your right i don't know much about java (c# is my #1 choice) and it is a bit confusing because it works for everything else but this one line of code i was just wanting a helpful tip not someone to point out the obvious. So thank you Captain Obvious.
sorry i am not able to be of much help but to answer your 4th question yes you can have the mob attack with the modded gun i have seen it done with many other mods.

and as i was coding in an Emerald Shard when Eclipse started acting weird and i have just on error and i was hoping to get some ideas how to fix it.
