    Welcome back my people! I finished a course in java coding and hope to start modding again! so im going to try and pour as much into this mod as i can in the next two weeks (before i head off to vacation for a bit). If anyone wants to help PM me, I'll need some graphics designers as well as mob designers. Lets see how this all works out!

    So, how is the mod going? I also only played Sly as a Kid :D . I would be honored to make a video about the mod (or maybe even sneak peeks if you allow me too ^^) once you get an alpha out or something. I'll try to figure out how to use the modelling program to see if I can help too. And in terms of Ideas, I played the games Sly 1, 2, 3 and 4 (own the 3 discs for the ps2 and the hd remastered edition for the ps3), so if you need ideas fell free to ask ^^. I really want this mod to be awesome and I hope it will come true ^- ^

    I have been away and working on finals recently, but I am hoping to get going on the mod soon! Still mainly waiting for minecraft 1.8 before I start coding. Mainly going to work on modeling the different characters. If you'd like to help feel free to pm me! Thanks for the support!

    Update: I will not be working on any actual coding for this mod until 1.8 is fully released due to the massive overhaul in 1.7.x and am hoping for a more stable coding environment (that i like anyway). Until then i will work on textures and models!

    Update 1: Carmelita is looking pretty good so far I think! (being the not so good girl modeler)

    I will be fixing the edges

    This game was amazing as a child. So this idea is good and i love the fact that you're reviving this mod. You don't get how upset i was when he stopped working on it! :'(. But yeh. On the old page for it. There are some ideas (a few are mine) about how to improve or what to add to the mod. Obviously some ideas will be more difficult than others, and i can respect that. I would love to test this mod out when its given more features. Looking forward to the revival, man. Nice job!

    Awesome! This was literally all I played as a kid! Thanks for the tip! I'll check out the ideas!

    I have taken the liberties of attempting to revive this mod made by DarkForce2000.

    Here I will post "prereleases" and update information. I hope people are interested in this mod if I revive it! :D

    Thanks very much to the original author for letting me (attempt) to revive this mod. I loved this game as a child.

    -Add a carmelita fox mob that can see you from far away, fires exposlive rounds like in the game, is easily distracted by diguises or Thief Smoke Bombs, chases you, and yells at you. If she kills you she will confiscate all of your items and you can only get them back by killing her or pick-pocketing her
    -Add distinct biomes and dungeons specific too each boss (ie volcano for Clockwerk, casino for Muggshot
    -Add Minions for each biome (ie card throwing people for casino dungeon/biome)
    -Add Cane which can be used to parkour on blocks, pickpocket bosses and mobs (wear disguise to get past mobs and bosses)
    -Add Thief Dust which can be used for Thief Glass (transparent block that doesn't let light shine through. Good for observing bosses) or used in different bombs
    -Thief bombs: smoke, clock, etc. Distract minions with clocks and smoke. Distract bosses with smoke only
    -That is it for now.

    Currently working on making a model for Carmelita
    Creating Cane
    Creating Thief Dust
    Creating Thief Glass
    Creating biomes + custom blocks for each boss
    None :(

    Suggestions are welcome :D

    If you would like to assist me in making this mod that would be greatly appreciated.
    I would love to have a team of coders, texturers, modelers, and idea creators!

    OP: Link
    Permission:

    You're the 3rd person to ask that. You're also now the 3rd person I've said yes to. None of the other two have produced anything in months...
    So sure, if you want!

    Problem is with this code:

    @Override
    public TileEntity createNewTileEntity(World arg0,int arg1){
    return null;
    }

    You need to return the block's tile entity here. In your case it would be: new TileEntitytest();

    You are a life saver :D :Diamond:

    So i cannot view the code as a .java file? only .class? (read only) Because it is in awful format now. :/

    I can't (and won't) give you exact code, but the way you approach this is by casting a ray into the world to detect the block the player is currently looking at (if any, and you probably want to limit the range as well). Once you find the location of that block you need to move the entity (player) directly on top of that block (same x/z location but y + 1). Of course you'll need to do some extra checks to make sure there is enough free space to place the entity on that location as well as making sure the block under the entity is solid etc.

    Perhaps dig around the Minecraft code and see how the game figures out what block the player is currently facing (the game needs this for things as mining blocks, tools also have a limited range so you should find a perfect solution to your problem within the original code).

    Okay, the problem is (at least for me) I can no longer look at the minecraft files because of how the new coding works with gradle. Can you give me a tip on that?

    posted a message on Teleporting/Grappling Modding?
    So I am taking in a dead mod (Sly Cooper Mod) and was working on some of the coding. One thing that I really would love to know how to do would be the "parkour" parts of Sly cooper. Such as certain objects in sly cooper you could grapple or climb on (the glowing particles). I would want the same thing. Is there any way that say when i right click with a staff the player would teleport/move to a specific approved block? Much like how sly would grapple onto the ring in this picture

    tl;dr
    Is there a way to right click with a tool and you teleport/move to and grapple/stay on a block (like in sly cooper).

    Any help is greatly appreciated :D

    posted a message on [Help!] Rendering Custom Blocks Forge [1.7.X]
    So basically I followed ScratchForFun's youtube video on how to render custom blocks in 1.6.4 (link) and could not get my block to render. I can get the decreased hitbox size from the normal 16x16 but cannot get it to display my block. Can anyone help me fix it? Or point me to a decent tutorial on how to render custom blocks in forge 1.7.X? (I haven't found any good ones really :/)

    Any help is appreciated

    posted a message on Teleporting to blocks
    So I am (hopefully) taking in a dead mod (Sly Cooper Mod) and was going to be working ahead on some of the coding. Much like how sly would grapple onto the ring in this picture

    tl;dr
    Is there a way to right click with a tool and you teleport/move to a block (like in sly cooper).

    Any help is greatly appreciated :D

    I am back!!! I have missed coding and will be starting up on it again. Is anyone still interested in seeing this candy mod updated? With many new things added?
