One more question if I may - I saw that Zeppelin mod is being revived. Is there any chance of compatibility with BTW when it comes out?

Let me reiterate every single page in the thread: BTW does not support any compatibility. If it works, good for you, if not, it's a shame.

Wow, you people are quickdraws on this stuff.

This is probably a good sign in your eyes, but I've been almost scared to start up Minecraft for fear of death and the need to restart.

Even my backup saves (I know, boo) aren't enough to prevent such fear. Good psychological conditioning, FC.

Okay, so SCP-914 asks a question. Better answer.

    P.S. What are creeper oysters?!

You make diamond ingots with them, which replace diamonds in normal tool recipes. (wiki power)
As for what they are... I say highly corrosive egg sacs which allow the diamonds' integral hardness to infuse the iron. (note that the term "egg sac" may be a euphemism)

I was mostly asking to be sure that you do make such considerations- thank you for doing so. Knowing that the difficulty curve is under control helps my play.

Notice in Icy's video that he spends about a third of the current time to make a stone pickaxe, allowing him to actually get a small hidey-hole before night comes, and that he only procures food with by killing animals with the now-nerfed fist. Early game play was only just viable without hardcore wood and fist, and now it's much, much harder. The hardcore wood mode also increases the amount of food-energy used in the initial woodcutting process, starving the player further. I ask that some consideration to these factors be made so that one doesn't generally lose their ability to move before the first night ends.

I haven't played this for a long time- Not since BTB came out, I think- and I must say that this mod plays dirty. Overall thoughts so far:

"Okay, I've ransacked the entire village I found- too bad about the lack of wheat- but now I'll cook up some char- oh, wait, I just made a campfire. Dangit."
"Okay, I've died right out the gate five times, and I'm getting annoyed with restarting each time. I'll just use a bonus chest to speed things u- ...golden dung. Yay."
"WHY ARE THERE NO SEEDS IN THE ENTIRE GRASSLAND?!?"
    "How do I food?"

If someone could direct me to some tips to deal with food issues, I'd be glad.

Idea, inspired by your new avatar: Any new alchemy items or blocks woud require the use of an alchemic crafting system involving transmutation circles drawn with a certain level of dust (iron, gold, diamond, whatever). Items would be placed at certain positions on the circle and then the player would activate the circle (as seen in your avatar). This would serve to emphasize machines' alchemic nature and prevent mass-creation without significant effort, even with high amounts of available material.

I find it interesting that pretty much the entire old transmutation system is back- looks like my old diamond-making cobble generator could be rebuilt!

That's fine, but if someone using technic has a problem they need to go to technic with it.
Some mod makers don't mind their mods being in technic but quite a few that I enjoy do. Yet technic steals them and modifies them anyways. So ANY problem their users have are THEIR problems and not the mod makers. That's my opinion anyways and I know I'm not the only one.

This really isn't the place to rant, friend. Most of technic's major mods have given permission, and many smaller modders really just don't have the crowd strength to stop the process. I agree that theft is a concern, but at least technic's inclusion of their work could increase their popularity in some capacity. However, please refrain from expressing your concerns where the Technic devs won't even notice.

Suggestion: If an alchemy bag is placed into a A. Chest or Condenser, anything put into the container (other than more alchemy bags) will be placed into the first bag that already holds that item. If nothing has it, the first bag in reading order receives the item.

This would be useful for high-yield Collector arrays that don't allow access to the Condenser. It might also be nice to have the capability for remote collection from these or other automated factories.

Great work, Pahimar, you're doing well here.

Suggestion/request: Would it be possible to add a way to link an alchemy bag's inventory to the inventory of an alchemy chest placed in the world? That would be a fantastically useful way to just send ores and stuff home for processing without actually having to run home to do so.

Erm... I suppose that's support, then? Please try to read at least the last page, friend.

I would ask that the DM armor gets some buffs. Currently, it preforms worse than diamond armor, yet is about 32 times as expensive. For example, I just got blasted by ONE creeper and died, while wearing the full DM armor set. I really hope this is a bug or something.

Additionally, I've noticed that experience becomes rather useless one you get DM tools and armor, making the Mind Stone entirely pointless. The ability to use the mind stone to convert XP to or from EMC would be nice. Perhaps one level would be equal to a diamond or so. That conversion may seem a bit high, but barring a grinder it can take about as long to get one level as strip mine for a whole diamond vein. The high cost would also prevent overpowering the enchantment system.

    So, whaddaya think?

    My thoughts exactly :smile.gif:

Personally I'd just have keavetors super slopes! Then they should do something about extending the hotbar to hold more than 9 items.

What, is Steve? going to grow four hands and an extra head next? It's a core part of the game- mods are for that, not vanilla updates.

Wel, that's nice. Should help to liven things up a little, especially since you could make a plaid ceiling or something like that.
I would like to mention that it's not really a leak when the lead developer releases teaser images.

This is all well and good, but how about fixing the caves first? Caves are a HUGE part of MC... Yeah we can go strip mining, which didn't take mlong to get 2 stacks of iron and about 5 stacks of coal. But I still like to see my caves! Though I did run into a mineshaft on the snapshop. Was kind of surprising.

Caves are fine, really, you're just getting unlucky. If you were to check with an x-ray texture pack or mod, you would see that caves are still very prevalent. In any case, caves are a rather rare feature IRL, so you're already getting a TON if there's even just one cave in every square kilometer of the entire world, and you have much, much more.
