So, my map is about 70% done. With only one area left and refining to do.
So I tried to come up with some ideas for a name. The theme is oceanic.
Vapor Curl Ocean
Ocean of Secrets
Cold Sea
Dark Sea
I want to know which one you guys like. I'm personally leaning towards Ocean of Secrets.
Soooooooo much better! a little work is still needed, just some variation in that stone. Try varying in some stonebrick with worldedit. Also unless this is very late in the map you might consider removing some of the diamond. Also some statues sinking in the lava might look nice. Still though, soooo much better.
I figured you would like it
That's only area in the map that has diamonds. I experimented a lot with the variation. Right now there's stone, sand, sandstone, smoothsandstone, creeper sandstone, netherrack, gravel, dirt, diamond, and cobble.
Hey Apollo. I think you will be pleased with my new Burial Chamber.

Also. Community Question!
When making a large cavern or area. What is your favorite lighting method and how do you do it?
When you want it lit up I mean.
First room looks ok, some more variation of the different sandstones in the walls might help. The area with the couldrons looks seriously outta place, try to fix that place. I'd replace the cobble fencing around the fountain with something a bit more unique, its a bit bland on its own. Also the gravel path is too straight, too perfect. Make it look a little more worn.
Second room: bland, boring, pathetic. Rework the entire design. I'd have an elogated room with curved ends, and statues lining the wall. Just because its a fake burial chamber is no excuse to make it look disgusting. Also the walls are pathetic as well, needs serious improvement. Possibly some light stonebrick lining could help there, and once you add the statues it would look less empty. The burial mound thing is ok, but you can do better. Experiment and see what you can come up with.
The monument looks passive, a half-way job. Try embellishing it, making it more elaborate, while still keeping it compact. Decorate it so it looks like more than a wall of bedrock with holes in it.
I return with a question. Maybe someone can help me.
I feel like something's missing aesthetically from this area, but I can't quite put my finger on it. Can anyone tell what it is (or at least give a bit of advice on what can be improved)?
Note that this isn't the whole area. Just the entrance.

It's a graveyard. I'm going for an abandoned (kind of ancient) look, so no large man-made structures.
I already have graves (labeled with the wonderful people of the CTM community), dead tress, some pumpkins, and tiny ruins that serve no purpose other than looks.
In case you can't tell, the snow layers are meant to look like ashes.
And on a different topic... Lots of nice screenshots posted since I've been gone, and that trailer for The Falling Earth is great. I'm really looking forward to all these maps.
A mausoleum maby?
Looks really good. I think some cobblestone fences would compliment it pretty well.
Erm... Maybe if you put that mob in a specific area, such as a mushroom area, you can then give the zombies a mushroom block as their head? Or maybe add a stacked entity to them, such as a posion potion, so when they die the player can have a small danger of getting posioned? By aetheticly different, problay put a block on the zombie's head or something xD
Just suggestions. :-)
Oh, okay. I was just making the spawners to get rid of the "Bland" vanilla mobs.
Same here.
Also, more CTM related. I've been messing with custom mob spawners. So far I have fast, jumpy, but weak zombies with chain armor.
By weak I mean they have 2 hearts. It still takes a while to kill them because of the armor.
What do you guys think of the balance?
Well, it's not the prettiest, but I bet that if you keep trying, you'll get a lot better
Feedback:
So the first picture still has some pretty obvious brushstrokes, but they actually feel kinda right there ^^. I like the block variation, but I'd suggest using 43:9 instead of creeper sandstone. Just an opinion.
The second picture feels a bit empty, I think you could add a couple of structures with loot in them and make it feel a lot better.
Thanks for the input. Yea, I think I'm going to redo the exterior of that part. I never thought of adding any buildings there. It's a good idea. Thanks. Will report back after more changes.

Umm, I'm kinda like Unknown. I cheat a lot in my maps. But I have finished Sea of Flame (The Original not II) and Infernal Sky legitimately.

It's not limited. You can still play the same old minecraft. IE I can still craft, mine and do it in the way I want.

You could try playing some of the past CTM jam Mini maps.
