We had a drive crash so we're hosting at a new place. I've moved my map files fairly successfully, but when I go to some dimensions (like The End), I get an Unknown World notification. It says to select the world from the Multiworld screen, but there are choices in there like "079d772b-7d2d-4783-8346-cdcbf45722" and so on as well as worlds that have actual names.

We have 7 total worlds/dimensions and it's giving me 6 choices in the Multiworld selection screen, so I'm not sure which one of the weirdly-named files is which and what is missing.

I've been trying out shaders for days and haven't been able to find one that I liked... until this one. It's gorgeous! One setting I haven't been able to find is where to turn off rain drops on the screen in v5. Am I missing it somewhere?

OK good to know. that shouldn't be happening in 1.7.10 and later as it implements shutdownListener. That is of course no guarantee it will catch a shutdown event and save before then. Closing the window with the X or right clicking the taskbar and shutting it down works, but cmd-Q (on Mac I guess?) may be more abrupt

    Yep, Mac. :)

You know what, I take it back. It saved the jungle flight because I quit to menu, then quit the game. I just tried flying around again from the home base and quit to the menu and it saved the data. For now I'll just try to remember to quit to menu, but if you want me to send you any logs or anything, let me know.

No, usually I cmd-Q to quit. I'm not at my computer right now but it seems to me that it does save data if I quit to menu. The weird thing is that this server is the only one I have this issue with. We have our own server and all map data gets saved when I play on it no matter how I quit.

Sorry, I think that came out all wrong - in the game settings I made sure it was NOT set to multiworld because I didn't want it to screw anything up. I wasn't trying to fuss at you!

Okay, I just played around for a minute - here's what happened:

Traveled to a teleport point in a jungle biome I had set a good distance away from my home base and flew around for a few hundred blocks. Quit. Came back. Progress was saved on the map.

Flew from that point back to my home base. Checked the map before I quit - the terrain had opened up where I traveled. Quit. Came back. Where I had just traveled was missing, but the first jungle biome traveling I did was still saved.

It has also saved a good glob of area around my base over time. It just doesn't seem to be saving any long trips originating or terminating from the base. Maybe? I dunno.

Also, the behavior was happening before I trashed my cache files. That's part of the reason I trashed them, to see if it solved the issue (and also to vape the old server map).

No, I said it was NOT a multiworld server since it's not, it just had a server reset. Should I say it's multiworld instead?

posted a message on VoxelMap [1.16.1 to 1.7.10] - a minimap and worldmap

I've been having an issue on a 1.9.4 server (very recently upgraded) where VoxelMap is not saving any map data. This server recently had a reset, and VoxelMap had the old map displayed, so I trashed that server's cache folder from the VoxelMods folder.

It seems like it's doing okay while I'm playing, but if I quit and come back, none of the data is there in the world map. Yesterday I had flown around for a good 45 minutes - none of that is there, just the immediate area around my house. Any ideas as to how to make it stick?

Yay thank you! :) It's gotten to the point that I just won't play on servers where I can't use VoxelMap.

Hey Mamiya - will the current version work with the 1.9.4 Liteloader, or am I barking up the wrong tree? :)

I just noticed that in 1.7.10 if you're zoomed way out on the minimap, it renders the whole thing. On 1.8, if you're zoomed way out, you only get a small square of visibility within the minimap.

Thank you so much for all your help!

One thing I keep forgetting to mention is that sometimes in the world map, scrolling in and scrolling out doesn't work. If I go to another dimension on the same server, like the End, it will work there, but in the overworld, it won't.

http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/worldinfo/ should work for you. I've had that up and running on 1.8

Okay, thank you - and that should pass on the world ID to VoxelMap?
