I vote February 1st is officially Orbiting Meadows Day. In 200 years, when people are all whizzing about on jetpacks and having 'relations' with aliens, they'll wonder what Orbiting Meadows actually was, but they'll celebrate it anyway. It's kinda like Easter, no one knows what is is but FREE CHOCOLATE.
As you can tell, I am still the same offensive young lad I was back in the day, and that will never change. HOWEVER. I believe that Atom has grown strong in this downtime, and will not grant me my superpowers I so relished. As such, I will resort to crying on every Orbiting Meadows Day. Or maybe I'm just over thinking it

The map for creative will be the old Orbiting Meadows creative map. As for survival, assuming all the rollback features and world protection for survival functions properly, there should be no need to have a reset when we come out of beta. And the redstone server will be delayed until survival and creative are fully functional as I intend.

Everything is mostly on track for the Feb 1st launch, but to make sure there are no bugs, and so that I can continue to add final features after launch, the first two weeks or so will be a public beta. Everyone who has achieved guest+ rank will be able to access the server to the full extent, while new players will still have to wait a little while longer.

1. My recovery is going quicker! Finally off crutches! (for the most part) And seeing daily improvements in my mobility. I can now dedicate more time to server work.
2. I have purchased www.OrbitingMeadows.com. This means that we will have a website when the server relaunches, as well as a permanent named IP for server connections in minecraft.
3. I just finished ordering all of the parts for the physical OM server build. They should be here in 5-7 business days, and I will be able to start moving the in-production servers to their permanent environment.
The soon to be OM server specs are:
- 4.0GHz 8 core processor
- 16GB of DDR3 1866 RAM
- 120GB SSD with 540MB/s read and 410MB/s write speeds (for the OS, server files, data, and maps)
- 1TB HDD 7200RPM (for the server, plugin and map backups)
Once the new server is built I can begin the major parts of getting the server up and running (we are switching from windows to linux)
Glad to see all of the enthusiasm! And again, apologies for the server being down. I miss playing as much as all of you, but this process will ensure a long and sustained future for the Orbiting Meadows community.
