    Hi, I'm bananafone31 and I believe I was banned in error. I joined the server yesterday to sketch out a design with a couple friends, and when I tried to log back in today I get the error message "Banned for Multi-Accounting".

    I don't know if this is the place to bring up such issues. If not, if I could be directed to the right forum I'd appreciate it.

    It's a pump shotgun, actually, and I changed it so when you hold it, it has a pump action.

    The texture pack will probably be ready in the next couple of days.

    So I'm working on some tweaks to the map, specifically to the second level. I took out about half of it and am going to replace it with some fun stuff like the Harold Washington Library and the L (the elevated train here in chicago). Also I took out 90% of the loot. I had taken out a whole bunch and it still seems like it was way overkill.

    So updates soon(TM)!

    The adfly links are working! I've been watching the numbers tick up and up all week. Over 18,500 downloads now!

    I don't know about the malware issue. The links do seem to be working fine.

    I watched your series and really enjoyed it. You're pro at killing zombles.

    I definitely agree with the sewer bit. I was copy/pasting things using zombe's build mod, and I guess I didn't realize how big I had made it. Watching the playthroughs helps me learn how to make the sequel even better than the first.

The scale feels huge and personal at the same time, the textures fit perfectly, the enemies spawn just frequently enough to feel pressured without being overwhelmed or rushed ... Going through the park in the third section was probably my favourite part, although the looming and crumbling buildings in the first section were the most impressive. The second section ... was cool for about three and half minutes, then stretched on far too long and irritated the heck out of me. Not going to lie, that obligatory sewer was not that much fun. The rest of the areas and transitions were great, though. (Office cubicles!)

    I played single player on easy, and died once on each level. The checkpoints were nice, but the huge number of bows and arrows you're given felt unbalanced to the very few melee weapons - if there was even ONE in the last checkpoint, I missed it and finished the rest of the map with a bow only. You could fairly add a limit to the stacks of arrows you're allowed to carry at once, to add a bit more tension.

    Also, you might want to check the boundaries and add some (directional) arrows in the first outdoor area. Without building or breaking anything I managed to first get lost and then climbed outside of the play area and hit the giant wall. I restarted and went okay the second time, at least.

    Mild technical issue aside, this map was 66% pure awesome sauce and 33% sewers. I would award it two thumbs and one middle finger up! :tongue.gif:


    Now that I've been watching everyone playthrough the map, I can't agree with you more. I find myself skipping the sewers part when watching LP's on youtube.

    I did have a whole bunch of directional arrows in the first level and I had added 5 in subsequent revisions. I had plugged up one major hole, and I'll probably go back in this weekend and fix the rest that people found.

    I'll also take out all the arrows. I think I put them in there because when I was doing a playthrough, I was freaking out and just wanted to load up on arrows. I realize now that if I'm freaking out, it means the map is balanced.

    And so it is! For some reason I thought it was a Painterly texture, but I do remember borrowing it from a different pack now that you mention it. I apologize profusely. I will edit the OP right now and give you a link.

    Oh good, I'm glad you figured it out.

    Atm I'm brainstorming what the next map should include. I probably won't start building, though, until after 1.8 is released.
