    Quote from MichaelJab
What files are you taking from your windows machine? On Windows if I recall in your %appdata%\.minecraft folder there is a folder called Saves - in there are your saved worlds I guess you can call them.On Linux in your .mincraft folder you can rename the world that you took from your windows machine and rename it to 'world' and drop it into your .minecraft folder and that should allow you to play it. You don't need any of the server settings or any of that. Just the world you are trying to copy. They are compatible as I run a minecraft server on Linux and we play locally also on windows. Where is the .minecraft folder for LinuxLet me know if you need any more help with this
I realize that I didn't explain the problem well, but you seem knowledgeable about the topic, so let me re-explain.I assumed that the Linux version of the minecraft server would act in the same way as the Windows version of the minecraft server, so I created a folder on the Linux desktop and put the server.jar in it. I also took the world folder and renamed it to 'world' then put it in the same folder, but when I ran the server and logged on, it was a completely different world, and it did not create other files that I am used to on Windows. Do you know where the files that the server used are located, or what they are named?W

Where is the .minecraft server for Linux?

I've recently discovered that running Linux Ubuntu gives a large frame rate boost, and I am using it for minecraft. I also run a private survival server for my friends and myself. I want to run the server using Linux Ubuntu so that I can play on it with a better frame rate, but when I took the folder from my Windows XP desktop and put it on my Linux Ubuntu desktop, it does not use the correct world or server properties :SSSS: . HELP!!!

If I import this as a collada into another file, how can I skin it? It always loses it's skin.

The bolded coordinates is very useful for isolating chunks.

When I was playing in the snapshot, I pressed F3, and the pointer turned into an x-y-z axis. Also, the direction I was facing turned bold. Here are some screenshots of snapshot 14w04b in the PrimeCraft 7x7 resource pack.

Today I was playing around with extreme jump boost command blocks in the snapshot. when I put in the command: effect @p 8 100000 200, I could not jump unless I was standing on a slime block. In 1.7.4, I could not jump at all when I tried. I'm guessing that this was a glitch, and if it is, I hope that it is fixed soon.
