Alright, here is one way to do it. I dug the trench so that I could keep the circuit close to others while preventing them from connecting. You could make it even smaller by building a bridge over the other redsstone instead of a trench, but this was a bit hard to take a picture of. The bridge route is the route I would take, though. You should be able to figure it out, bridge instead of trench, make sure the circuit only attaches at the ends(torch and piston). Also, you can but the switch on the other side of the wall, just run the redstone back to that location.

It's a bit hard to tell, but those torches are all on the side of a dirt block, not on the ground. If this is on a server I could just come build it for you. :iapprove:

At the risk of me sounding like an ass-hole. Is there a way I can do this without redstone being in front of the pistons? If not, then by all means, I humbly thank you for your assistance. But if it is possible I would greatly appreciate a picture.

Yes, you can route that circuit however you like. Again, you can modify this to fit a building as long as the basic idea and connections are the same. I made one with that circuit under a wall, but you could also bring it around the back side. Try either of those, it shouldn't be too difficult, just play around in an empty area in creative until you get it right. I'll see about a picture, though. I expect +rep for the trouble. :wink.gif:

I've got a solution that I just tested in minecraft, let me make a picture real quick.

Alright, made the pic. You can probably make it a little smaller my getting rid of those 3 redstone lines that are in a row separating the switching from the 2 main pistons. Of course, you can hide most of this and even build it on separate levels, it just needs the basic path and devices to be the same. You can also play with the timing to make it quicker. The slow relay on the left can be moved to 1 click and the slow relay on the right can be left at minimum delay and it will still work.

What it amounts to is that you need one circuit to control the pistons extending and one that is relayed in the opposite direction to control them retracting. The trick making it so that this could be controlled from one switch.

    WTF is mccheat?

    Swiss-knife of griefing.

Also, a helpful tool for those who follow rules.

    Quote from Stucuk »
Good. Less griefing. Noone needs to use an application that modifies Minecraft's memory locations. When it comes servers just use one of the community mods that allow admins to spawn stuff. When it comes to Singleplayer just use an inventory edit. There is no need for anyone to use Griefing tools.

No one needs to use this application? Who are you to decide for me or others? MCcheat is much better than an inventory editing program, but I shouldn't even use it in single player? please...

Such programs are mainly created with the intention to cause havoc.

Honestly, you have no idea what the creator's intentions were when they created MCcheat. What are the other "such programs", that MCcheat is so simular to?

    Quote from XiaoXiaoMan »

So what? You shouldn't even be cheating anyway, especially not SMP.

Says who? You? If it is allowed on a server, there is no problem. If you use it in single player, no problem.

    WOO ITS FIXED :biggrin.gif:

That should be "Dam now griefers can grief again". Think about the wider issues not just your ability to fly around.

That logic is just flawed. If something is useful, but may be abused by those who are less than considerate, that does not mean that it should be banned or avoided.

Don't mean to start anything, just sayin'. :Sheep:
