You should be able to breed tigers and lions because there is an actual species mixed between the two. They're called ligers. But they need to be rare if you add them
Would it be cool to have a bird as a companion in minecraft? Well I do. Since Notch is coming out with the XP bar next update i found a cool way in taming birds depending on your current skill level. Since there would a possiability of 6 birds you can tame in the game which would be a humming bird, bluejay, parakeet, parrot, hawk, and an eagle. The first four birds during the go out and collect seeds for you so you dont have to wander around hitting tall grass and trying your luck in trying to get seeds. The humming bird and the bluejay will collect about 3-5 seeds in a day. parakeet and the parrot will collect 5-7 seeds in a day, but the hawk and the eagle are special. You have an option between the two. Whether to let them get seeds for you or go fish. If you pick the seeds option the hawk and the eagle will get 8-11 seeds in a day. But if you pick the fish option then they will bring home 3-6 fish each day. right now you are starting to wonder what will the birds put there seeds or fish they have colllected for you at? Well you will have to make a bird stand which is....

As you can see a bowl attatched to the bird stand. When is starts to turn dusk they will report back to there stand put what they have collected in the bowl and sit on the stand til morning. You could also breed them, but it would have to be of the same bird and they will make a nest in a near by tree or mountain depending on the bird. Also one last thing to add is you can only own 3 birds at one time so choose wisely.

this would be ok. It gives another use for coco beans. Also we could find a way to squeeze the juice out of cacti and use the cactus juice. The cactus juice would heal 3-4 hearts.
