there is a very simple fix for infinate ANYTHING.....dont use portals...
since you can fall down from aether, you should be able to get back up...
and i dont really want to have to go to the nether...really boring...but that is a common thought amongst you flock so ill go with it. Anyway my idea is simple, use a zephyr to fly up. and if the makers REALLY want you to go to nether first, just make an ingredient of a zephyr one from the nether...there prob solved
once again im gonna say i dont like the idea of having to use glowstone...yes it would be hard...i understand why you would want to do it...but the idea of having to go to nether isnt very entertaning...and having another portal isnt very origonal...

The Aether is another dimension, just like the Nether. Your idea would only make sense if you could dig down from the normal world to the Nether.
acually if you read the FAQ (at the bottom of the pics)it says that if you fall below the aether...you will end up in the real regular world...so actually it isnt another deminsion...if it ways this wouldnt happen!
any way my beef isnt with gathering glowstone...i can get that easily...but that notch came up with portals...try being origonal and since it isnt a nother deminsion teleing there is unnecissary.
oh and you could technically say that the nether is below the world...since there is a layer of bedrock below/ontop between them you never know.
and having to go through hell to get to heaven says nothing anyway...since notch said he isnt associating nether-->hell and im sure aether isnt really heaven otherwise nothin would att you...

i didnt see any statements on how to reach the place...ive heard in the past itll be some sort of glowstone portal?? i dont really like that...kinda implies HAVING to go to the nether...id like to go to aether without being forced to go to the nether...

portal is notches, leave it alone...try something else like getting above a certain height gets you to aether
ie: use a zephyr, plane, hot air baloon(i dont really care which) to fly up annd once you are above like 150 blocks you wll tele there =P
