I can't help but notice the wither bone seems a bit out of place, seeing as all the other items are dragon related (except for that iron hoe?). Also is it just me or does the bone sword seem off?

EDIT: Don't mind the avatar changes, I'm messing around. It's still good o' Zeklo!

I am noticing that the list expands every week, but not many things get done.. other than that I love the submerged forest! :)

It's a lot easier to think then to get it done after all (no insults to the devs, I haven't been keeping up on what is getting done or not so I couldn't say. Just replying with a "witty" response).

    Work on the Bestiary!

The bestiary will function as a guide for players to follow in there explorations of the mythical world.

I hope there are "torn pages" or something like that for super secret info. I can't explain specifically, but I always love little things like that.

I'm curious about how finding eggs will work. I'd assume they just "generate" in dens.

I say this because dragons as supposed to be rare (right?), having two in close proximity would honestly being terrifying. It would be interesting though. Especially watching dragons fight over a mate (haha, three in one place... rip everything). I'm getting more far-fetched by the second, but it certainly is an intriguing thought.

a "respect" system is currently planned as it would be difficult for early players to fight/defend themselves from nearby dragons. Currently we have an idea of offering them livestock to keep there blood-lust sated.

Just how long would this work on a dragon? Like what tier would this become ineffective?

Will they also have attacks like tail swings and such if you get too close? So that it is difficult to melee them, but also hard to range them because of fire. It would also be awesome to see dragons do dives that form craters and such, but they would have to be very high tier. Also, about how you were saying you could offer food to lower tier dragons to keep them from attacking you? Would that possibly make them less likely to attack you when they are higher level since they are used to you?

Would be interesting to have a "respect" system. Though the question is does this "respect" outweigh its hunger?

posted a message on Mowzie's Mobs: Powerful overworld enemies and more! - Version 1.5.4: Down below and up above!

I'm the dreamer not the modder, whether this/upcoming suggestions are reasonable or even possible is not what is focused on, coming up with something is--

Suggestion Engage! (Three yays for broken formatting!)

Giant mushroom-like, several finned creature (whale comes to mind) that flies around. Can be found in the mushroom island "disguised" into the ground. (The shrooms grew all over it)

    Attacks:

    1. Spore Bombs: There would be several "hole" like spots on its side which leak out the spores as it flies around.
    2. Belly Flop: The creature floats above the player and then slams its weight into the ground. If the player avoids the direct hit there is still the shock to deal with.
    3. Vile Exhaust: The creature "wads" up (charge attack some what) and then expels a "gas" (for the lack of a better word) towards the player.
    4. Dive: The creature dives down knocking the player into the air.
    5. + Slap: A certain health thresh hold the dive will change. When thrown into the air the beast will then proceed to slam you back into the ground.

Whales have been on my mind. Well not exactly whales... I was thinking of some sort of behemoth proportioned (within the bounds of rendering of course) beast that flies (I don't want to limit any visual ideas!). Oh and lots of side fins! Like I said it started from me thinking of whales, so of course I imagined a flying whale and the ways I've seen that portrayed. As far as flying things go, I always expect them to have a "bombing" sort of attack. That is dropping some sort of damaging... stuff... Not bombs though, it would be an organic creature. Spores would work. That gave two more immediate options: alien-type or mushroom. We are talking minecraft and I'm sure if anyone wanted, they could pull off alien, but the mushroom island is already a thing and makes the most sense in my eyes.

So we're talking a mushroom "whale" (finned organism) that can fly. Considering the size and the ability to fly in the overworld, there can't be very many so naturally spawning these could be problematic. Solution? Why not the classic slumbering monster? You see a large formation of mushrooms and approach. You try and harvest these and suddenly a beast breaks free of the shrooms which had grown on its back during its long slumber. Fight engage! Of course, they don't have to be hostile. They could, but neutral would work just as well. Either way that's the idea at its roughest.

Of course you can't have a mob with just one attack now can you? Well you know what you've never seen but would love to? A 'whale' belly flopping. That being said he would be belly flopping on you... so there is that... You'll see his shadow (I think?) when he is going to belly flop, so you will have time to duck and cover, but an impact like that doesn't need to be head on because the shock will... well shockwave. Shockwaves are cool right? As far as I am concerned every flying mob needs a dive attack. Like com'n right? Maybe... Seeing a whale dive bomb would be pretty... scary? Right that's a scary thing? Perhaps. It would fly down and slam into the player sending them flying upward, and then they would use their back fin to slam them right back into the ground. Combo....!

    ...

I mention a gas attack in the tl;dr. The formatting has disheartened me, so I shall leave this as is. Should still be a good amount of info. Much like before, I just wadded any idea that was plausible into it and nothing is "a complete package".

And you could be more polite when asking if you'd like to receive a polite answer.

Before reading this, take heed that I mean nothing bad by it, despite how it may be read/interpreted.

I don't see anything relatively 'impolite' about his comment. Grammatical errors? Sure.

I believe his past statement was trying to say it would have been a better choice to have had it made for 1.7 instead of 1.8 (as in when starting, the past, and of course is his opinion). Not go and make it or revert it to 1.7. So if his comment was intended to be harsh or impolite (which I don't see, because I am a bystander) it might be because he got a relatively harsh answer for a comment that he meant nothing by but was simply misunderstood. A miscommunication due to the phrasing of both of you. I don't mean to be picking sides, but I can't say I'm not biased to the underdog (no offense to him).

I can fully understand (well not really, but I get the gist) of the stress you have to deal with and such as a dev, but Xenomorph is seen quite often on this thread and a very loyal supporter as I see it. It's understood the "threat" was in general, but having quoted him before can lead to speculation. Let's not drag this on with petty rambling, and I dare say this to you especially you Alex. As a dev, you are to be seen in a "higher-light" like it or not. The last thing you want to do is look bad, be it you fault or not, because it very well may be imprinted on you forever. That is what happened when you are in the "spotlight". I love you guys, but I can't and won't be afraid to speak my mind, even to you great devs.

I understand what I am asking may be unrealistic, but I will request that neither of you (Alex & Xeno) reply to this comment. The last thing I want to do is strike up more of this, even if that is what I have done in the process. I'm no moderator, but I would like to see this thread flourish and be clean as I do enjoy it. Good day to you both.

It's not really mythical then is it as in has no presence in historical mythology.

Although true, I believe that is only one meaning of mythical.

I just want to say, don't make it easy for us. I really hope this mod will be a huge challenge and not just spamming my sword on a dragon. And 1 more question, will you make it compatible with 1.7.10 in the future?

This is being a bit extreme, but I hope that not everyone is cut out to be a dragon slayer. Exaggerated of course, but I do hope it provides its fair share of risk alongside the rewards.
