I think that is all I did, I've been super busy and might have missed something.
I think it is Depth of Field. DoF will cause things to blur that you are not directly looking at. Looks cool for screenshots and cinematics, but I wouldn't play with it on. Also, don't forget to adjust your POM Quality size to match the texture size of the Realistico pack you are using. You can also tweak the POM Depth a bit as well to make it less extreme. As for bloom, it's hit or miss but it can give an overly foggy look a lot of the times, doesn't really blur though.
Any reason why you must use BSL? Other shaders can do pretty much the same things, Continuum, SEUS, Sildur's, etc... all good.
What difficulty?
Zombie villagers have a 5% chance to spawn in place of a regular zombie and can also spawn if a zombie kills a regular villager, depending on the difficulty level. (0% on Easy, 50% on Normal, and 100% on Hard)
What type of server is it?
There is a plugin that I use on mine that allows you to set the rate, as they can be exploited like this making it pretty easy to cheese the trades.
I finally took the time to get a 64x version, it should be exactly the same just a lower resolution. So if you couldn't run 128x, this is for you folks
Sorry for the lack of updates, I have sort of put this project on the side and only working on it randomly when I feel like it. So, here is the most current version, v0.3.
Update:
- Bricks
- Cobblestone & Mossy Cobblestone
- Wood Trapdoor
- Red & Brown Mushrooms
- The GUI is currently just a flat basic GUI, I might work on it next.
- A comical sun for now, it will be changed.
- I might have done more, but it's been a while and I did not keep track of changes.
I preferred the old ores but this is one of the only HD packs I would use, good job!
Thank you for the feedback. I have mixed feelings about the ores, can't decide which route to go with them. The new coal however is very hard to spot, the CTM cracked stone textures makes it blend in rather well. I am thinking about pulling the cracked stones out to help with that, and might just redo the ores while at it. Thank you
Update:
I know it's been a while since I last updated, but I have been sidetracked a bit. So, while I am here, here are some of the things I have been playing around with.
- Bed models and retexture
- Making and texturing random things to practice and learn more with the 3D models
- Wooden, Stone, Iron, Gold, and Diamond sword textures
- Various GUI textures
I have a handful of things I'd like to get done before releasing an update. Depending on what all is going on, I might be able to do that sooner.

Tbh I personally prefer the old darker stone bricks. They looked much more sinister and I could imagine myself building lots of dungeons, sewers, and evil fortresses out of them. They also worked really well with the iron bars.
I feel like the new ones are much too light, just my opinion of course
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I've been playing a little lately with the new ones and I have to agree, they seem too light. Going to play around and see how the new ones look darkened.
I plan to have an update released sometime soon, within the next couple of days.
Worked on the new Stone Brick texture yesterday. Got the base stone bricks and a couple of base cracked stone bricks pictured below. Will add some CTM variations later down the road.
Netherbrick on left, the old design for stone bricks, but a dark blue color. On the right is the old mossy stone bricks, once again, old pattern but with moss.
I am currently working on replacements for the stone brick, mossy stone brick, cracked stone brick, and chiseled stone brick. They are too grey looking and square I think. Oh, and nether brick will also be a recolored version of the new stone brick like it was before.
I also am planning to redo the cobble stones after the bricks. Maybe all the wood planks as well.
After I am happy with those, I will begin trying to bring in 3d models to replace a handful of things like the bed, bookshelf (got an idea for it not sure how it will look yet), crafting table, iron bars, iron door, reeds, and maybe glowstone.
My goal with Kingdom of Awe is aiming to immerse the player more into the game than one might experience with the default resource pack. There are many ways and things I would like to try and use to do this.
Higher resolution textures that are photorealistic or as close to seeming real as possible.
Replacing objects that should be 3D and not the typical “X” flat plane images.
A GUI that is good looking, but does not distract the player.
Altering game sounds to match the look and feel of the game.
Higher use of random textures especially for vegetation.
To be able to pull off all of these would be great. Theme wise I’d like to stick with photorealistic, medieval, and RPG inspired. I do not really follow any order while working on textures, so expect some jumping around. I also work on this at random.
I would like to thank you to those who have downloaded the Kingdom of Awe resource pack. I hope you like what you have seen. All feedback is welcomed, hate it or love it.
Not in the pack yet but I would also like to thank BDcraft.net for their 3D modeling application,Cubik Pro. I have some ideas for it once I learn how to get things to work like I want.

Here is a quick comparison of them. Full size image.
64x is version 0.3 but is the same as the 128x version 0.3.1.
128x v0.3.1 Changes
- replaced sun with a proper round sun
- removed a handful of default textures that got left in by accident
- resized a texture found in the GUI to a smaller size since it is a solid color, not sure if that would have much impact on performance though
Also modified the original post a bit, will eventually make some more changes to it.
That pretty much sums it up
One more thing, dropping 1.9 versions unless requested. It's a simple change to the pack.mcmeta for this though.0
