Horses for travel and battle, Donkeys for work. Maintaining an outpost, I'd ideally want at least two mules for the mining and lumber industries to maximize output, while I'd want my scouts mounted on horses for reconnaissance and my soldiers as an equal mix of cavalry (shock value, distance skirmishing) and infantry (stealth, controlled combat).

The question precludes it, saying you just met the creepy bugger.

    Quote from ajhcraft

No way is it acceptable, it isn't fair either.
    Yay new rank!

It's unfair if they cheat. Nobody denies that X-ray is awful. If they're playing legitimately though, it's perfectly fair for a bandit clan or one really robust player to terrorize the countryside, because they are taking a big risk (having their lair discovered, reprisal from victims, admin attention) for a big reward. There are many ways to avoid the danger of being griefed, but you have to be clever. Players these days are complacent and weak, they expect stuff to fall into their laps. Want to avoid getting bombed? Build your house in the air with resistant materials. Want to avoid being discovered in your underground citadel? Drape the top floor with lava on the outside, it blocks most X-Rays and burns any tunnellers. Your enemy is smart, so you must be smarter.

posted a message on What Do You Think, Is Griefing Acceptable or Not Acceptable?
Griefing is acceptable when done with class and purpose. Pointless destruction or giant dirt phalluses are juvenile and ultimately artless, but the systematic razing of a town by mounted marauders shouting in Mongolian or a massive eighty-foot schlong made of priceless minerals and rare woods, that's wonderful beyond compare. I don't grief myself, I don't have the heart for it. If I break something, it is incidental and for purposes of clearing my way towards an objective such as an enemy throne or diamond hoard. But griefers have given me something special. They've given me a challenge. A real danger, an intelligent enemy, something to truly match my wits against. Yeah, griefing is rude. It's also magnificent.

I was once banned for having an innapropriate skin-

I was wearing a Darth Vader skin in a Star Trek RP server!!!

Well, yeah. Darth Vader's not exactly Starfleet material. That only really warrants a kick, though.

Whenever some inexperienced scamp insists on wasting valuable tool minerals on building construction, and then call it good. Christ on a Pogo Stick, my young friends, diamonds are for making tools, not for shoving into blocks to make a 6x6x3 box. You want to be 'rich'? Build your house out of a multitude of rare and fragrant woods and lovingly polished stones elegantly layered to accent one another. The -only- precious mineral that should be used in regular construction is Lapis, and only sparingly.

You ought to invest in a Sami Storehouse. Raising it off the ground means that you won't have to worry about freak accidents involving Creepers destroying any exposed chests, which you seem to leave lying around your base.

I was building a town with some friends on a very small server, and the admin put up a big plain wooden tower from nowhere on our mountain. I chopped up and replaced some of the logs to make a step and see what was inside, but it was empty and I got kicked for 'griefing', I explained myself and apologized, and later we got sucked into a weird parkour dungeon that I didn't want any part of. I tunnelled my way out and was immediately permabanned despite filling every hole I made.

Short, army haircut is best haircut. I don't keep mine shaved all off though I easily could- I keep it short, off the ears and collar, short bangs and neatly combed.

Do not approach me with your long sticking up greasy curly half-bedhead hair. That doesn't look professional and it's laughable (yeah, I'm talking to all of you band geeks, you know who you are)

    >MFW I wake up every morning like that

Seriously people, hairbrushes and combs exist for a reason. If I can set my hair from what this guy describes to as close to beautiful as my poor appearance will ever allow, you guys can too.

I like mine about shoulder length. It seems to change consistency every time I grow it, so it swaps between curly, straight, wavy, and feathered, but never the way I'd like it at that time.
