Hey so I'm playing in that new Java 9 or whatever it's called version of the game, and Lycanites Mobs seems to be ignoring the configs. For example, before I used to be able to change the number of Afrits to spawn at once to 1. But when I started playing, several of them appeared at once.
Ok, serious question: Does anybody play this mod without messing with the configs at all? If so, how do you manage to navigate the Nether and the End without constant, never-ending battle?
# If true, the 'Spawn Dimensions' list will act as a whitelist instead of a blacklist.
B:"Shadow Mobs Spawn Dimensions Whitelist Mode"=false
}
Doesn't the whitelist = false mean that it's now a blacklist, thus forbidding them from entering the dimensions "1" and "-1", which are the Nether and the End? Yet Shades & Chupacabras are still showing up in the End. How can I fix this?
Yeah, I checked the website and it says live animals. Damn, that seems near impossible. At least for my teeny brain; I'm sure some YTer could come up with an elaborate contraption that auto-feeds cows to Chupacabras underground and farms them or something.
I really want to have tamed Chupacabra and Pinkys, but the site says that you need baby ones to tame? I've been playing with this mod since 1.7.10 and I have NEVER seen a baby Chupacabra (and I've met probably thousands of adult ones). Is there some trick to finding one?
Same. Have been completely spoiled. Large flat plains that aren't full of holes? I can't go back to vanilla after that. I'm just waiting for the 1.11.2 version so I can play it with my other favorite mod, "Realworld".
I agree - OP has suggested & asked for other suggestions - can't see a problem with that...
... So here's my additional suggestion now that I've had time to think things over
I've seen many mods that allow Rotten flesh to be smelted or some crafting recipe to produce leather or edible food.
I'd like to suggest something like this...there's no lack of getting rotten flesh (just go out at night or tempt zombies to a group party & wait until daylight ) & apart from eating it (& running risk of poison) it doesn't have many other uses.
My suggestion though is that you get a 'portion of leather' rather than '1 [Smelted] rotten flesh = 1 leather',
Something along the lines of rabbit hides (4 Rabbit hides = 1 leather) perhaps ?
- possibly '2-3 [Smelted] Rotten Flesh = 1 Leather' ??
Yeah, I came here to post basically this. I never have a Minecraft game without some kind of rotten flesh to leather mod.
The advancements feature has potential; it just needs some kinks worked out. Yesterday I was playing for a good half hour before it suddenly was nagging me about punching wood lol. It doesn't seem as straightforward as achievements, but maybe that's just because I need to get used to it.
That's true; its much easier (especially early-game) to make a build out of the same old wood & stone materials. Maybe the key is to hold off on building something major until i have, like you said, several stacks of different blocks.
Why is the scrollwheel semi-unresponsive for this version? I'e never had this problem before. Also holding shift to crouch completely disables the scrollwheel. Makes it borderline unplayable for me.

Oh yeah, I didn't see that section. Ok, I'll try that out, thanks!
Side note, what's up with the Phantom Spawn Dimensions being -1000? Odd.

So I've changed the "shadowmobs-spawning.cfg" file, intending to keep the shadow mobs from spawning in the End. It looks like this:
"group settings" {
S:"Shadow Mobs Spawn Biomes"=ALL
S:"Shadow Mobs Spawn Dimensions"=1,-1
# If true, the 'Spawn Dimensions' list will act as a whitelist instead of a blacklist.
B:"Shadow Mobs Spawn Dimensions Whitelist Mode"=false
}

Oh, is that it? So you don't start out giving them treats. First you have to breed two adult ones? Ok, I'll try that. I'm assuming they eat meat?

It's the spiritual successor to Plant Mega Pack & Decoration Mega Pack.

Ah, I see. Thank you.

So is 17w17b just bugs fixes or what? I can't find anything about it.
