I gotta say, this mod looks to be loads of fun! I've got a question though: can you create a team or group of people to follow you around? I'm asking this because I plan on updating to 1.10 eventually to get Thaumcraft, Aether II, Betweenlands and other exploration/adventure based mods, and it would be amazing if I could form my own team of warriors and explorers to join me on my adventures :D

I'm pretty sure you can get warriors and archers to follow you around and fight for you now. In previous versions that job was done by guards.

It was announced awhile back that it would be for 1.10.0. Originally it was going to be for 1.8.0 if I remember correctly. Because that's how long ago this project was started. Now it might wind up being released for 1.10.2 at the same time. Or they'll keep with the 1.10.0 with the initial so they don't have to set themselves back with another update.

I don't think there's a difference between 1.10.0 and 1.10.2 in terms of modding. I could be wrong though.

I was able to have kids with both, at once as well, if I clicked fast enough.

    Nice.

But for real, from an immersion standpoint I'm not really a fan. Either regular polygamy should be added, or that bug should be fixed (maybe by having the new wife seek divorce when she finds out you resurrected your old wife).

How you can do ultra HD textures?

I love this mod I want to play it!! very good job

If you want ultra HD textures, or any type of texture change, make your texture in photoshop or gimp or whatever (make sure it has the same proportions as the default dragon texture!) and create a resource pack with nothing in its assets except for that texture. Just find where the ice dragon is in the mod's assets and make folders of the same name in your resource pack's assets. Since the mod has not been released yet I don't know where that would go but it would probably be something like assets/iceandfire/mobs/icedragon/iceblue.png.

Configurability is always good. As for their default spawn rate, since they're only found in two biomes, I think they should be about as rare as pyramids. Of course for my modpack I'll be doubling that rate but it seems to be balanced for a standalone mod.

Some suggestions in no particular order:

    - Replace the vanilla Minecraft witch with a human witch, because it doesn't make sense when villagers are replaced with humans but there's still a villager witch.

    - Maybe more hostile humans? There could be cannibals in jungles, barbarians in plains/forests, etc. Occasionally they would have villages of their own. They might also have personality traits, like some would be honorable and fight to the death, others would be cowardly and run (there's not much point to this, I guess it just makes sense since the regular humans have personalities too). Some would stay at the village and only become hostile once you get too close, these are parents and would have a chance to drop babies, the item, which you can then raise as your own.

Eventually when they grow up to be strong warriors (or librarians or tailors, whatever) you will tell them a tale of bloody battle and conquest, of great heroes who fought and died, and one man's act of mercy that saved the innocent children of a brutal race. And that, kids, is how I met your mother.

    - Some way to turn hostile humans peaceful, but idk how you would do it. Most likely some type of potion, or perhaps by giving them offerings.

    - NPC Barons, just like you can become a baron, other villages can have NPCs as their barons. There could also be a way to form an alliance either by paying tribute, or having one of your children marry one of theirs. Evil barons might also be a thing probably. Do some game of thrones stuff and kill the evil ruler or have your son get with his sister. Whatever works.

    - Walls should generate around villages. Please. Zombies are op, and Witchery isn't here for 1.10 yet.

    - After making alliances with a bunch of barons, and building up sufficient reputation, you will be able to demand a writ of fealty. This is an item that shows their loyalty to you. Craft three different writs of fealty with an ancient crown (new item that's found in dungeon chests, unless you can think of a more interesting way to obtain it) to obtain the Royal Crown, which makes you a king. Kings are like super barons and can collect taxes from other barons, train villagers to be guards/warriors/archers, and other cool stuff.

    - A config that allows users to either create new types of MCA villagers, or give existing mobs the MCA villager AI, which would make them behave like MCA villagers and give them a gender, personality type, etc. You can specify that in the config as well as disabling certain things. For example if I had a mod in my modpack that adds mermaids and I wanted them to be MCA villagers, I would add the mermaids' ID to the config. Then do stuff like gender:female, preference:random, are they hostile:false, can marry:yes, can procreate:no, and the different tasks that mermaids can and can't do, as well as add items to their trade offers. Creating a new type of villager would be similar but you have to create a name and select skins for them to use, and that might be very complicated to code.

    - An option in hardcore mode to be able to play as one of your kids after you die. I'm not sure if this was actually the "secret hardcore feature" that is no longer in the mod, since I just made it up, but it also sounds like it would be. In any case this would make hardcore a lot more interesting.

Btw these are just random ideas I had, you can change them in any way you want or use them as inspiration for something completely different, idc.

I see lots of people suggesting polygamy, but honestly if polygamy was to be added what would stop a player from marrying every single villager and just having an army of kids? It would be kind of OP. Maybe there could be a limit to how many villagers you can marry.

so does anyone know the ETA at the moment? Last I heard they had the fire dragon animated and ready to go, and the basic stuff in, so whats being worked on now?

They recently finished most of the ice dragon stuff so I'm assuming now silver or snow villagers. Shouldn't take long.

Edit: for whatever reason Raptor's comment wasnt there when I wrote this. So ignore this.

Anyone else wish that any and all attempts to suggest or demand more dragons would be declared spam!?

Ice and Fire is the very theme of the mod. This is not directed at any one individual. It's a statement of sympathy for the developers in recognition of the patients with putting up with the dozens upon dozens of Demands for More More More CLOGGING UP the thread! 110 Pages and demands for more dragons followed by the exhaustive explanations that there will ONLY BE TWO must take up a good 7th of this thread!

I think declaring it spam is a bit of an overreaction. Just ignore them at this point.

I don't want to create unnecessary competition with mo'creature which I know is updating to 1.12.

It may be too late for that haha.

Personally though I'm not a fan of Mo'Creatures, the models are ugly and they don't allow modpacks. When this mod is released and Animals Plus comes to 1.10.2 I'm gonna be very happy.

Pertyton, we already have hippogryphs and without deer, in game, it leaves little comparison

This just made me realize, why don't you add lions for comparison for the Nemean lion? I know they exist in real life so it may not make sense, but they do have a lot of meaning in mythology. Also this is a mod where dragons and serpents and stuff are real, so therefore in this world, there shouldn't be a distinction between them and "actually real" creatures like lions.

The other option would be to make a Nemean lion-like creature, but instead of calling it the Nemean Lion (because that name implies the existence of regular lions) make it a Nemean Beast, or some other unique name, and make it a creature that somewhat resembles a lion. This beast would still have the armored skin and would basically serve the same function as the Nemean lion without being a lion.

Then again regular Minecraft has polar bears without any other species of bear so maybe I'm overthinking this and it's a completely irrelevant point.
