posted a message on Connection timed out - Extremely infuriating (Archer C7 Version 4.0)

Now, I'm not sure if this is something to do with my router or my firewall. But I can't seem to port-forward my Minecraft server correctly; - even after trying different ports ranging from 25565 - 25590. I've already set port-forward rules on my router administration already, but when I checked to see of my port is open or not;- all I get is Error: I could not see your service on [MY EXTERNAL IP] on port (25565). Reason: Connection timed out. This is a picture of my router configuration:

    port settings

I'm not sure if the image loaded or not (link: https://imgur.com/a/zdxAnEe), but I'll explain it: I made a new port forward rule for my server, I set my internal port to 25565 and my external port to 25565 as well, I also set my internal IP to my IPV4 address, and set my protocol to both UDP/TCP. Then I checked to canyouseeme.org to check if my port was open or not; - it was not. See, what I realized is that when I went to whatismyip.org, It shows my external IP, normal right? But when I checked my routers configuration page, the external IP was completely different, so I'm assuming this was the problem causing all these connection time outs? I consulted this problem to toms-hardware forums for help, the people there said that my router does not have a public IP address which means I could not port-forward. So does anyone know how to solve this?

Alternatively, Is there a way to port-forward your Minecraft server through a VPN service? I've had this problem for months now and It's getting very... VERY infuriating.

Also, I've already checked my firewall and added new rules in order to allow my port to pass through but to no avail; - I also tried to allow certain programs full access to the Internet (if that makes sense) but still no.

By the way, do you guys know how to change your public IP address? It might by a possible solution to this problem

posted a message on How do you make minecraft servers run more smoothly for people that are joining that live far away?
OK, so I'm hosting a minecraft survival world for around 5 - 20 people. Many people have no problem joining the server, but when playing the server, it can be very laggy for them despite the 20 TPS (ticks/per seconds). The people playing has really high ping and often complain about the lag. I live in Indonesia and the other players live in the United States, Europe, and Oceania.

So how do I make my server run more smoothly for people that live far away? (Hope my question makes sense)

For those wondering, my PC specs are:
    Intel i3 8th generation.
    8 Gigabytes RAM.

    WIFI speed:
    Upload: 70mbps
    Download 65mbps

This is my first time posting and English is not my first language so I hope I make perfect sense here. Thanks!
