Hmmm. Upon testing it in the latest snapshot in my resource pack, the placed redstone still looks like it currently does. It doesn't look like the + piece that it was in alpha and beta.
EDIT: Woops! Must have put in the wrong file. That's why! Thanks!
Ok, thought now would be a good time to bring this back up. I've looked at the latest Snapshot, and it is complicated! So many files for redstone, i don't know where to begin! Has anyone else experimented with the idea in the latest snapshot yet?
I used to be one myself.Good thing I didn't, as Mojang made the launcher MUCH harder to replicate. No new cracked launchers have been made yet for 1.6 and above.
Hey all. Since playing indev for a few days, I thought "why not release my map to the general public?" The map already has a good start, and is pretty straight forward, so I present my map indev map to all! https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B_n6Gr_uRt2ESmdnWlpZVVZUWDA/edit
Guy's, I think Mojang is getting lazy. They slop things together now. :/ I hope they don't keep it up like this, or they might lose a lot of good people.
I support this as well! Even though I never got the chance (or even knew this is how it worked) it seems Mojang has stripped Premium Players of some great feature's lately. Cape's, colored text, some older versions of Minecraft in the launcher (ex: survival test, indev, etc, etc). And that list goes on.
Hello all! As I was studying Minecraft Indev's code, I came across a line that is what the current minecraft uses to download sound and music, and that is why Indev still has sound! So I've been playing around with Survival Test's code, but even changing the place the music is downloaded screws up the game, and thus, survival test in the launcher does not load. Classic will just re-download it's .jar if anything is tampered with, so classic may be a bit far off. So there may be a fix for sound for the Launcher version of classic and those who added survival test manually to play in the new launcher!
Here's a brilliant idea (that might not be so brilliant) for a mod. What about restoring 4 old mobs that were dropped in Indev Version 0.31, those being Rana, 2 Steve's, and Beast Boy? It might take some time to convert them correctly (since Dock used something that OBVIOUSLY wouldn't work correctly) to Minecraft, and give them proper animations, and item drops. Might be a good idea since it would be fascinating to see them working correctly in a Minecraft now!
At that time, there was no tutorial's really around. You had to learn the HARD way. I remember learning the hard way. Though a creeper was friendly, Learned it was not after that...
