I'm making an adventure map and I'm trying to be as in-depth as possible. The biggest problem that I'm running into is that I have no way of controlling the music. Music is a huge part of good movies, and I think it should be a huge part of Minecraft adventure maps. We really need to revamp the way music is done for adventure maps. There are a lot of good "Let's Play" series that edit music into their videos, why not just have the music in the adventure map to begin with?

I'd like someone to make a mod that allows custom music to be played at specific events (like stepping over a pressure plate or when inside a certain radius) or possible specific times of the day. If possible,

Example: When inside a town, music appropriate for that setting would be playing in the background. But, when moving into an ominous cave, creepy music begins fades in. Boss battle music when the boss appears... Sad music when your companion dies... etc.

I've tried many mods that rework music. MATMOS and some other mods came close, but they can only support music specific to a biome, nothing for certain events. I'd like something reliable and controllable, preferably tied to redstone or command blocks.

posted a message on Need Help With Adventure Map Music!
I'm currently making an adventure map but have hit a "wall." I need a way to better control the music in Minecraft and have not found anything that will allow me to do what I need.

Ideally, I'd like to have custom music (around 4-6 minutes worth) play when a player enters a certain area. For example, if the player enters the main city, then music specific to that city would start to play. When traveling in "normal" Minecraft (normally generated terrain), I'd like random music to play. For boss fights, I'd like to have exciting music played with option to loop. My preference would be for the music to be triggered by redstone or command blocks.

I've tried swapping out certain sounds in minecraft with songs, hoping that I could use the "/playsound" command, but that didn't work. I've tried replacing the songs on the music discs, but they only play when a player manually places them in jukeboxes. I've also tried using MATMOS and other music mods, but they either were unreliable or required sacrificing an entire biome type just to be able to use a single song.

I've searched just about everywhere and could not find any tutorials on setting up music in adventure maps. I'm hoping that what I'm planning to do is in fact possible. Any help on controlling music for the sake of adding atmosphere and depth would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

posted a message on Epic Siege Mod - Extremely deadly mob AI for hardcore players [1.7.10, 1.10.2]
First off, I love this mod and I'm really looking forward to using it on my server. However, I do not want to have Blazes on the server... or napalm... (at least, I'd like the option to remove them). In single player, you are able to disable these features with the GUI, and even scale the awareness radius. But what I want to know is how I can change these options for a server.

I've tried changing them on my single player (hoping they would carry over into the server since I'm the host), and I've tried adding a line or two into the properties file in hopes of changing it. But nothing has worked yet. So, is there a way that I can disable these things on my server? If not, could you tell me which class files to leave out for both client and server (just the ones about the blazes and napalm... I've got a lot of wooden structures.)?
