posted a message on Nintendo's thoughts on Minecraft for Nintendo consoles!
As we all know, Minecraft is currently (or at least very soon) will be available on every console and platform you can think of... Except Nintendo stuff! To me at least, this does not make very much sense at all, as Minecraft's inventory management system and crafting systems could be handled much much better on a touchscreen device like the Wii U or the 3DS than the very bad Mattis-type systems on the other, non-pc platforms. Not to mention, both devices use a dual screen setup, which would (hopefully) allow you to not have to leave the game world it'self to access the things like your inventory. ALSO, on the Wii U specifically, it would have the gamepad-only, non-TV support, to allow easier playing anywhere in your house.

Alright, enough of my thoughts on this, now to Nintendo's thoughts!
    http://kotaku.com/what-nintendos-top-game-creators-think-of-minecraft-1593839008

In this Kotaku article, the write-guy was at E3, and got a chance to talk with some Nintendo heads about the possibility of Minecraft on their platforms. Here is a specifci quote from the end that gives me a good bit of hope:
It feels like Minecraft is missing from Nintendo machines, I said.
"Our hardware is the only hardware that you can do both the touch control and stick control," Miyamoto replied, suggesting that, yes, it'd be a good fit.

"You've got to call them up and make it happen," I said.

    He and Takahashi laughed.

"Maybe we're meeting with them!" Miyamoto said. Who knows?"

So, what do you guys think about this! Would you guys be excited to see Minecraft coming to your Wii U/3DS? Or are you guys some CoD playing Xbone 12 year old fanboys who hate everything Nintendo, because they don't have the highest graphics (which I doubt, because this is a Minecraft community...) :steve_sillyface:
Anyways, leave your guy's thoughts in the comments below! (Oh my glob, I sound like I'm on youtube or something xD )

Sir, you must realize - that several other games leave themselves open for such endeavours, all the MMORPG's infact. World of Warcraft, Guild Wars 2, etc - of which many allow you to sell services (or items themselves) for real cash. How Mojang is communicating this is ineffective, and needs to talk to us staff so we can together; fix this online world.

Almost no MMOs allow buying gold/items with real money. Here is a snippet from Blizzard's TOS:
Ownership/Selling of the Account or Virtual Items.
Blizzard does not recognize the transfer of World of Warcraft Accounts or BNET Accounts (each an “Account”). You may not purchase, sell, gift or trade any Account, or offer to purchase, sell, gift or trade any Account, and any such attempt shall be null and void. Blizzard owns, has licensed, or otherwise has rights to all of the content that appears in the Game. You agree that you have no right or title in or to any such content, including without limitation the virtual goods or currency appearing or originating in the Game, or any other attributes associated with any Account. Blizzard does not recognize any purported transfers of virtual property executed outside of the Game, or the purported sale, gift or trade in the “real world” of anything that appears or originates in the Game. Accordingly, you may not sell in-game items or currency for “real” money, or exchange those items or currency for value outside of the Game.

He made my brother, and so many people that I've seen, believe that "Budder" armor is the best. Not that it doesn't help when I'm playing BSG and some sky fan is wearing all gold :steve_lol: , but still, it gets really annoying.

posted a message on [Request] Block Protector Mod
Well I feel like Minecraft is completely lacking a certain type of mod. A mod that protects your world from griefers. You may think "Oh, why wouldn't need this... Mods are for SP, and if I was on multi-player, I would use Bukkit, and there is a plethora of plugins for that. But lets say you are on a LAN world with your friends, or you want to have a server that has mods (Aether, Computercraft, etc.), there is no way to protect your house against griefers, which is why I propose this mod!

    RECIPES-BLOCKS-AND HOW THEY WORK

FOR ALL OF THESE RECIPES, THE SPAWNER BLOCK IS REPLACED BY THE BLOCK PROTECTOR BLOCK

    Block Protector Block

This recipe makes 1 Block Protector block, and upon placing it down, it protects the blocks in the current chunk that you place it in from being broken by anybody else but you It doesn't protect chests from being opened, TnT from exploding, doors from being opened, etc. though. For that, you need, the next block!
<NOTE: This block CAN be broken, no matter what>

    Block Protector XXXXX Clause Block

This is the Block Protector Chest Clause Block. When you place it down in a protected chunk, people cannot open chests in the chunk. There are also other clause blocks, that prevent other sort of interactions and events.
    Other Clause Blocks
    • Door (Crafted with Wooden Door)
    • Lever (Crafted with Lever)
    • Button (Crafted with stone Button)
    • Pressure Plate (Crafted with Stone Pressure Plate)
    • Lever/Button/Pressure Plate (Crafted with Lever, Button, and Pressure Plate)
    • Fire (Crafted with Flint n Steel)
    • Water (Crafted with a Water Bucket)
    • TNT (Crafted with TnT)
    • TnT/Fire (Crafted with TnT and Flint n Steel)
    • Fire/Water (Crafted with a Lava Bucket and a Fire Bucket)
    • Furnace (Crafted with Furnace)
    • Access (Crafted with a Dispenser, Brewing Stand, Chest, Anvil. and Furnace)
    • PvP (Crafted with a Diamond Sword)

    Compact Block Protector

This is just a little utility block. When you put 9 of any Block Protector block together, they become a compact one, which protects 9 chunks. You can also do this with other Block Protector blocks (Example- Compact Block Protector Furnace Clause Block)

    Block Protector Edge Viewer

This block puts fences around the edges of your chunk, to highlight the area of your chunk. Anyone who breaks these fences doesn't get any drops, they are broken instantly, they go away when you break the edge viewer block, and if they go away, (And if it replaces any block, they go back to normal, but it should try and not replace blocks (and preferably place blocks above grass/sand, replacing air))

    Block Protector Friend Block

Most of you are probably wondering "What do I do if I want one of my friends to be able to live with me?" The answer is simple, the Block Protector Friend Block! If you place down this block, and if a person right-clicks it, as long as the block is down, they can build in your chunk!

I will add a bit more soon, but for now, this is the basis to the idea! Your feedback is very much appreciated!

    Quote from DaRkMaStEd

Thanks and i don't think this mod will ever be as good as thaumcraft or buildcraft.

Personally, I hope that this mod is never as "good" as TC or BC. I don't really like either mod, and the main reason why I don't want this mod to become like them is because this mod is simple. It doesn't need to add a whole bunch of random things, and become super big. Even if you added 20 more runes, this mod would still be fairly simple, as it is just craft rune -> right click -> gain effect. I really don't want this mod to turn into something gigantic, as it's simplicity is part of it's charm.

    Keep up the good work.

posted a message on Forged Swords! 430+ Supporters!
I'm sorry, but I definitely do NOT support the forging weapons to add colors to their names. The reason why is because even though we can rename items in anvils, we can't add color/formatting, so lot's of plugins depend on this, for example:

You have a plugin that adds spell books. One is called Fireball. A player could just rename their book in an anvil to Fireball, and then they would have cheated in the super awesome spell book that they were supposed to get from a dungeon. So then the developer realizes that by changing the Fireball name to Fireball, now a player can't rename their book and get the spell anymore.

I know quite a few plugins that use mechanics similar to this, so my vote would have to be a no.

Well I don't make use of steel, but Metallurgy silver SHOULD work in place of Sorcery silver and vice versa, thanks to the Forge Ore Dictionary. I'll also take a look at some of Metallurgy's nether metals and maybe add some compatibility.
Did I say Steel? I'm sorry, I meant Silver ._. But that would be great!

Hello! This mod looks awesome, but I was wondering if you could somehow make it compatible with Metallurgy? Metallurgy already adds Steel and a bunch of Nether metals, so it would be great if you could make a feature that will use some of the Metallurgy 3 ores when you have both installed for the recipes!
