I have some problem with server. BTW was installed and i playing over a few days. Today when I started the server, all the blocks of BTW mod are gone (no crash-reports or something). Does anyone else encountered a similar problem and is there a way to avoid this (except backup)?

Someone updated the server. Your world is damaged, you will need to revert to your last backup.

If you dont backup, now is the time to start. Save your world at least once a day, to a secure spot like google dropbox.

If i think back, I'm pretty sure the ability to rotate has saved me more clicks than it has cost me. But I'm only annoyed by it when I rotate an already placed block. It's 6 of one, 1/2 dozen of the other to me.

Mouldings (sidings, corners etc) are great. But I have two issues with them. The first is that because right click is now used for all sorts of actions, I often misclick and accidentally rotate a placed block. The second is that before the auto connect corners option I used them to make pixel style art on the walls, now the options for doing so are much more limited.

I wish there was a way to glue them in place so that they would no longer rotate when right clicked, and would no longer auto connect at the corners.

This is a wheat planter. When power is cut, the piston retracts the planter, and the wheat harvests and drops down. When power comes back on, the piston extends, and a tick later the BD plants a wheat seed.

By tiling them up like so, you get a wheat farm that can be extended upwards to increase capcity, and that all collects into a single point, limiting the need for water transport. Every 40 minutes, trigger a harvest.

McRawny did a good tutorial on BTW timers:

Instlll MC patcher and then modloader. Start up your minecraft to see if it works at that step, then add BTW.

Jeebus Flowerchild. There were two polite, calmly worded bug reports. The only one "freaking the out " is you.

No one is making farms out of it, because the behavior is also that it doesn't give seeds. You were able to make a very slow pulsing signal out of a wheat and a bud before this change.

If your intended behavior is that it harvest each crop in a uniquely quirky way, that's cool. But there's no need to be snarky when I was just clairifying that it is quirky in the way it harvests wheat vs. hemp. The only reason I posted it is that you dismissed out of hand the first bug report.

I would expect that when flipping this lever, the wheat would reamain undisturbed. Instead, it is sucked in and replanted. This is different behavior from hemp. A hemp seedling is left undisturbed when flipping the lever.

Is there any way to get Better Than Wolves to work on a Bukkit server?

    No.

I only make things optional if they break existing builds, for reasons already discussed at length in this thread.

What if they break existing systems, instead of builds?. We use maps to divide the server into lawful and lawless sectons. Maps drive trade, because they consume reams of paper. The act of mapping is popular. One of my friends plans a cartography guild to take advantage of the new vanilla features. They are aesthetic now, being hangable. And they are a powerful and interesting way to exchange information.

I feel like I started with a rock. You took that out of my hands and gave me a hammer. But every time I try and use the claw to pull down some drywall, you take the hammer out of my hands, and turn it around, and show me how to drive a nail.

I hope that if/when you decide to rip out maps that you make it an HC option. I understand that they don't make sense from an anarchy standpoint. But the action of mapping is one of the things I enjoy. It is part of the conquering and harnessing the land vibe that I like from minecraft.

err is the millstone suppose to be so loud?

It sounds like freight cars moving around! I like it though, it finally motivated me to install an on/off lever for my millstone.
It is undeniably loud, but I think it is better than the old explosion noises

EDIT I discovered a but that I think may be because of BTW! I cant seam to use a map and when I try to craft it into a bigger map my MC Crashes! FC if your reading this can you FIX IT!

I'm also experiencing this. It happens when I enlarge a map from 1:1 to 1:2 using the anvil. It works if I use a crafting table, but using the anvil causes the client to crash with this report:

    java.lang.NullPointerException
    at tx.a(ItemMap.java:30)
    at vo.a(SourceFile:30)
    at vq.a(CraftingManager.java:298)

Ihave now tried getting this mod to work, but despite following the instructions, i cannot get it to work at all, neither in good old drag & drop the files to minecraft.jar, nor building an instance in multimc, neither work, the multimc instance just crashes and the manual modded jar just gives me a black screen.

What am i missing ? I tried with a 1.3.2 jar as the instructions sez its compatible with that and no mention about anything else.

I know that blackscreen is the symptom you get if you forget to delete the meta-Inf folder from the original jar file. Also possible is that you are using the version of modloader for minecraft 1.4. I think only an older modloader will work.

Trying to get a mod working at the exact moment that all mods and tools are transitioning to a new minecraft version is tricky.

Here are carefully laid out instructions with screenshots:
