Solved! (At least I think so...)
Unless it just coincidentally decided to un-break right at this moment, the ExtraDoors mod was the single one causing the world to not load. I have no idea why, and it may have just been a coincidence, but at this point I'll take that sacrifice if it means not having to worry about this for another two days.

Try to reinstall your mods and fabric

Backup and delete the .minecraft-folder or create a new directory with your profile

Also make sure you are use the latest version of fabric and its api

I ran fabric 1.16.4 (latest version of both it and the api) in a new, blank directory with the same mods I was trying and the save I wanted to load, and I'm getting the same 100% glitch. If I remove everything from the mods folder besides optifine and the API but still play with fabric, it loads perfectly fine. So then, my only guess left is that it has to be one of the mods?

Sorry to post thrice in a row now, I've discovered something new. Trying to create a new survival world (all default settings, even the name, I touched nothing past clicking "create new world") it does the same thing. Except now, it gets to 6% and then completely gives up loading the rest - it's not frozen or "not responding", it just sits there. I tried to let it go for 6 minutes and it just sits there, at 6%. Here's the log from that session: https://pastebin.com/0GbNSDRf

Okay, update. Doing that and loading it in vanilla 1.16.4 works just fine - even farther away existing villages with hay don't crash anything.

However, loading it in Fabric 1.16.4 seems to still give me this 100% freezing thing. That latest log is here: https://pastebin.com/udTHMnc7

    Aaand I'm completely lost again.

You can try this - with Worldedit (replacenear) you can do this via commands in a specific radius

When I try to replacenear any radius past maybe 100 everything seems to break - entities freeze, can't open chests, pressing Save & Quit goes to "saving world" and then freezes, etc.

I'll try doing it in at least the chunks around spawn and see if that does anything?

This refers to a vanilla issue with updating maps from 1.16.1 to a newer version

The missing key errors also refer to vanilla items/blocks and is not related to a mod

    https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MC-191388

You are using worldedit - save important parts of your old world in 1.16.1 as schematics

Create a new 1.16.4 world and load it there

That's not really gonna be an option for me unfortunately - it's a survival world I've been working on for weeks with a fleshed-out village that I've built everything into (and the caves I've gotten are pretty good) so I'd have to save entire chunks as schematics if I wanted to keep it.

You sure there's absolutely no other way to solve it? What If I go back in 1.16.1 and destroy the offending blocks? (I mainly see hay blocks and cactus, both of which I don't need to keep anywhere)

You do have Glassential for Forge in there which could be a problem (though I think it's being ignored) and besides that there was custom dimensions in 1.16.2 or 1.16.3 (though for datapacks not sure if it could apply in some way here) there doesn't seem to be anything off with the mods you have in the folder.

Do you mind making a ZIP file [no RAR files please] (hosting wherever possible) containing those mods.the .minecraft folders that I could look at and import to see what's going on?

    Yup, mods here: https://mega.nz/file/XJR1QQ6Z#alHklGuh19F6uABCHthZjm9VogYRn4tJlPebAVvZBDk

The only datapack I have installed is treecapitator, if that means anything.

EDIT: Removing glassential did not remedy it either.

    =========================================

So, I have no idea what's happening and I'm starting to get tired of troubleshooting it. There's a certain mod I really wanted, but it was only for 1.16.4 and I was back on 1.16.1. I finally decided to just try and upgrade everything - not every mod made it, but most of my essentials did. These are the mods currently installed:

They should all be on 1.16.4, some are on 1.16.3 but I've read that they still work on 1.16.4.

Creating a new save: works perfectly. Loading this redstone superflat world from 1.16.1: works perfectly. However, trying to load my survival world from 1.16.1 (the whole point of upgrading everything), it stays on 0% for a couple secs, jumps immediately to 100%, and then just sticks there. It doesn't crash or stop responding, it just sits there and doesn't move. I can't close the game during this without the task manager. My CPU usage while its stuck is at its idle 6-12% or so, clearly it's not trying hard to work through something.

Any idea what's causing this? My only guess is that it's some items or blocks from a mod that I no longer have installed seeing as the bare superflat world loaded, but I doubt it. I noticed this happening every single time I've tried to load the world in the log file:

But I don't know what the source of these errors are, or hell, how to solve them. Attachments don't seem to be working properly right now, so here's the full log file: https://pastebin.com/P1qL1DBt

Any help's appreciated, lemme know if you need any more info.

    Quote from BlueRains»

If you add in coordinates instead of doing ~ ~ ~, you'll be playing the sound from a certain place.

If you want the sound to be hearable from a greater distance, multiply the 1 you wrote by whatever you want. 1.0 = 16 blocks

    ex.

    /playsound minecraft:ambient.cave @p 13 11 304 21

    /playsound {sound} {to who} {x} {y} {z} {volume} {pitch} {minimum volume}

It still doesn't seem to get quieter even when I do this. I put:

    /playsound minecraft:music.menu record @p -19 56 -11 2 1 0

Into the command block, and it stays the same volume no matter if I fly 1000 (not figurative, I went 1000 blocks out to test this) blocks away.

posted a message on Use /playsound to act as jukebox?

Basically, I want to start playing music from a command block, and it
would be quieter or louder depending on how far away you are. Right now
    I'm using the command:

    /playsound minecraft:music.game record @p ~ ~ ~ 1

But it just plays the song and stays the same volume no matter where I am. I tried

    /execute at @s run playsound minecraft:music.game record @p ~ ~ ~ 1

but that didn't run in the command block at all.

I've also tried using block and music as channels, but to no success.

posted a message on Command block issues, possibly related to going from 1.15 to 1.14.4?

So in a 1.15 server I used to play on, i built a small command block setup that would display a title once you got into a certain range. The setup was as follows:

Command Block [Repeat, Unconditional, Always Active] set to "/execute if entity @p[distance=..90]" -> Redstone Comparator [small light off] -> Command Block [Impulse, Unconditional, Needs Redstone] set to "/title @p title {"text":"text"}"

This worked completely fine before, and recently I wanted to add that to my current singleplayer 1.14.4 world. I went on the server, wrote down the commands and how everything was configured (easy since its just 3 blocks in a row), switched my version, and re-created it in my world.

Worked fine at first, but then I went to edit the execute command and change the distance from 90 to 30, the comparator turned completely off and no matter how many times I try to rebuild the whole thing, It doesn't seem to want to function anymore.

Was there some sort of change in how cmd blocks worked, from 1.14.4 to 1.15? Am I missing something here?

posted a message on Modifying the in-game music system w/ Fabric?

I'm looking to make a mod that changes how music is played. The times at which music is triggered would most likely stay the same, but particularly I'd like to change what music file plays based off of what biome the player is currently located in. e.g If it's sunrise and the player is in a plains biome, a random sound file in the folder "plains" will be chosen and played — or it could be even more specific such as "plains/sunrise", "plains/noon", etc.

I've never made a mod before, so I'm not exactly sure where to begin with trying to modify this. My initial plan was to find MC's code for handling music, and then modify + replace it with the system I have in mind, though I don't know at all where that would be located or how to query for the current time/biome.
