I totally respect the people who make these, it must be difficult, but I just don't understand why people would want a super realistic minecraft resourcepack. Minecraft isn't exactly the most realistic game, so I personally don't think that this fits.
I agree with you, but I don't really see how this particular resource pack qualifies.
If you're talking about smooth realism, then yeah, it's way to realistic IMHO.
But Default Realism? Have you seem it recently? It's completely faithful to...................well, the default pack! It has the exact same blocky look that normal Minecraft does, but with more grain, shadows, and overall detail. I personally love it.
The only thing that comes even close to this level of awesomeness is "Default Realism", Baulm's pack.
I hope UniBlue media pushes out more updates soon.
The pack is incomplete. UniBlue is still working on it.
I see this sort of question so often, I think UniBlue should just put some sort of disclaimer or explanation in the OP. Bu then, people probably wouldn't read it................................
Guys, please calm down on requests. I know I criticized UniBlue pretty hard (for being present on the forums for months but refusing to update anything), but you guys are just going crazy with update requests. He said he's working on it, and he is. Give him a little bit of time.
You're being realy vague here. You. Red to provide mor info. Why do you want to make this group? Is it just you right now? What do you plan on recording? What type of gameplay? Will it be a buil group? What servers will we be playing on? Etc.
If I may make a recommendation, don't use 512x. Even with the anti-aliasing (with Optifine) that UniBlue mentioned above, resources spent on 512x are wasted. If your screen is 1080p, you can only view 8 blocks at native resolution. Anything farther away will be a waste of RAM.
Nice name...................I still want the forum name "Ace", but they're refusing to give it to me. Even though the owner of that forum account hasn't been active since 2010................
Excellent! I'm glad to hear that, and to see you being active after so long!
And I'll make certain to try out that suggestion in Optifine next time Iog on. It had just never occurred to me due to the fact that I didn't see the point of Antialiasing in a game based on blocks. Makes sense now.
Are you posting this somewhere? I could open up an addon panel so you and other addon creators might become more noticeable.
Best regards,
Thomas
That would actually be brilliant! I know theBuam64 is supposed to be working on a continuation. He, as well as all the other people who've worked hard on add-ons, could get attention that way (as you said).
I've actually enjoyed his pack the most in your absence. It's quite nice...................called "Default HD", I believe. He only makes one resolution, 128x, but it's what most of us use anyway. Anything more becomes too grainy in the distance, and quite frankly, isn't worth the extra lag (which, at that resolution, you will get on even the most powerful PCs). It's much better to lose some nearby quality and run shaders instead.
I'm not sure if you've already been recommended this, but you should check out White Tiger's PVP pack. The pack is based off of more detailed, blocky default textures just like yours. There are certain things, such as enchantments, that look far superior in that pack. Try it, I'm sure you'll get some awesome idea on how to make Default HD better.
Besides that, you're working on a Custom Sky, right?

I was talking to you. Sorry; I'm not too good at quoting. Anyway, what fruit is that in your profile picture?

This pretty irrelevant, but what's that fruit in your picture called?

What are you talking about? Programing is great fun! If you know what you're doing, that is.
