posted a message on Adult vanilla servers?
Hey everyone, I'm 21 and looking for a server with adults only on it. I don't care for, or to be on a server with kids under 18. I would personally feel more comfortable communicating with adults, on a server that has no mods. I usually keep to myself, building a farm in shallow ocean water or on the banks of a river, though I wish for multipalyer because I like to traverse around the world and to other dimensions with other people. I take up little space as I tend to build up rather than out, but not terribly high. If there are any such servers that fit my description please let me know with information of which enables me to log into the server, thanks.

That is the Legend Oak. It appears in almost any biome right now, but that will probably change in v4. No, saplings do not drop from it, so if it's something you like as part of the landscape or want to build in...don't cut it down. We add plenty of other large trees that will supply you with plenty of wood, from the fir and redwoods to the rainbow eucalyptus and bald cypress, which are all 2x2 trees that grow very large.

Really? When I was destroying the leaf blocks to make stairs to climb to the top it was dropping oak saplings.

Does anybody know what kind of tree this is? It's in the plains biome, and it's the only tree in the area, none the less, the only tree of it's KIND in the area, according to my exploring around the biome. Nice for a lot of wood, but I'm curious as to what it is. Also...can the saplings that drop from it make it grow to this size?

You have to install Forge in order to use our mod. You are correct in that there is no BIN folder in the .minecraft folder any longer. You should download the forge installer and use that to install Forge as it makes it very easy and quick. You can then start the game from the launcher. Our mod goes in the mod folder as it always has done.

Ah ok thank you, I didn't know there was a forge >installer<. I've just been using rei's minimap mostly which I'm able to easily install with mcpatcher, so I haven't been using forge till recently.

Hmm..I'm afraid I can't install this, none the less, I can't install forge. The BIN folder in the .minecraft folder is missing, am I missing something with this new client? or... The only folders I have are assets, libraries, resourcepacks, saves, stats, and versions.

posted a message on Any seeds where the weather is rainy constantly?
I've had a similar seed like this before, though the seed is broken due to the constant updates, and I can't seem to find the file to the world I made WITH that seed. I don't mind a lot of rain in the game, especially if I farm heavily in the areas of wheat, potatoes, carrots, and trees. Shorter growing time.

posted a message on I'm sure this has been asked before about the lunar cycle but...?
As Mojang said on one of their update thingies, that you could track the days by the lunar cycle, but the problem I face is that...it doesn't switch over to the correct side like it should. When the moon rises and it's half full with light on the left side, when it goes over head and starts to go down, the part with light on it is now on the right side. For instance...when the moon is rising and the light is on the left like so (|, then as it goes over head and starts to set, it turns into |). Will they ever make the moon switch when it's at it's zenith to the proper side? T_T

Odd question, but is there a seed, large biomes seed, that has weather that rains a lot? For instance, a shower or storm that could last for 1 to 3 days, then stop, then a few MC hours later start again?

posted a message on Any flat estuary seeds?
I'm quite fond of setting up my home along rivers, so long as it's either a grassland, or forest biome, no taiga or mountains or deserts. Does anyone know of an estuary seed in a grassland and/or forest type biome? Estuary pic below.

posted a message on How tall do you think is too tall for a building?
Do any of you try to limit how high you build, or if your on a server, how high otehrs can build? I have created a structure that looks like it's been twisted from the top (pics below). I've noticed that, the way I build each floor...that for as wide and as long the base of the structure is, the more floors there will be. For instance if you build a structure that is 13Lx13W, making it even on all 4, that there will be 13 floors. I also created a 29x29 base, with 29 floors. The issue is...is that since I have 4 bloocks, then go right and add 4 and do this until I reac the other end of the base, there will obviously BE 29 floors, but also the height limit is VERY high. So I built a 13x13x13x13m base and built it up and I got 53m tall. I built the 29x29x29x29 (odd numbers so I only have 1 door evenly), and I got 117m tall. The thing is I did these things on a flat land single player world, and the 117m building is a few blocks from the clouds, if it were to be built on level 64 it would have been 177m at the top. Do you think this is too tall?

The pics below show the 13x13x13x13 structure skeleton I built. you can count the 4m tall blocks which go right every 1m and there are 13 floors.

posted a message on Biomes O' Plenty - Over 50 new biomes, with new trees, plants, mobs, and more!
Ok I installed the mod in the mods folder, it's showing up in forge as the 4th mod I have. I have a server that I wanted to change to biomes o plenty. So I moved my older server worlds out of the bukkit server folder into a folder on desktop and let bukkit make a new world, of course I set the level-type to BIOMESOP but it didn't do anything since when I spawned a new world it was just the original world size of 2, it didn't do anything when I changed the level type to level-type=BIOMESOP Could someone tell me what I'm doing wrong?
