    I'd recommend stripping down your install to the bare minimum (fresh .jar, Modloader + BTW), and then re-adding mods one at a time to find out where the problem originates.

    Also, I'd opt for a manual installation if you're using any kind of mod installer utility. That seems to be a source of many problems as of late.

    I'm having an issue and would love some help if possible! The game seems to run okay in survival, but in creative, if I open up the block list and scroll down my game crashes. It flickers to the error screen for barely a split second and then goes black. When I check ModLoader.txt, there's no error in it. Confusion ensues!

    I know the issue is BTW because I have no problems until I install it. I was having issues and realized through searching this thread that I needed to install OptiFine AFTER BTW so I did that and expected it to work, but it doesn't. It fixed my texture issues but not this crash.

    I figure it must be a problem with OptiFine, because I've never had compatibility problems with BTW in the past through careful use, and this is my first time trying OptiFine.

    Mods I've installed:

    ModLoader
    ModLoader MP
    AudioMod
    OptiFine MT
    CodeChicken Core
    Not Enough Items
    Rei's Minimap
    BTW

    every single time I try to install force, be it on a blank client, modded client, whatever, it gives me black screen. I have no idea why, I got modloaderMP and normal modloader, I drag the contents of the .zip (without the .txt) into my minecraft.jar, and, BLACKSCREENNNN


    Same problem here.. I have experience installing mods and know what I'm doing, so what's with the black screen? Getting annoyed.

    Squids don't despawn on their own, that's a feature/bug of minecraft currently, not of this mod.
    And they tend to swim down so when searching for them to get rid of them you have to look down at the bottom.

    How the frick do I get squids to despawn. I turned off squid spawning AND set the limit to 0, but they're not going away. I thought they'd despawn after a time, but they're hanging around, and I'm having to kill them.. There's no way I'll be able to make sure my entire map is clear of squids!

    From what I researched, you have to despawn all of the squids first before you will see sharks and dolphins.


    Aahhh.. So do I just need to do this once initially, or can I not have squids (ever) if I want dolphins and sharks? Thanks for the quick reply :smile.gif:

    I wouldn't think it should be too hard - just make it look like a fence, and position like a fence, but function like a door (only in the center of a block as opposed to on one edge)

    (but what do I know, I'm not a modder)

    Pretty sure this conflicts with BabyAnimals. I wasn't getting any horses spawning, possibly sharks and dolphins too. I did see bears so I knew the mod was working.

    I don't care, I just uninstalled BabyAnimals, and it works fine. Just thought I'd let everyone know, so if they're having problems they know what's up :smile.gif:

    Thank you DrZhark, you are truly awesome!

    I have a question for you. I know Farmcraft isn't updated, and this is not a "PLZ UPDATE NAO" post, don't worry! After this mod, Farmcraft is the last one I need to make my old save work, and I'm wondering if I can run that save alright by deleting the Farmcraft items from my inventory, or will the Farmcraft mobs also cause a problem?

    (or should I just wait for Farmcraft? haha)

    Yes. I did this for internal compatibility's sake, though I realise it makes the mod really tex ID and block ID hungry when all you want is an Apple Tree.

    If you delete it, FancyPack tries again with the default IDs, which won't conflict except possibly with other mods.
