Most of the Aussies wanting to go to Minecon like me would love to go but between the $1500 plane ticket for one way and the accomidation and food its to expensive from Australia to travel overseas unlike it is for countries like America and the UK.


So im wondering when do you think it will be in Australia as i have had the money and have wanted to goto every minecon since but i just have no way of leaving Australia.

I wasn't allowed to play M rated games till i was 13 my brother was at the age of 8 now before he started playing them he was nice now he is a total **** who loves to punch people up and fight.

Video games actually do affect younger people and thus 8 year old shouldn't really be playing M rated games

These idiots commonly American or British for some reason tend to think the world revolves around there country and they are the center and the best.
The spend there time bragging about how America or Britain rules and how other countries suck and when they connect to a server out of there area and its laggy they blame everyone else because they think they are the center.
These types of gamers Losers love to think there country is the best and **** everyone off.


Before anyone questions this i have run into alot of these and most were British or american im only using statistics for this but there are alot more be them Asian,Russian or anyone

I have noticed after playing over 30+ MMO and MMORPG's All suffer from lag due to american and asian companies saying sure we will make an Australian server but situate it in there city.

I want to say is there anny MMO's with proper Australian servers in Australia as its kind of stupid i hear about games like Guild wars 2 and alot of mmo's i go cool then i try it and evil that noticeable lag.

The lag that say your ping is 300+ Ms
Pisses me off.

So i must ask do you know anygames and what do you think on this whole situation of countries excluding Australia.

Kinda. I can play everything no matter the graphics BUT rouge games like Dwarf Fortress or ADOM. I want to play them, but, its hard to get used to those kind of graphics.

Well, to be quite frank, in my opinion all drugs that affect the brain directly ought to be entirely illegal. Yes, that includes psychological treatment drugs. In my own humble opinion, I firmly believe that the drugs are unnecessary and cause more harm than good in that case.

As to cannabis, I think there are far more healthy ways to have fun and relax. If you need a drug to relax or have fun, you are either a very jittery or boring person. Go find some interesting people with bubbly personalities and befriend them (if you can). Trust me, friends are a miracle cure, if you can find the right ones. If your friends are recommending drugs for recreation, find new ones.

The same goes for alcohol. It shouldn't be legal, for the exact same reasons. The majority of people who drink alcohol drink it because they lack self-confidence, and to be quite frank those people need to grow up and stop relying on chemicals that permanently damage their body just to feel confident. You know why it makes you feel confident? Because it's stopping your brain from working properly. Heck, I have a friend who's had his stomach pumped several times and has had liver poisoning twice. In the span of one year. Needless to say, I don't go out to have fun with him. I pick better friends to have fun with. He's a good guy, but since I don't agree with his drinking, I stay well away from him outside of school.

The thing is, people these days are far used to relying on drugs. You know the placebo effect? Yeah? I'm pretty sure just about everyone does. It is factual proof that the brain does not require any form of drugs to aid diseases, help you relax or whatever. It's merely a matter of you exerting your will. If you have so little willpower you require a drug to do something you enjoy doing (bar smoking/imbibing said drug), then it's time to practice actually using your brainpower a bit.

You can do (literally) anything if you set your mind to it. All it takes is time, patience, and thought. Our brains are capable of far more than we know, and destroying them with drugs is an absolute waste. C'mon, use your brain, don't bust it up.

Sorry, I get a little rant-y when people mention legalising drugs. Too many are legal already. We need to cut back on our usage of drugs. Yes, some are life-saving, but apart from that, I don't think they're really necessary. The main reason humanity's in such a sorry state is that we've become reliant on drugs in everyday life. A big one is painkillers. They're everywhere. If we stopped using them for a good decade or so, yes it would be ridiculously painful to adapt, but once that hiccup's over, we would be much the same, only without all the stupid side effects. The brain is perfectly capable of ignoring pain. It does not need drugs to help it. All you ahve to do is exercise the ability.

Sorry, again. It infuriates me that people are sometimes so (sorry about the rudeness) pathetic that they think destructive drugs like cannabis should be legalised. Alcohol should be illegal in the first place. It's a poison that works by absorbing the water out of all your cells, which causes them to break down and fall apart on the spot. Cannabis effectively severs brain connections, or damages them so severely they no longer work properly. That's why you get recurring trips at random times, and suffer memory loss, and all the psychological effects of cannabis that only manifest themselves much later.

And finally, sorry. I hate ranting, but it sickens me that the human race is nowadays so pathetic that we're talking about legalising cannabis. No, we shouldn't exterminate it, because it isn't our job to be monitoring what species live and die in the world (don't even bother arguing that point. Any species talking about taking substances that damage their own bodies for fun should not be allowed to go monitoring the other species on the planet), but we shouldn't be smoking it like it's harmless.

A final apology, because I dislike getting angry and I'm really very sorry... but in all honesty, this sort of discussion makes me want to go commit genocide. I kid you not.

I spent roughly twelve hours, spread out over two-three weeks, to implement static lighting into my two dimensional map generator. The map is a binary wall/not wall system, so there's no translucency to deal with. Furthermore, since it's in 2D, light can only spread a very limited number of directions (currently eight, fading by one point per cardinal direction and the square root of 2 points per diagonal direction). The only thing it does better than Minecraft is that it has 100 levels of light, rather than 16.

It takes several seconds to compute a 1000x1000 map's rooms and lighting. Even if I cut it down to 16 cycles, it still takes too long to be considered a feasibly real time process.

Doing this in real-time and in three dimensions isn't quite as easy as you seem to think.

There's arguments for legalisation in both the opinion of a medical professional and law enforcement officer.

The industry as it stands today is clean, safe and in no way associated with the violent criminals that it used to be. What you're doing is crippling a syndicate by cutting off one of their solid revenue streams.

It may be better for politicians that these things remain illegal, because let's face it, at the end of the day all they are interested in is raising revenue for the state. I can assure you that front-line officers may tell you a different story.

If it bothers you so friggin' much, Witches, according to Dinnerbone, will spawn in special huts and have cats. So, just turn off the option to generate features like that. So, you lose mineshafts, strongholds, dungeons, villages... pretty much everything, but hey, you won't get Witches.
