Mar 2, 2011I would like some new blocks:Posted in: Requests / Ideas For Mods
You get it by getting gravel and putting it over a bucket of water. But I dont have a good idea how the block would look like, so ideas are good.
= bucket o water

(crafting idea needed)
Make it so it can store things.
Possibly make it so you can write in it?
COLORED GLASS/STAINED GLASS
 dye

You can walk through it but with speed drastically decreased.
(the same way you make diamond/gold/iron/lapis lazuli blocks except with it being slimeballs)
Redstone blocks could (your idea here)
Coal blocks could (your idea here)
Yes i would like these blocks, and whoever can mod it can post an idea.
ANY SUGGESTIONS OR IDEAS ARE APPRECIATED.
Feb 28, 2011Posted in: SuggestionsQuote from TalonDemonKing »Sneak makes your footsteps muted, hides your name, and makes you move slower. It also prevents you from falling off cliffs, and you won't trample your crops while sneaking through them.
The first 3 are PvP related, the last two are very viable PvE uses.
Besides, what more would you need sneak to do? Rogues could sneak attack out of stealth, but skeletons and zombies (Both undead) were immune to critical hits, and therefore sneak-attacking. Same with Slimes, and for all we know, Creepers could fall under the same category.
With that bit of background knowledge, I don't really see a need for more uses for sneak.
I didnt say anything about critical hits. And you cant really effectively attack mobs in stealth, at least without a bow.
if i, lets say, hide in a cave, and i see a skeleton with it's back is toward me. i hold shift, and walk toward it. But then, just about 7 blocks away from it, it suddenly faces back and kills me.
the sneak i am suggesting wouldnt let this happen.
Feb 28, 2011I remember a mod that does this!Posted in: Requests / Ideas For Mods
However, the sad part is that the bedrock is going to be as hard as obsidian.
I am sorry to inform you i cannot remember the link.
I don't know.

ANYWAYS ON TO THE TOPIC!
When i first played MC, i looked in the controls. And i saw:
SHIFT : SNEAK
And when it was nighttime ion MC, i tried to "sneak behind a mob. HOWEVER, the mob just turned around suddenly
when i was 7 blocks away. That was when i was confused. And now it is what, Beta 1.3_01?
SO how about making sneak mode really make it so that you actually sneak. Like make it so when you sneak, mobs wont notice you unless you hit them or you bump into them.
So? what do you think? You are welcome to add some ideas to this.
:biggrin.gif: props to those who read the whole thing!
The problem with this idea is Sneak Mode isn't for literally "Sneaking". Sneak mode is made from falling off cliffs. So maybe instead of calling this "Sneak Mode", maybe you should call this "Stealth Mode" or something. Think of something else, as the idea of Sneak Mode had been added to the game. Other wise, I find it kind of useless, but somewhat helpful.
No diamonds for you, but hears a because I think it was an OK idea. (Iron Ore means 3/5)
"stealth" is just like what i said. Still though, I'm sure this would be great to put still.
No diamonds for you

Feb 28, 2011Posted in: Requests / Ideas For ModsQuote from firefudge »you can, just place the top one first
OP is asking for a mod that allows different half blocks to be placed on top of each other.
EX: Steve places a cobblestone half block. But Steve wishes to put a Sandstone half block on top of
the cobblestone half block. BUT ALAS! Steve is slapped by the game for trying to put the sandstone half block on top of the cobblestone half block.
(you currently cannot put a half block on top of another different half block.)
Feb 28, 2011Posted in: Requests / Ideas For ModsQuote from grabmyrooster »I was talking with a friend about durability issues. I thought that there should be one more block type that is only mineable with diamond, and is the most durable: Bloodstone. Bloodstone IS already a nickname for netherrack, but it should be its own block. It should look like dark red diamonds, and when you mine it, it should drop diamonds....but red. And they should be extremely durable. I would do it myself, but I haven't learned enough Java and I haven't the time or software.
Cool! This would at least put something in the nether.
(hands you a , the color being red.)
I CANNOT MOD THIS.
