Elizabeth moved the tea cups to a place where servants would find them more readily, and then went to reorganize the chairs and blankets that had been disrupted by her and the thief. On the other woman's chair she found crumbs of what she assumed was the "Blood" that had fooled even her. The Countess did not know of any natural materials which could so perfectly emulate the oxidization of blood, so to her the most reasonable answer was an expertly designed concoction. Definitely something worth investigating, but not something she necessarily needed. Finishing the small tasks she was using to delay herself, she marched towards the door she had earlier entered through, and prepared to discover why the soldiers and the driver had taken such a long period of time to enter the building.

"Yes, this village is definitely one of the more advanced ones these barbarians have created," Leif agreed, but as he called these people barbarians, he realized that perhaps the term was incorrect. Though he had been taught throughout his life that the Shcots were the most ruthless and primitive of the Terman factions, what he had seen over the course of the day gave him an impression of a society on par with his own. How could he rationalize attacking these people? There was little they would gain from being governed by Garlants. For his own peace of mind, and for the effectiveness of the mission, he had to see more.
"We can't be done yet. Not until we've formed an average of several settlements. The General is relying on us to tell him what he will be facing; if we can't tell him accurately, then we've failed. And if this isn't what their largest communities resemble, then that failure will be a drastic problem," Leif announced. The torch light of the city had been visible for a while, but now the features of the wall, tallest building and rivers were visible. As Leif finished his statement, the pair was reaching the small bridge that lead over the river.
((Sorry for the late reply, I must have overlooked the notification.))

Chelsette stalked silently to the stables, where she found exactly what she needed. A hay hook, it was a tool farmers used to hook hay bales and drag them, but to her the metal hook would become a climbing tool. Grabbing this and a rope, she made her way back into the main corridors.

(Sorry for how short this is, expect more soon.))

Hello! I am a huge fan of this mod, thank you for all the hours spent. I have many creature mods, many monsters are fitting for mars. However, they will die outside a bubble. Is there a config option of some sort that would allow me to have mobs roam mars?

Moonfire awoke with a start, she shook Thoth awake.

"I hear footsteps, come on." She left, expecting him to follow. She climbed up into a tree and found a branch that could support her. Her and Thoth were both large troodons, and she hoped they could take out any approaching animals, weather they were Set's cronies or regular predators.

The small rocky island was warm and breezy, on it awoke a great beast indeed. Titanis yawned, causing all the birds around him to fly away. His tail was dropped into the water, something was different today. He felt it, the seasons change. It was nearly time. Soon he would go back, back to the continent of his ancestors. The menace that was Set needed to be extinguished. Over the last 12 months, he had grown slightly on the diet of plesiosaurs, sharks and large fish. This small island was his home, it was more like a pile of rocks along the coral reef, but it was enough to keep him out of the water.

"It is indeed time." He remarked to himself. "No future awaits me here."

He slid his titanic body into the water and began to swim. He was most at home in the water, but he knew he would need to venture onto land once more to drive out Set, even if it meant death. And so north he went, anger and hope within him."

"We really be going dear." Sherlock remarked, standin. His leg hurt, but he could make it.

"Alright, but don't call me that." Sheira replied. Sherlock and her had been resting in the cold north for a long time now, but it was beginning to warm up. They needed to find Red, Moonfire, anyone they knew. Two raptors was far to small of a pack...

"Thank you, and what is your story? Why is a young warrior by himself out here?" Turgen asked,

"Well, tis not a happy one mate. I worked for my father in law for years, he acted as if I was nothing, as did me mother. Well, after some years in the field, I acquired Thor here from the chief for my work." He explained as Angus mewed. "Aye, and I got this fella. It occurs to me ye may not have 'em in your parts. He's a hunting cat, a good fight'n one to. I found him before Thor, he was just a cub. Anyway, I went hunting, I wanted to find a meal for my village, I was hoping they would like me, but alas it was no good. I unknowingly lead a bloody Dragon to me village. They rejected me, and so I wonder." Ardin finished, staring off into the distance. The pines and oaks were lovely, the air fine. He would miss Schot lands. But the journey ahead excited him.

He took out the flint and used his sword to spark it, starting a campfire. The wolves would stay away now, he hoped.

Chelsette knew exactly what the Countess had done once she told her to drink it.

"Thank you." She said finishing. "I'll be back, and with everything you need."

She walked out of the room silent as a mouse, leaving no trace.

Yes, we should be able to get more supplies, but I think our mission is nearly over sir." Karthra replied. "This does after all, seem to be one of the largest villages around." She watched Lief's expression, hoping her comment was not out of line. If it was, they could settle it once they got to the village, it was close now and she was more than ready for bed.

"Sorry, but for now you'll have to call me Trook," Pat responded, bumping up into the cockpit, where he grabbed his rifle. That girl was foolish to joke about shooting him. Just as he'd be foolish to joke about shooting the robot. Ambling back into the forward cavity, he passed the girl and Ranger, reaching his still open quarters and placing his rifle inside, before locking the door from the outside.

"You can take any of the other three rooms. I'm guessing the two of you can share?" Pat informed the pair while he gestured at the one room to his right and the two behind him.

"Yes, we'll share until my analysis of you is complete." Ranger replied before Fellatia could.

Fellatia smiled and blushed ever so slightly. "Ranger, relax. Yes Trook, we'll share, and thank you. Now I hope you don't mind if I get these wet clothes off and get some sleep."

She walked into the room, closing the door behind her. Ranger followed her, finding the bed and lying at the end of it.

"The room is clear." He remarked.

"So, we're alone then, no listeners?"

    "No, thankfully."

"Good, then you can tell me why you're acting so jumpy."

"He disabled me Fellatia, he did it twice."

    "Ranger please, I have this."

    "I don't trust him."

"Neither do I, but I need you to trust me."

"Affirmative, I'll trust you. But I'm watching that guy." Ranger said in a suspicious voice.

"Oh come on, he isn't the first person to shoot at us. Besides, that suit makes him look really muscular." She remarked, looking in her bag for dry clothes.

"You can't be serious." The robot said.

"Oh entirely, most armor is made to look that way, intimidating and strong."

"You know that's not what I meant."

"Yeah, I know. But that suit doesn't scare me, and it shouldn't scare you either."

Fellatia sat on the comfortable cot.

"Me? Scared of him?" Ranger retorted. "No, not scared, just suspicious. It's my job to protect you."

"No, it's your job to have my back, now will you listen to the plan?"

"Yes Miss Fellatia, my apologies." Ranger said, his eyes blue.

"No worries. Anyway, the plan is to go to Karr, find the island Folgore told us about, get the specimens and make some money."

    "And Trook's ship repairs?"

"With the money these animals are worth? We can buy a ship of our own, and repair his." Fellatia said, her eyes sparkling at the idea.

"How are we going to capture them?" Ranger asked.

"I dunno, you have more in common with them then I do." She said, lying down and covering up, dry clothes on. "I'll see you when I'm done napping."

"Roger that, I'll be in sentry mode."

    "Good night Range, Love ya."

Ranger couldn't smile, but he did on the inside. "Goodnight Fellatia. Sleep well."

Fellatia breathed a sigh of relief. Finally, some peace. How long it would last was a question for later.

    ((Sorry for the wall...))

Fellatia noticed the rifle sitting there. It was so tempting, tempting to show that brute what it felt like to get shot by that thing, just like poor Ranger. She almost got up, but then had a change of heart. Instead, she just waited for the fuses.

"Thanks" Fellatia said, taking the fuses from Pat. She opened the panel and began moving some of the parts in the way.

"I could have grabbed that rifle you know." She said, still working. "But then I might have ruined the fuses, no need for that." She smiled, hoping he knew she was joking. Another blow to the head was the last thing she needed, but that would be of no concern soon.

"Annd.. Gotcha" She said, installing the fuses she needed. She closed the panel, wiped her hands on her pants, and stood. "Ranger, wake up."

Ranger's red eyes lit up as he stood up, stretched, and looked at Fellatia and Pat. "Greetings, the name is CFP1.7, But you can call me Ranger. I am at your service Ma'am."

"That's just his default dialog that he does after being entirely deactivated." She remarked proudly. "Hey buddy, how'd you rest?"

"Fine miss Fellatia." Ranger replied as he looked around the ship. He looked directly at Pat for a moment. "You, you're the one who shot me."

    "Oh no Range, it's alright."

"Twice!" He said in raised tone.

"But hey, I'm alright, and he is going to help with the Karr job!" Fellatia said, hoping to calm Ranger.

"I have no need for money, we're fine."

"But I could use what money is left to get that overload protector, so this won't happen again."

Ranger considered it. "Alright, since you told me not to, I won't kill him. I would like to know his name and race though."

Fellatia sighed in relief. She knew that there was a function Ranger had that dealt with judgement, and not even she could over rule that. If he thought that there was an immediate threat, he could choose to act beyond orders. Thankfully though, he trusted her. Now if only she could get her new "partner" to trust her.

More than enough? Such an arbitrary number. But he had no doubt that she was telling the truth - an informant probably had told her 'bout the possibility of relics there. Which meant that the informant had probably already collected the relics themself. Then again, there could be more that the informant hadn't found. And if all went badly, he could always renegotiate. But first he had to go deal with Nova Vinny.

"Alright, missy, but a few stipulations. One, you make sure that robot does not shoot me. Ever. Second, if there ain't money to be had there, we move on to the next position, and keep on flyin' till my ship's more than paid for. Third, I've got to clear up some stuff on New Vini, so you'll have to wait until I'm done o'er there," Pat replied, standing in the entrance to the cockpit. Yeah, that's about it, he agreed with himself, and prepared to go back and fetch an extra fuse from one of the storage compartments at the back.

"Ever? Well, if you knock me out again... Alright, I'll see what I can do."

Fellatia went over to Rangers lifeless body. "Aw, Range, it kills me to see you like this." She said, looking over his form. He was dirty from the fall before and his eyes were dark. After looking around in her backpack, which she managed to grab by a miracle, she found the tool she neded to open up his main back panel. "Hey, uh, whoever you are, got the fuses yet?"

"If that's what you want," Pat responded, getting up from his chair and walking over to Fellatia. Damn it! More impulsive decisions. That's what got me in this mess in the first place. "I'll untie you, so let's start talkin'," Pat replied as he reached the scavenger. There was a great chance she was playin' him, but if she really had another option, he might as well hear it out. With his armour still on (Just as it nearly always was), he was perfectly safe from anything short of a gun or a well-placed jab with a blade. Not that she'd have any reason to stab him, but strangely, people were a little volatile after being tied up.

She walked with Patroo to the seats. The comfortable leather was far better than the cold hard floor.

"Alright, listen. Normally I would try to kill you, but given the fact you did save us back there, I have a proposal." She reached into her back pocket, removing a small map of the system. "This is Karr, the people there are hardly advanced at all. But, an informant of mine told me that somewhere on the larger islands there's an old base, possibly containing relics of Terra, both living and inanimate. Maybe even a main base of operation. If you and I team up, with Ranger's help, we could make a fortune. More than enough credits to pay for this ship, more than you could imagine." Her eyes seemed to sparkle as she talked about the credits.

"But first, weather you accept or not, I need my robot online. Deal?" She looked at him, hand in her right pocket.

"Good," Elizabeth replied, preparing to explain her requirements with haste. "Count Orelius is a rich man. He undoubtedly has scribes to write notes for him, and letters stored for him to refer to. I want everything you can carry; If he has messages from the king, bring them. If he has notes on the strength of his army, bring them. If he has letters from a secret admirer, bring them. If he has a note on where his favourite bread can be bought, bring it," Elizabeth barely paused, reflecting on when she had last obtained an opportunity such as this. "I don't know exactly where he would keep these papers, but locating it will add to your pay, of course. As for the rope, you can find some in the stables. With your skills, an entrance shan't be difficult to find. Do we have a deal?" Elizabeth finished, slowing her words as she came to a close. She still couldn't hear her guards. Where are those men? She wondered. When she had finished her business with - Who was she? Thief? Girl? The most fitting title seemed to be a tongue-in-cheek "Princess" - she would have to look in on them.

"It shall be done Madame, you have no worries." Chelsette promised. "I should be back in an hour. Farewell, and thank you."

"Ah, I've got a few spare fuses in the back. He does use fuses, right? If not I might feel a bit worse for frying him twice," Pat replied, turning his helmeted head to the robot in a pitying gesture. "But hey, that's not what you asked for. I feel like the best way to finish this up is to tell you the whole truth right up on front: I want to sell your robot." Yeah, let her gestate that for a bit. Might let her think of an alternative which Pat was having trouble coming up with; at the least, it would make her more willing to accept his alternative.

He had been struggling to decide which option to settle for. His entire "career" he'd been working alone, but the chance to get a robot like the one which lay unconscious a few feet away? Rather priceless, especially in his trade. If it meant working with Fellatia, who clearly did not tolerate him... Well, he'd have to consider it. He did have a way of charming people, but really, working with anyone at all would be a complete change to his life. I hate life-altering decisions.

Fellatia was taken aback. Sell Ranger? Impossible. He was the only perso... thing that had loved her since her father.

"Well guess what? He only listens to me, and you can't reprogram that, because he has advanced AI, it simply won't work." She looked at Ranger on the floor. "And besides, he's one of a kind, worth more than any awful taxi service like this. We're a team, you can't have him without me, I promise you it won't work."

She began thinking of alternatives. Her knife was in her boot. Her knife, perfect. Slowly, she slid her legs under her, so it looked like she was sitting on them.

"So, you could always kill me and sell him for scrap parts, or you can untie me and hear me out on another option, one much better than that."
