    posted a message on Quiver!
    I haven't seen any mods for this so ...

    there will be a extra "armor" space to put the quiver on. When you equip the quiver, you gain three inventory spaces that are a bit away from the others. You can only store arrows here, up to three stacks. arrows are taken from the quiver automatically when you use the bow. For every stack of arrows in your quiver, it looks like it has more on your back ( assuming it will have a texture to make it so you carry it on your back when equipped ). Arrows can also be STORED in the quiver by equipping it, putting in arrows, and taking it off. But it would take up less space by using it. One last thing: When using a quiver, there is a new bow drawing animation. The player reaches back, grabs a arrow ( maybe you can see this with your left hand in first person mode? ), and than nocks the arrow onto the bow. THAN the player starts to pull back the bow, and fire.

    posted a message on [1.1]Mo' Ores! (not done just want suggestions)
    There should be armor that takes damage over time ( not to the player ) but makes you invincible for a limited amount of time. Until the armor breaks. So if you equip the armor, you are invincible, but the armor will start taking damage, so it doesnt last forever.

    Sorry, I forgot that I had to name a ore type. It could be enchancium or something. but its gotta look cool.

    posted a message on Advanced/Better Combat Mod
    Ideas:

    Halberd: made with four iron and two sticks

    I I I
    I S
    S

    I=Iron
    S=stick
    As much damage and durability of a iron sword, but reaches longer.

    Great Sword:

    Four iron and one stick

    I
    I I I
    S

    I= wood, stone, iron, diamond, gold.
    S=stick.
    does +100% damage on crits instead of +50%

    Jeweled Blade:

    One sword of any material and a diamond

    placed anywhere in the crafting grid

    Enchantments on this sword have +75% effects

    War-Axe:

    Five wood, stone, iron, diamond, or gold, and two sticks

    I I I
    I S I
    S

    I=any material
    S=stick

    Can chop trees and do damage the same as a sword/axe of that tier.

    Nether ore:

    9 netherrack

    N N N
    N N N
    N N N

    N=netherrack, lol.

    netherrack ore can be smelted into nether ingots

    Nether ingot:

    smelting nether ore

    Life Draining Sword:

    two nether ingots and one stick

    N
    N
    S

    N=nether ingot
    S=stick

    Does the damage or iron, has the durability of wood, and the damage done to the other mob/player is added to your health.

    Reinforced Life Draining Sword:

    one life draining sword ( full durability ), five iron ingots, and a blaze rod

    I
    I L I
    I BI
    I=Iron ingot
    B=Blaze rod
    L=life draining sword

    Damage of diamond sword, drains damage like a life draining sword, and lasts as long as a iron sword. Epic.

    Enchantments for these weapons:

    Halberd:

    Range ( half a block farther range per level, up to III )
    Sharpness ( same as with swords )
    Arc ( hit all mobs/people in front of you, only one level )

    Battleaxe:
    Same as sword

    Great Sword:
    Arc ( hits all mobs/people in front of you, only one level )
    Bleed: causes damage over time, like poison. (up to level II, half a heart of damage per second per level. Also, lasts 5 seconds per level)
    Heavy Impact: crits do double damage per level ( up to level II )
    All sword enchantments

    Life draining sword:
    Vampirism: extra half heart stolen with every hit per level ( up to level IV )
    Flare: Damage that ignores armor and lights target on fire ( one and a half heart per level, two seconds of fire per level, up to level II )
    All sword enchantments

    Reinforced life draining sword:
    Same enchantments as life draining sword, but vampirism can reach level V and flare can reach level III

    Sorry if you though I was trying to make you look bad or anything, but I've had this on my mind for a while.

    posted a message on Better NPC's
    NPC's would basically be found everywhere. In mineshafts, there would be miners. In strongholds, there would be guards and prisoners. In forests, you could find cabins with wanderers. Deserts could have ruins filled with some undead mobs, maybe adding a mummie or something. And there would be more types of NPC houses, and NPC mines, that than led to mineshafts. And in the nether, there could be some soldier NPC's that drop some leather armor and stone tools. And one last thought, adventurers. They could be found all over, moving between villages and ruins, fighting mobs, and trading items with players. This might mean some pretty advanced GUI ... but I can see this in the game being cool.

    I've got a more detailed post for this now, so I'm re-directing people to here:

    posted a message on I Need help building an RP server
    IRL name: Ian
    Why you want to join server: RP server? Kewl.
    Age: 13
    What are you good at doing on MC: building some more complex houses and redstone engineering.
    What can you do to help this server: I could build villages, tunnels, castles ( would take some time ), or just some redstone engineering. But I've had the most experience with redstone and better looking underground tunnels.

    Oh, and my IGN is awesomlyawesome

    posted a message on Iron Golem Bug
    Let me tell you a story about macs and windows: basic windows ( Such as Toshiba, meant for word processing and stuff. Not minecraft ) Are horrible for minecraft. All macs run minecraft fairly well. And there are still windows computers that run minecraft even better than the macs. So it all depends on what type of computer you use. Because some computers have better graphics cards.
