedstone instead of Smooth. Can be used in the same way as the old Stone Bricks.
Mossy
With the addition of Mossy Cobblestone and Mossy Stone Brick's recipe, why not have it be consistent? Simply add Vines to the Cobble or Brick version of the Stones.
My suggestion is rather simple, as I think it was accidentally overlooked in the making of 1.8. Hate, comments, criticism, love, and everything else is accepted in the replies
I think that burning is not the word you're looking for. Burning means consuming the fuel. How about "Smoldering Coal Block?"
The OP doesn't mean that. You light the coal block on fire, then after 5/8/whatever minutes, it disappears.
Combined with a BUD (block update detector), you could make a timer using burning coal blocks, as they would have a consistent burn time.

Especially useful if you play with a lot of mods and have to keep moving chests, all sorts of modded miscellaneous junk, etc.

Support.

If you can, then support.
But I support it anyway.

I'm more used to just putting the .jar in the mods folder and letting Forge do the rest.

Or, you know, actually have the link there instead of tiny.cc.

I'm using the CoinUrl link, which redirects to http://tiny.cc/control-pack-1-7-10
Perhaps a direct mirror would help?

If it is, I'll send a message to Direwolf20 about this once it releases.
Also, anything specifically planned? Like machines, pipes, tanks, etc.?

F1 to remove the hotbar/HUD, and F2 for screenshotting.

Essentially, what this person wants is to have ores put into the new, 1.8 stones, so that the ores with old stone look out of place in 1.8.

The best solution here is to just paste the url in without linking it, like this:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/nwv0xqrxx8s5oq3/Noah's Sillicraft [2.1].zip
Because it links back to the thread. Use a Mediafire of Mega mirror, if possible.

Send me the link, and I'll fix the link for you.
