I agree with what everyone else is saying--variety is good! Even people who have really solid "niches" like to branch out and do something else while they're playing.

I'm going to put this out there, and I'm not sure this is quite the answer you're looking for, lol. But, most people who have a "niche" didn't necessarily fall into it because they were born good at it (that's not really a thing), they fell into it because they liked doing it, and so they kept doing it. Over time, they get better at it. My point is, that's just their playstyle, which grew from doing the things they liked. If you like more than one thing, you go and do more than one thing! You'll have more fun that way than trying to restrict yourself to just building, or just redstone, or just minigames. :)

I have to disagree on the idea that people aren't born good at things. Talent exists, it does have to brought out but after some work you can tell whether you're ever going to be good at something or not as a person who gets good in that same time. It's rare but possible for people to like something without being good at it though, for instance with me and PVP.

    No!
Fortune pickaxe is as strong as it is, I prefer metal ores that need smelting with no thought of wasting them because of lack of fortune enchantment.
Honestly, diamond could get similiar treatment as metal ores, except with other tool-block.

Exactly. I also do the 'no mining ores w/o fortune' thing for anything but gold and iron.

Why not? The cow has to store the milk somewhere.

Some people are going to get up in arms about it affecting the game rating.

When I was in Grade 7 science class, I was the only person in my class to not laugh at a video of a cow with its udder moving as it walked.

    Kids are immature.

You can pull mobs towards you with a fishing rod.

If your line reaches far enough, also, you can't reel or pull with a x-on-a-stick at all and you can't uncraft the x off of it either. So you'd need 2 tools.

Plus, a dangling fungus has let's say 20 reach and a strider smell of 16 blocks, that's 36 vs 20 distance away to reach the stridey.

Also, this could be very useful for keeping hogs at bay, as they tend to ignore fungus in my case and still come after me.

It's not a bad idea, but I kind of like the niche thing about how these ores are immune to fortune, particularly for the purpose of me not wanting to use up (finite) resources without fortune iii on my pick.

Also, nether gold ore and gilded blackstone work with fortune (but silk touch is better as you get a full ingot of gold vs 2-6 nuggets or more with fortune.

Look at the arrows on the first video i posted you see what happens when i click my mouse and when i play on full screen it crashes.

also i have another problem which you can see on this video:

Any idea how to fix this?

Nope, I'm afraid this happens with a lot of game-type apps for me, although in my case not with MC. Games are not really meant to be sidelined and tend to act funny when you do that to them. Best thing is to have Task Manager open for easy switching/killing of the program.

What mojang needs to do is fix the friggin traversal, since all they do is try to make minecraft fun and interesting by adding new things, rather than replacing what sucks, or offering better means to survive by creating things that ramp up in terms of craftable objects.

Im sure you've heard the comparisons to terraria, but, for you nay sayers out there, THATS THE POINT, terraria does it "better" BECUASE it offers upgrsdes to traversal which reduce the possibility of death, to the point that falling damage not only is completely negated, but you can actually fly by the end of the game!!

I mean think about it, and i know alot of people place terraria as superior for its combat, but, if with the systems they offered now, the combat cool downs, the bow wind ups, the sheild needing raising, the hunger depleting, the sprinting fatigue from hunger, and THAT F***ING FALL DAMAGE, and the the crap you have to do for a reprieve (THATS NOT VERY GOOD- POTIONS/ENCHANTING/BEACONS!!) and then have the offer something that, instead, offers A REAL PERMANENT UPGRADE, like terraria, going from ropes, to grappling hooks, to jet boots/clouds in bottles, and then to wings (negating all fall damage and even allowing flight!!)

that, THAT, would be a reak upgrade to minecraft and even then allow th to develop more content like the mods would, by allowing them to create other worlds like they did the nether and the end.

Minecraft is more of a survival game than a development game, maybe that's why.

Perhaps Hypixel or the new guy on the block, some 4-letter MC Dungeons / Roblox /Terraria blend, forgot the name, might be more your style.

    My "niche" is resource gathering.

Anytime I'm in a group online, I always am the gatherer. Caving, mining, logging or making expansive crop farms... I'm all about filling chests with everything you can find.

Oh, and making organized storage rooms with a theme.

Literally everything else I fall flat on my face and I don't mind. I've been playing since mid 2010 and haven't stopped. As long as you're having fun, that's all that counts.

Caving has a large aspect of adventure to it though. Adventure is my main thing but I don't like how caves are essentially infinite as it means I have to go farther and farther out to explore them and there's no given boundaries other than ravines for setting gates/stop points.

You should be able to haul out x-on a stick tools in order to lure pigs, striders, rabbits, etc. towards you and hoglins away from you.

With striders it is particularly annoying to have to bridge out over lava to one to lure it over to you, as has been said. Allowing you to cast a line to it to draw it towards you would massively help.

As well, fishing in lava might be a fun idea for the Nether, where you can fish up random scraps with small chances (nether brick, quartz, gold or iron nuggets, a small chance of netherite scrap), except that you need to be in 'open seas' to get netherite or quartz (i.e. on a strider, which makes it hard to fish).

Fishing with a carrot in water, carrot in lava, or fungus in water, should also have interesting (and odd drops)

-perhaps fungus in water gives you more junk than a normal rod, carrots more fish.

Carrots in lava should probably cause you to anger nearby piglins or something, lol.

Are there beds behind them? Combining what I see from the thumbnails with beds, and pistons to block their view so they can get fresh scares of zombies, would allow you to farm not only trades but also iron golems with ease.

there's a mine and dungeon under the ocean.

Also another seed someone mentioned in /seeds/ forum a month ago or so with a skeleton dungeon almost at ground level 40 blocks from spawn. I'll need to find it though, did not save that one.

The temporary lag is just due to changing screen sizes and maybe hitting blocks.

The faster block hit rate in creative is a new 1.16 feature I believe.
