I'll definitely keep an eye on it. Hopefully you'll be able to hear back something useful on it. Your mod is our top priority to be used on our server once these issues are resolved. I appreciate the effort. Thanks!
Thanks for the reply. It seems to be incompatible with Galacticraft (or vice versa). As soon as I add the micdoodle core portion of the mod into the mods folder it causes it to crash.
As our server's primary function is the galacticraft mod it's not realistic to take it off so easily. Would there be some way to jerry-rig the two together so it would function properly? I am assuming it's not so easy and would require a little bit of overhauling, which I would not expect you to have to do.
Just for troubleshooting purposes I did the other two things you've suggested - there is a linkapi.dll in the win32-x86-64 folder, and the mod still does not function with anti-virus disabled/uninstalled.
Great job with everything you've done with the mod so far. It's something my friends and I have been seeking for a while now. Unfortunately we are getting a crash on startup while trying to launch the game through forge. We've been running mods through forge for a while now so are fairly familiar with it.
Hope it helps. It says near the bottom that mumblelink failed to initialize.
Though I don't know what my friend's pc was running, I'm running on a windows 7 64 bit OS. (And, yes, we did check the box under plugins in mumble) Edit: Friend is running 64 bit as well.
this is also where you make suggestions to notch and thus he can make a better game
people will complain For example I hate how the swamp looks now
deal with it
That's not productive and you still come out sounding like an ass. A proper approach would be saying you don't like how the swamp looks, but then suggesting what you would do differently. That way there can be an understanding as to WHY you don't like something.
Bump for the love that is holy. I don't even know why I bothered checking back at this forum. People complaining about a voluntary patch? Really? This is literally THE definition of first world problems.
"My favorite video game has an extra feature I don't like..."
A pre-release as in, not the final product for the patch. A pre-release as in, we voluntary downloaded this non-mandatory patch to help notch test things. These are not all the features that will be in the 1.9 patch, and most of the features that are in right now are not complete. You have purchased a BETA, remember you are testing new features, there might be issues when they are first released. You report them with maturity, not with anger. Bugs are expected and reporting them is our contribution. Calling a patch useless, which wasn't even officially released (Just put out there for us to have a look-see), is just plain stupidity.
We were promised regular updates, and we are now getting them. That means we do our part and report bugs. They will stop though if we keep acting like the spoiled hive-mind we are. What do you prefer?
EXACTLY. 1.9 is a totally different game then 1.8 (well i guess 1.8 was totally different then 1.7 but good different, ya'know, like actually realistic, and not being able to mable frosty the snowman with a pumpkin on his head and can fire infinite snowballs).
Pre-release needs to come into mind here ladies in gentlemen. This is not the full 1.9 release. This is not the final product, it's fine to express your concerns, but also understand this.
all drivers are current, as is Java (you can see the current version in the error log)
Getting crashing as well. Tried the whole nine-yards as far as basic fixing goes. Updated drivers, ran defrags, cleaned up the pc, redownloaded my java, wiped out my entire minecraft folder and put on a fresh install. It just doesn't work, plain and simple. 1.8.1 works like a charm, the moment I put on 1.9 it just dies.
That's your definition of proof? Minecraft development has always been striving towards making things work 100 percent in multiplayer. That is how the classic went, this is how survival will be. You can't instantly develop a multi-player game without offline play functionality for development, it is just impossible. Eventually, the multiplayer will be getting the full attention once single-player features are all said and done (at least for a released status). The game you are playing now is likely going to be nothing how it will be in the future. It only seems to be single-player only because that's how things work during development. It is much harder to get things working for a multiplayer game. It would be moronic to think that multiplayer would be secondary.
lol, wut? You can most definitely create a multiplayer game while ignoring the single player part of it. To think single player is secondary would also be "moronic." Stop forcing your opinion on people.
Way to ****ing completely miss the point.. but yeah, you can act clever and pretend like you had the slightest idea of what I was talking about.
Show me some evidence to support that, as far as everyone is concerned it's SP focused, the fact that SP get's the bulk of the updates proves that.

See how it's like to act like a human-being?

So you mean affirmative. Not negative.
Edit: read it wrong.
