Hrm. I uploaded a modified terrain.png with the glass and iron door swaps I mentioned before, but now my post is missing. Posting it again.

Cool. I'll give some different flavors of download when the pack is 'done', but I'm sure folks will appreciate the alternate terrain in the meantime.

I like this pack. To be honest I'd rather have hearts than circles and the reticule/crosshair thing is.. well I don't like them usually anyway.

    I love your house!

First off, thanks for this incredible pack, easily my favorite.

I just wanted to show off a little tweak I made to the bed frame... I was kind of disappointed that the beds overall seemed rather small and not very fit for my castle.

So I plunked the beds against some planks, and in terrain.png, simply copied over a bit of the plank texture to the bed frame texture. I think the effect looks a lot better, especially when the beds are doubled up:

Oh, now that I think about it, I think you forgot to put the art pack from 1.6 into 1.7 and 1.8. Still had 1.6 in my trash can, so I threw that back in too.

Those beds with the bottom frame look great when placed against the wood panel blocks. Good call!

I made a Biome Compatible version.

    Enjooooy :biggrin.gif:

Looks good. But it's a little too 'default' feeling. Stay tuned for an official biome release. And I really hope the devs fix the sidegrass soon. Looks retarded having different hues of green next to each other.

Here I darkened the GUI's felt the items were to bright for such a white GUI. Tell me what you think?

If anyone wants darkened GUI's let me know and I'll upload it.

Cool. Updating the items is on my todo list btw. I'll sell you on the lighter gui yet!

Let me just say that this Pack is awesome. I currently have an older version of this pack, and the download link does not work. Is there anyway you can put up a mirror link, or fix the original, or both.

Sorry, I know mediafire sucks for some folks (not me, I've never had a problem downloading). When the pack is in a somewhat stable state I'll provide several mirrors for download.

Thank you SO much for this pack! I absolutely adore it! I had been using Gerudoku's and Painterly, but I think this might be my new full time pack. I love the new mossy cobble! Can't wait until you add custom paintings and now a bed! :smile.gif:

Also, would you consider making an alternate pumpkin that is an actual pumpkin? I understand if you dont think it fits with your pack theme, but I thought I would ask.

You're welcome! And maybe on the pumpkins. I'll keep it on the backburner.

Hahaha, why is there a bomb stuck to the bottom of the cake? XD

Love this texture pack, it's my favourite! :Diamond: I love how well the colours work together, it's awesome. I do think it needs some biome colours to subtly tint things, but I like seeing the transitions between biomes so that might just be me.

Can't wait until this updates to suit the beta 1.3, so my Minecraft world can be pretty again. I miss my spotty white cows :sad.gif:

Glad someone finally noticed the cake bomb.

    Quote from DocKro »
My water, lava and grass seem to have gone back to default Minecraft, but everything else is Jolicraft.

Is this a result of the latest 1.3 Minecraft update? The files in the jolicraft folder seem to be right, but they're not showing up in-game properly for those (lava, water, grass).

    This makes me sad. :sad.gif:

Yeah you'll have to update your minecraft, then re-apply the texture pack with the patcher. The patcher has been updated so it should work fine now.

    Quote from MikeLive »
Love the pack. Was exploring terrain.png to create local 1.3 support until it's official (copying bed textures and whatnot over) and discovered the alternative textures there - the other glass I like a lot more than the +-shaped one currently in use. I also really enjoy the other iron door design.

Yeah I just found that those other glass textures just looked a little too 'doku' for my own pack. But I do like them too, that's why I left them there. And the other iron door was cool too, but there's some weird tiling issues that happen on the side of the door that I could never fix, so I stuck with the solid door.

But I too liked the wonky squares,.. And I looked at the alt instructions but they confused me a bit,.. If you could help clarify just a bit it would be much appreciated,.. (:

Oh,. and when we will be seeing the new bed,.. For some reason Im excited to see how you customize it,.. :biggrin.gif:
:tnt: :tnt: :tnt: :tnt: :tnt: ,.. I like Tnt,.. Hahaha

Many thanks! And yeah I'm not much for technical support. I'm hoping to have easily downloadable 'flavors' of the pack when it's 'finished', so if you want alts and you don't want to dig through the zip to find & rename them, you'll probably have to wait patiently.

Enjoy 1.3 folks! Let me know if there's anything amiss.

sadly ,i liked the square blocks on the gui, and the zombies with ties were awsome. :sad.gif:......but what does the new mosstone look like?

Well then you're in luck, because the circle gui is just an alternate (the wonky square blocks are the default), and the zombie with a tie is also in there as an alternate. Just look at my main post instructions on how to toggle the alts.

Thank you so much for this pack. :biggrin.gif: It is absolutely wonderful. I spent a few weeks jumping from pack to pack trying to find something that I could stick with and I finally found it with Jolicraft.

If I can make one tiny constructive criticism, I think the lava might look better if it had a little more red coloring to it. Right now, to my eye at least, it looks a smidge too yellow.

But that's a very, very minor, nitpicky complaint. The pack is fantastic, thanks again for it. :biggrin.gif:

Thanks! And I agree, the lava will get a miner facelift.

This didn't look like my style of pack but once I installed it I really loved it. The Sun I love, the animated smoke is great. Love it all.... except the brick. I like red bricks, I can accept blue bricks. But orange and yellow is rough :sad.gif:

Oh I also really like how the armor is just accessories. It lets you see people's skin and their armor just blings them out a litte. It works great for SMP.

I think the Bricks are awesome in this. If you look at the color scheme used throughout the pallete it looks like it all belongs together. Its own style.

Different strokes for different folks. I chose the colours based on my own preferences, but obviously everyone has different tastes and it's impossible to please everyone. I'd love to have a texture pack customizer like The Painterly Pack has, so I could accommodate everyone's preferences. But that's lots of work and I don't know how :sad.gif:

The wonky squares are actually one of my favorite parts! Original but not crazy and obnoxious.

I think you should take a look at John Smiths water animations for both still and flowing. Very similiar to default but different with the hue similiar to yours.

    viewtopic.php?f=1021&t=29164
I think his style of water would work really well in your pack.

Yeah I remember those. I do like them. I actually started with a concept like that, just the nice simple varied plain blue with subtle ripples and shimmers fading in & out, but after a night of toiling my animated water just looked like the default animated water but with a hue change (which I could have done in 4 seconds). I'm not entirely happy with the water yet though. I love the current water texture, I just need to find the right way to animate it.

A very awesome pack may in-fact keep me away from Eld's D:, two tiny suggestions:
1- Perhaps change the Zombie's outfit? Seems kind of strange having them in shirts and ties. :tongue.gif:
2- I see there is an alternate cobblestone (I think?), could we have a moss stone to match it? :smile.gif:
And of course as others have said Biome Colors, I made my own looks awesome.

    Keep up the wonderful work.

Beat me to it. I just changed the outfit. Yeah, shirt & ties made no sense. I don't know why I did that. I think I had left4dead 2 on the brain.

    · Monster spawner
    · Added a tiny bit of sidegrass - By popular demand. But that's all you're going to get! And if anyone else asks for more sidegrass I'm quitting minecraft forever.

    · Added alternate gui -circles instead of wonky squares. This is actually the GUI I started making Jolicraft with, but I always thought it wasn't original enough. But it's in there as gui_alt for anyone who wants to try it.

Yeah I'm not 100% happy with it. I was trying to go for a gentle sloshing back & forth effect, but it's not great. I'll probably take another attempt with a different approach, see how it goes. Someday.

Hey I've got one question : I've found black block after deep-digging, and I can't break them even with a diamond pickaxe. But it seems that on your inventory screen you've got 64 of it. So WTF ? Do I have to insist with diamond pickaxe (already did it about 15 sec...)

That's bedrock, and you can't break it. The screenshot is from my test world, where I used an inventory editor to give myself all the blocks so I could see how they tile. In the game, you can't ever have them in your inventory.

Wow, this is an awsome texture pack. I'm still trying to get used to the (greenish?) coblestone, but other than that it's one of the best 16 packs I've seen. :Diamond: :Diamond:

However, just like some other great texture packs, it doesn't have biome support. I can understand the side grass bug is annoying but I think it could be a biome compatible version in an "extras" folder or something.

Thanks! And I agree about the biomes. I'll do a custom biome colouration soon.

And to the folks who are having wildgrass problems, I'm really not sure what to suggest. I'm not good at troubleshooting these problems. Maybe post your issues in the threads I've linked for folks to help you? (make sure you read the whole first post, they yell at you if you don't). All I can say is that you can apply WildGrass, MCpatcher, and Betterlight/Bettergrass and have them all running at the same time, because that's how my game is setup. You may need to do things in a specific order but I'm not sure. So uh... Good luck!

Sorry, probably not. That's exactly the effect I was going for, a sort of clay like stone, something soft and carveable. The colours I've chosen have been painstakingly selected to work togethe. But if I ever do "flavours" of the pack I'll definitely use your suggestion, many have asked for the same thing. In the meantime, try and enjoy the clay/stone!

This pack looks lovely, but I can't use it as I'm having problems. -.-
I downloaded it and extracted it with Winrar to the texture pack folder and everything seemed fine and dandy.
But when I go to the "Texture Pack" list on the Minecraft launcher, it doesn't show. It just shows the default. I opened the texture pack folder from the launcher and everything was there... monsters, clothing, everything, but it still won't show.
Am I doing something wrong? o.0
Because I would love to use this texture pack.

The problem is that you don't need to extract the zip, you just place the zip in your texture packs folder and the game will detect the zip.
Although, I'd suggest using my "advanced installation" instructions if you can figure it out. The game looks way better if you use the texture patcher I've linked in the instructions. But that's a little more complex.
